Photoshop

I'm not sure if this is normal behavior but I have a png with transparency. It's meant to be use as a texture for a 3D asset so both the transparency and it's exact placement on the canvas is very important. I've been using the file>export>export as to generate my pngs but am finding that the resulting png changes the location of the pixel information on the canvas. Everything shifts towards to middle. How/where can I manage this 'feature'?

Hi community,  yesterday photoshop just stopped removing backgrounds. When I click on "remove background" it just puts an empty white mask on the layer. This happens with all pictures, not a matter of contrast or colors. I tried a lot of different pictures. It also does not detect any subjects anymore, when I want so select a subject, it just selects the whole picture.  I have reinstalled photoshop several times, with several versions, it happens to all of them. Currently working with photoshop 26.2.0. You can see on the picture what happens after I clicked on "remove background". Empty white mask.   Everything worked perfectly until yesterday evening. Can you help me with this? 

Hello,I actively use several Adobe apps (Windows 11) like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PremierePro…I also use custom settings, keyboard shortcuts, workspaces, presets, brushes, colors etc. in every one of them. My problem comes with (auto)update when I lose all this stuff, which is… I believe there must be an easy way how to keep or transfer all the important custom stuff from old versions to new ones but I have not find a way how to do it so far. Can someone tell me how to do this? Thanks!

A stupid question: how to deselect a guide after moving it? Generally speaking, is it possible to have the same behavior of guides as with older versions of Photoshop? In older versions, when a guide was created or moved, it was not "selected" - that is, it did not react to keyboard events for example.

When I open PS after about 30 seconds a black empty pop up window appears and freezes the program. This has happened out of nowhere. I have reinstalled, cleaned the registry, my documents etc. It still persist. Is this familiar to anyone here?Photoshop 2022.

Hello again,Another bug I am dealing with, even just selecting a part of an image to delete/genreate to enhance is an impossible task now. In this case, I just want to select and change the sky in the image.See screens below. What the heck are those rectangles in my flat serface??And why is it deleting like this?? Even when I open the screenshots I just took for this post it turns it in to blahhh, what are thos line??HELPPPPP I need to finish this jop for print ASAP

Hallo,ich habe ein Problem mit Photoshop (Windows 24h2, PS 26.2 - 24h2 völlig neu aufgesetzt).Nachdem ich einen neuen Drucker in mein System aufgenommen habe (Epson ET-8550) kann ich keine ALTEN TIFF mehr drucken. Mit alt meine ich Fotos, die in Photoshop bearbeitet wurden und als Tiff-Datei gespeichert wurden.  Das Foto wurde mit Silver Efex bearbeitet) Wenn ich die Ursprungsdatei (.cr2) neu in Photoshop bearbeite und als Tiff speichere funktioniert es. Das alte Tiff kann vie LR gedruckt werden.Rufe ich ich in Photoshop den Drucken Dialog auf (egal über "ctrl p" oder über das Menu) stürzt PS ab, heißt es schließt sofort, ohne Meldung. Das Foto wurde mit Silver Efex bearbeitet. c:\{Users}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2025\Logs\UXPLogs*.logfinde ich diesen Error Eintrag, der etlich male hintereinander auftaucht.Keine Ahnung ob der was wit dem Absturz zu hat, jedenfalls sonst kann ich keine anderen schweren Fehler entdecken.[2025-01-28_11-34-25][14600][Error] [general]

After a recent update my indesign has been running EXTREMELY slow when it comes to pulling documents off the cloud... and now photoshop is too... I have uninstalled photoshop, indesign and the creative cloud and it continues to be an issue... Never had this issue before... Keeps freezing on performing cloud documents task when trying to open a cloud document in photoshop... Any ideas as to why this is happening would be helpful 

I'm writing a UXP plugin for Photoshop and I'm trying to find the best way to save user preferences and allow them to create presets for the plugin via the available API.  If I was writing a "normal" application the data would be saved to a local database or flat file...but I don't see anything exposed in the API to allow for this.   Honestly, the documentation on this API set is HORRIBLY confusing and incomplete:  some stuff is supported, other stuff isn't...but there's a workaround, and everything else I have no freaking clue and it's a matter of trying different stuff until I get it working.  Some interfaces are documented that they exist, but not what the property/accessor is actually called in the API.  I mean, writing these plugins shouldn't be this much guesswork. <rantConcluded/> I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with this plugin but I'm still not sure how to give users the ability to save their preferences

I'm trying to write an applescript to automate my frequency separation setup. How do I get applescript to run the Image>Apply Image menu item, and then enter the correct parameters?

