Photoshop

In the past, I could open an image into PS from Lightroom Classic and immediately use a keyboard shortcut without clicking something on the PS interface.  Since doing an update, I now have to physically click on something within the interface before I can use a keyboard shortcut.  Is there a setting that I can simply adjust to get PS to accept a keyboard shortcut without having to click onto the PS interface first?  If this is unclear...An example would be...I sent an image from Lightroom Classic into Photoshop...PS is now automatically visible on my screen...I immediately see that I want to start using a different tooI than was last selected and want to change the tool to be the brush tool, for example, so I would like to simply do a command + B to change to the brush tool, but I get sound telling be that I did something wrong so if I physically click on the brush tool or anything else in the workspace, I can now start using keyboard short cuts. Is there a setting

Hey, so I've recently come back to photoshop to try some art on it and whenever I try to draw, my brush strokes almost like skip and freeze? It only happens when I'm using my drawing tablet (Huion Kamvas 22) and not when I use my mouse. I've installed all the drivers, updates and software, but the issue persists. I've tried to draw on Clip Studio Paint and everything works fine, so I'm convinced its a photoshop issue. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop and adobe aswell as getting rid of my preferences, but it doesn't fix it either. They are not in Photoshop, Files or CC. Where are they kept? 2022 iPad ProLatest version iPad OSLatest version of iPad Photoshop 

Hey Guys, I'm having issues enabling my legacy extensions panel on my Macbook Pro M1. It currently greyed even after I enabled all the legacy extension settings in my preferences and running photoshop in Rosetta.Is anyone else encountering the same issue as me? or do you know a workaround for the time being?

I have gotten the error 205 for only Photoshop, no other apps. I have tried all the solutions listed on the support pages, and looked through community pages and tried these fixes. I have logged out of CC and done reinstalls for Photoshop too. I have done command prompts and other things too for it. My credentials work fine. Creative Cloud is up to date, too. Is there anyone who can help? I can't just make new windows account either, unfortunately. The screenshot looks clear or like it is first time use, due to me clearing app data as some others suggested.

Hi. I have installed 3 versions of the Photoshop: 2024 with AI, 2023 and 2022. I can open any of them but I can't open any file/image. There is everything ok with the compatibility. I can't open any PSD file because nothing happen. After opening the program without choosing anything I can click on the new project, A4 for example and then the program closes itself. When I drag an image from a folder to the program with the program open, the program closes. I have this problem from yesterday.

When I draw a circle, then choose "subtract front shape" the layer fills with color before I can draw another shape. I tried putting the shapes on two different layers and the same thing happens. I'm trying to cut out a circle from another circle.

  Been working on a painting in photoshop and accidently hit some key bind. Every single layer became far more desaturated and darker. Had this issue months ago but cant remember what the bind is to switch everything back to what it was. I have lost several hours of work due to this. Hi, If possible, I'm looking for a script to update smart object layers with other image files through a batch process. I work with a file template that has a certain layout that I like in terms of where and how the layers are placed. Whenever I work on a new project, I need to replace the placed images with new images from the new project. I'm looking for a way to streamline my process by automating this. I have next to no knowledge in creating scripts. I only have basic knowledge in putting them to use, so any suggestions would be really helpful. Typically I work with files that have between 12 and 20 smart object layers that I need to be able to replace or place a different image file within them. I'm not fussed if the image files are placed via embedding or linking. Ideally I want to be able to start the script, choose a folder from where to pull the image files and fill the 12 to 20 smart object layers individually with the 12 to 20 image files from the chosen folder.&nb

I have just noticed in Photoshop 23.5.0 (mac OS 10.15.7) that the Triangle tool corner radius is not scaling correctly when using Export As. Rectangle tool appears to stay correct. Screenshot attached with Stroke at 20px, Radius at 40px, centre aligned. Both triangles at 0 and 90 deg rotation show increase in radius in Export As preview when scaled here to 52%. This is the same in the final file.

I often have two adjustment layers that I'd like to compare, in order to select the best one (and delete the other). I can of course turn one off by clicking the eyeball icon in the layers palette, then turning the other on by clicking its eyeball icon. But that makes it impossible to see a quick A/B comparison. Is there a trick to instantly switch visibility back and forth between the two layers? Thanks for any help!

With the increased use of AI in Photoshp, Lightroom Classic & Topaz Photo AI, my againg 2017 iMac 27 is showing its age. Currently I am looking at the Mac Studio M2 & the BenQ SW272Q as replacements. The Mac Studio can be quite expensive with the memory & storage that I would like. But I can keep the price within reason with the use of external SSD drives. As for the BenQ display.... although it only has 2K resolution, my primary consideration is color accuracy. If I understand correctly, The BenQ SW227Q shares the same features as its 4K big brother (the SW272U), but minus the heftier price tag. I would appreciate the thoughts of those who have had experience with either the Mac Studio M2 or the BenQ SW272Q display in your photo processing work. I can't figure out how to change my Photoshop from Korean to English. I've tried going to interface and UI language but the only option there is Korean for some reason. I've tried changing my Macbook's language, uninstalling, installing, force quitting, I have no idea why it won't let me. Please help!

Hello, When I save my image as a jpeg or tiff,the colors change... they appear desaturated.... I'm using a Macbook Pro and photoshop 2025. I've already checked the color settings, and they re set to sRGB. I tried opening the image with Adobe Acrobat and the colors are indeed consistent with what I see in Photoshop. However, when I upload the image to Google Drive, the colors appear desaturated. Could you advise on how to configure the settings to ensure the colors of the images uploaded to Google Drive accurately reflect those in Photoshop? Thank you in advance for your assistance

My PC uses 100% resources of CPU and crashes... directly it turns off!!Am I the only with this problem?

Not sure if others are seeing this. Image Processor is broken in PS 2025. It opens from the File / Scripts menu however when you run it, it freezes on the first image.  Anyone else seeing this? 

I was working on a picture and I wanted to use the generative fill to add a sunset on a ranch and I keep getting errors.  Even as simple as adding balloons they are so ugly. please anyone please help.

After launching PS a few minutes into editing my taskbar freezes. I cannot access " File, edit, layers, filters, image, type " etc. however the window i am working in operates as normal i am able to access the tool bar, and adjust layers etc. in order to save my work I have to hit the " x" and photoshop default alerts me to save my work which I can use to export my image. The only way i've found to fix it is to completely shut down PS and relaunch it but again after a few minutes of working it begins again.  Adobe 2025 Macbook pro operating system Sequoia 15.1all Apps and computer software are uptodate.

I don't know why, but for some reason I can't post an image into a layer mask. I alt clicked it, it's editable, but pasting doesn't have any effect.   

Hello, this is my first post so bear with me. I've searched for anyone else with a similar problem to what I'm experiencing but haven't been able to find anything. I am unable to move layers once placing them on the document. I have been experiencing this issue for a few days now. A previous discussion post talked about using Ctrl+T to move the layers, which does work (I greatly prefer using my mouse), and also provided the solution of unchecking "Show Transform Tools" but that did not solve the issue. I now cannot rearrange the layer orders in my Layer panel. I can now only rearrange the order by going to the toolbar to Layer > Arrange > Bring forward (etc.). I tried restarting photoshop, my computer (Razer 15 running Windows 10), and using a previous version of photoshop, yet nothing has worked. I have also reset all tools to the default settings.  If anyone has a solution, I would be immensly grateful. I can provide further information as well if needed.

I need to export an artboard to pdf but when I choose file/export/artboards to pdf is greyed out. (mac)I am a complete novice so any help would be appreciated!
