Is there any way to make the cursor actually snap to the grid while using the pencil tool? It isn't that big of a deal but it would be pretty helpful and I thought I remembered it doing it before but now it won't

Hello, I have an archive of .psd artwork files from 2018 and before (in the 90s). They were last opened using Adobe Photoshop CC 2018. I now want to open them in the latest PS version (2025) to make edits and prints. What is the best way to open the files without any file information like layers or colors? I am on iMac and Macbook.

I recently installed Adobe CC on my computer. I am now getting the following error message: Could not open picture.jpg because your computer does not provide the required AVX and AVX2 instruction sets What can i do to fix this? Thanks!

I just want to ask the window frame so that I can adjust the color.In the image, you see I have been able to mask out the entire window, but that doesn't do what I wanted to do. How would I get like the white box back into the mask? Also, you used to be able to invert mats by pushing comman+shift+I they're also used to be an option when you're masking that said inverse none of those things work anymore. If anyone can tell me how to in a mask as well that would be helpful too.

Could someone explain ( or post a link) on how to create a graphic where a letter is cutout of a seamless background. I tried doing it as a clipping mask but it doesn't work. Thank you!

When trying to open a file from LR in PS I get an error message saying that there are interoperability errors between LR and PS and that I should do a re-installation of PS.  I'm not sure quite how to do this efficiently.  Adobe Creative Cloud doesn't have a "re-install" option that I can find.  Is it that I need to delete PS and then re-install it?  Or is there a way to re-install and preserve all of my preferences? TIA for all responses.

I've used the same FM workflow for years but for some reason when using the apply image function it's not working as it should. Instead of seeing a mono texture there is just a flat grey. If you look at the levels there are none just a single mid grey. When I change the blend mode on the texture layer to Linear Light it remains a flat mid grey in the main edit screen not the usual view.. I have attached some screen grabs. So in Apply Image  the lower colour layer is selected, colour space RGB, blending subtract, scale 2, offset 128.  Could this be a bug or borken preferences or has the Apply Image function changed? Photoshop 26.4.0, Mac OS 15.3.2,  Intel 8 Core i9, Radeon 5500M 4Gb

Salve a tuttisono appena entrato nella community. Ho istallato da poco Photoshop 2025 e  ho un problemaQuando provo ad allargare una foto con l'opzione !SCALA IN BASE AL CONTENUTO"  la foto non scala ma si ingrandesci su tutti l lati cme se si usasse "TRASFORMAZIONE LIBERA".. In effetti ho notato che questa opzione è spuntata e rimane sempre attiva  non sono riuscito a disattivarla., Non so se il problema dipenda da questo. Crrdo di aver seguito il procedimento giusto per scalare la toto. Ho caricato la foto, ho rasterizzato il livello,. sono andato su modifica, ho selezionato  "scala in base al contenuto che risultava attivo poi quando ho provaro a scala l'immagine invece di scalare si ingrandisce.Potete aiutarmi?Grazie

In meinen M4 Mac Mini mit 250KG sind, 130GB Festplannespeicher noch frei. Wenn ich Photoshop öffne ist noch alles ok. Wenn ich eine Bilddatei öffne, dann wird plötzlich mehr als 130GB an Speicher auf der Festplatte reserviert und es wird angezeigt das die Arbeitsvolumes voll sind. Wie kann ich diesen Fehler beseitigen?

When I select a text layer, select the text tool and click on the text, it does not allow me to edit that text. Instead it creates a new text layer. ??????

I'm working on a sticker design, I sketched it by hand and uploaded to my photoshop app. Once I am nearly finished I noticed that the posportions are off.in other apps I'm able to that part and enlarge it. How do I do that here without creating it all over (which I don't have enough time to do ) if try to select it using the margins whatever its called I can get it exactly the right proportion but once I try and move it it created a blank place and doesn't more the image selected just the area and the lines are all messed up. Help!

I see about 30 GB in my cache and want to free up some space on my C drive. I've already switched my Cashe storage to an external drive in Photoshop. But when I try to purge the cache, the option is grey. I only have the option to purge video. I can't find an answer to why this is greyed out here or anywhere else on line. I am using Photoshop 2025 on a Windows 10 PCThank you

Since I updated to the last version of Photoshop, I'm having an issue if I use the text tool to add text to the PSD file. If I use any type of font, whatever is a windows font or an Adobe font, its the same. I tried all the troubleshooting that Adobe has to offer me in the website, but any clue of what's happening. When you apply zoom, the stroke becomes intermittent or absent in the moment, and then reappears after a while as if nothing had happened. But when you use zoom again, the effect repeats. This is very critical for me, as I often use zooming and it affects my productivity.  

Hello,I am having problems saving a file on photoshop 2024.A week ago I started a project on photoshop, and this past days I been trying to open the file and was just not working it would open a option do solve it but when I clicked "solve it" it would take me to photoshop 2025.Today I managed to open the file and edit some stuff, but now it does not let me save it, it just goes to photoshop 2025 went I click solve it.How do I save the file on photoshop 2024.I hope I can get some guidance, thank you.

When I select an area and use generative fill, photoshop creates a new layer with a mask, but the problem is photoshop expanding my selection on  this mask, so photoshop filling some areas which I didnt select, how can I prevent photoshop to expand my selection? Anti-aliasing off, reduced mask width but nothing changed.

Hi. At about a week long I cant save files with smart objects and smart effects. Saving always freezing at 99% and force quit is needed. After Im not able to start PS and I need to restart mac. All the changes I made are lost of course. Is it a bug or is there any solution? Thx

I'm making a script in which in the middle of it I need to apply a mask on the current selection, I'm not sure if I'm not knowing how to search for it but I just couldn't find an answer, so I thought I should ask it here. Is it possible to create a function that pretty much does the same as if I had an active selection and I applied a mask to it, using the button on the picture. Or to be more precise the Photoshop Keyboard Shortcuts on the Layer Mask Section calls it "Reveal Selection". So basically this: So basically as in the images a function that would mask the selected area.