Estou tentando fazer uma edição de pele no photoshop, mas quando tento clicar enquanto pressiono o Alt para mudar a cor do pincel de mistura o conta gotas arrasta aleatoriamente para uma área da foto que eu não selecionei. I had my old laptop stolen, and while I had most of the files backed up on a harddrive, I would love to recover my accidentally-not-backed-up portfolio as lots of hours were spent putting this together 😞 I have downloaded the Adobe apps I use on this new laptop. Fresco and Lightroom files were auto saved, so I could re-download them on this laptop. However, I have opened InDesign and there are not any files that I had previously had on my old laptop. My portfolio was made using InDesign, and I would be so happy to get it back, if at all possible.  If anyone could help or make a suggestion I would be most appreciative,Madison 🙂

Usually, 95% of the time, a pasted item is identically positioned (but on a new layer)but SOMETIMES the paste is offset and out of place. I can't work out why it does this, I literally don't do anything differently, but sometimes it pastes in a different position and I have to nudge it back up.Does anyone know why?

Hi All, I'm working on a project where I need to place a frame inside each of the 20 white boxes in my Photoshop file and create an action to fill each frame with a photo. The photos will be copied and pasted directly into Photoshop and won’t be saved as separate files beforehand. I'm looking to automate placing each photo into a frame and resizing it to fit as closely as possible.The challenge I’m facing is image resizing. Since all the photos will have different dimensions, I can’t just use free transform manually for each image.My Questions:Is there a way for a photo to automatically resize to fit the frame when added to it?Alternatively, is there a way to resize an image to a specific width or height (e.g., 250 pixels) while keeping the aspect ratio intact—without changing the canvas size? I’ve tried using the "Image Size" option in the Edit menu, but it resizes the entire canvas, which isn’t what I want. I’d appreciate any tips or workflows that can help stream

Hi. If I take a raw file from bridge into camera raw and then apply a super resolution in the detail panel, and then click open (in photoshop) Photoshop opens but nothing happens...the image does not open. Photoshop just hangs. Anybody find this? Solutions? Thanks in advance.Unenhanced raw files open fine.

Hallo, Seit ein paar Wochen ist der Stempel in Photoshop und auch der Pinsel in Lightroom Classic so eingestellt, dass er nicht mehr alles was in dem Kreis ist bis an den Rand kopiert, sondern immer einen ca. 20%igen Rand lässt. Er ist auf 100% Härte und ich hab Photoshop auch aktualisiert, neu installiert, aber immernoch das Problem. Könnte mir hier jemand weiterhelfen? 

Gradients with a mask are moving when I crop the image. Not the mask, just the gradient. Any suggestions? I can rasterize the gradient but would rather not if I want to make changes later.Thanks

Help I inadvertently bought the wrong subscription that doesn't include Photoshop! I bought a one-year subscription for “Adobe Photoshop Lightroom” from Best Buy online, assuming that it includes both Photoshop and Lightroom, but when I redeemed the code, I saw that it only includes Lightroom! I realize now that what I need is the Photography Plan because I need BOTH Photoshop and Lightroom. I feel that the product name and image were both very misleading/deceptive because they both include the word “Photoshop” in it. Adobe Support says to contact Best Buy for a refund but Best Buy refuses to give an exchange, refund or store credit and says I should contact Adobe Support. How can I change or upgrade my subscription to what I actually need?? I actually bought several of these subscriptions, so I’m out a lot of money if I can’t get these changed to the plan that I actually need.

I am using Adobe PS 2025 and LR catalog 13.4. When I create a composite with a digital backdrop (psd file) and the picture imported as psd or nef the new composite looks like the colors of the imported picture changed, the image is dull and low quality( see attcahed) Both the backdrop and the picture are in color mode RGB8.   I have very limited experience with PS, and as you can read I do not have the right terminology.  Please advise, thank you. 

Hello everyone, first of all, I apologize for any mistakes in my English, it's not my first language. I need to ask a question. I'm used to using Actions to automate some tasks, but I need Actions or a script that would make it easier to automate certain processes. Starting with a main photo, I need to save two files with two different names:One file with the naming ending in _UN_1 And another file, which is a crop of the original file, with the naming ending in _UN_3. Is that possible?

This has occurred without any changes to my OS or Photoshop. Afterward, I tried everything from reinstalling the app to searching for the nonexistent GPU folder that was supposed to be in the camera raw folder in Photoshop. I had the 26.2 version of Photoshop and Mac OS Sequoia version 15.2 running on my Macbook Pro M2.I have deadlines I have to meet and I cannot open a single raw photo. Please help..

I found a reproducible bug in Photoshop when exporting a file.(I apologize if there are any discrepancies in wording as I am using the Japanese version) Version of the app: Photoshop 26.2.0 (and 25.x)Platform and OS version: Windows 10 Pro (22H2)Basic steps to reproduce the problem　Preferences > Workspace > With Open Documents in Tabs turned off,　Select Save a copy and select the file format in which the Save Options exists.　(Save Options dialog may appear for only first opened file after launching Photoshop)　Example: TIFF, TGA, etc.Expected result and actual result　Save Options dialog should appear, but it does not and the file is saved as is.　Example: Dialog box for compression format, file bit depth, etc.
