Hi,This 'target symbol' appeared more or less out of nowhere. I think it may have happened after using the eyedropper tool. There is a little 1 in the bottom right corner as well. I can only see it when the layer is active.What is it and how can I get rid of it?Thanks

As described in the title, Photoshop's "recently used fonts" list has been completely broken for me for a while. This has occurred on multiple photoshop versions (currently on 26.0.0) across multiple reinstalls, I've already tried "reset preferences", no luck. Here's a detailed description of the problem:  I have no idea what could be causing the problem. It's most definitely not one of my fonts that's causing the issue. Having to deal with many fonts everyday, this bug has been driving me mad now. Any help resolving the issue would be greatly appreciated.

Why wont photo shop download on mac update sequoia 15.2?

I am running macOS Sequoia 15.2 on a Nov 2024 MacBook Pro (M4 chip).I have updated Photohop 2025 to v26.1.When I click the "Photoshop" tab on the Menu Bar the "About Photoshop..." line is grayed out.Is this a bug? Or is there some obscure setting that I am missing?Would appreciate any suggestions.Thanks in advance,Stan

This update is insanely confusing.I do not know where to find the old selection tool - that when you touched an objectit was surrounded by selection "dashes."I think I may have inadvertantly lost it somewhere.  What I have now is a "quick" selection toolthat does not make visible dashes around it when the object is touched by this tool.  So they can'tbe feathered.There is also an object selection tool that won't select the object I want on the layer that I amtrying to select.  It decides what the object is.Why in God's name did I upgrade?Any clear easy to read and follow comments will be most welcome.This is not the only problem.I think they created a "smart" photoshop, rather than one that is usable by humans.

I am using the default keyboard shortcuts (have not changed/updated what came with Ps)Thanks in advance

So I recently purchased a license for Photoshop, since I use it quite frequently. It says on the Adobe website that my OS isn't compatible, which is [removed], since it is very much compatible. It says it can be used with Windows 10, and yet Adobe tells me I need an OS update. I was able to finally install Photoshop via Creative Cloud desktop, and it runs just fine. Is there an error in the Adobe website, or is something else the issue entirely? Because I don't have any idea why Adobe would tell me my OS isnt compatible when it appears to run just fine without any issues.

Hello all!I own a Photoshop plugin that only works if Photoshop is opened in Rosetta mode. I already checked the box in the "Get info" menu to open Photoshop in Rosetta mode and it works great. However, most of the time I start my workflow in Lightroom, and then choose to "Edit in Photoshop" for the final touches. But when I do that, Photoshop doesn't open in Rosetta mode, and therefore I can't use my plugin. Is there any way Photoshop would open in Rosetta mode when started through Lightroom?Cheers!

Photoshop 2023, 24.1 Windows 11 Pro x64AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12 - Core 3.7Mhz32GB of DDR4 RAM 2133 MHzSamsung 970 Evo M.2 1TB install locationGPU: Invidia 1080ti latest driver: 527.56 Photoshop has updated and I've run into an issue when editing my .TIFF, .CR3, .PNG and .JPG. When my file loads in photoshop takes it's sweet time to load. I see the status circle on my screen but it's not moving. It can take up to 30 seconds at times. Once it is loaded all my menus flicker when I open them up. It's acting as if it's a graphics issue. This makes it hard adjusting levels, curves or anything precisely. I do astrophotography and have a program called PixInsight which is used to edit the RAW .FIT images and that program is running perfect after the latest GPU update. So I don't think it's a GPU problem but more a Photoshop. This is the first time I've edited on the new version of Photoshop and ran into this issue.  I uninstalled/reinstalled photoshop, issue remainsUnchecked us

I have a question that no one seems to give me an answer for. Say I purchased an Action and put it on my desktop. The next step is to go into PS and load the action. When I load the action, does it automatically put it in PS files or does PS still point to the desktop to use? Or if I then delete the action off of desktop does the loaded action still work or because I deleted the action from the desktop, is it deleted forever? I hope I explained that correctly

I can't believe I am asking this question.  I have worked with PS since the 1990's.......I just opened up the latest version of PHotoshop (2025 I think ).....and I have a weird rookie problem.  I have Windows 11......just downloaded the latest PS.  I have never wanted my images Docking in the workspace, so I turn it off in Preferences.....Since, I have done that...now when I open a image it is appears in the workspace not docked to the top.  HOWEVER!.....when I open another image it is docked to the first image.....how in the world do I stop that??  What is it called in Preferences so I can stop it?  Believe me I found a lot of help for "how to open multiple images".....nothing about the images docking themselves in the document.  Anyway, I can't use PS as it is now....or someone has to explain to me (or send a link) how to layer and blend multiple images.  I must have been doing it wrong after all these years. Thank you so much...this

I've downloaded the Photoshop app but when I try to set it up it doesn't work for me? 

I keep running into the following error trying to apply the Displace filter via a script as part of a larger scripted workflow.  "Error processing mockup u1787985226_A_BellaCanvas_3001_t-shirt_hanging_on_a_hanger._Beh_92da5d11-2f44-46e4-bda7-e206af536b6a.psd: Failed to apply Displace filter: General Photoshop error occurred. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop.- The command “<unknown>” is not currently available." Does anyone know where I can find documentation or direction on how to do this? I'm using Photoshop 2025 on a Mac, and I know the function is there because it's available in the dropdown Filters menu, and I've successfully applied it manually. But I'd like to apply it with a script to make bulk editing easier. I've attached my entire script if anyone can review and comment.

With the application frame visible, when reducing the window size of the application, the UI elements overlap. Tried restaring computer and program, and the bug persists.  Photoshop Version: 26.1.0Computer: MacBook Pro - 16" Nov. 2023OS: macOS Sequoia v15.2 

My toolbar only take half the height of my screen, even though I have more tools added than what is visible.  Is there a way to extend the size of the visible toolbar towards the bottom of the screen? 

I'm still a beginner and I don't know if this is the right place to ask.I wonder if there is an option/a function like Essential Graphics (or expressions) from After Effects in Photoshop. It would be nice to define some drop down menus to edit some texts, images and colors at once. Is that somehow possible in Photoshop?

Hey everyone, I need some help,I have a very old photo of my Grandpa, Mom and Grandmother, I have tried everything i could to restore this photo (Honestly dont know what i am doing, nor do i know how to restore a photo). I was wondering if someone here could PLEASE, PLEASE (I am begging here)help me with this photo.. I want to restore the photo and give it to my mother, for a birthday present. this is seriously the last photo she has of her Dad and it would make her day. Her mom (my grandma) passed away in 2006. all photos of my mothers dad (my grandpa) are gone, and my mother only has this photo.and my mother, has been wanting someone to restore the photo for a very long time. if someone here could please help me! i would truly from the bottom of my heart, truly would appericate it..

Hello everyone, and a Happy New Year 🙂I am experiencing a serious issue in Photoshop (latest update but have had it for years) - whenever I work on a raw image from my Sony A7 IV and I start using the Removal Tool to clean up, every single click takes considerable amount of time .. I am literally standing and staring at my monitor for like 5+ seconds unable to do anything and imagine how on every image I use remove tool 100+ times. What could be the possible reasons and solutions for this? I've turned over the Internet and can't find anything useful that I haven't already done.. FYI, I always edit my photos first in Lighroom (where performance is kinda okay, some lag here in there after the 10th Mask and remove click which I expect to be very normal) and then I right click - edit in PS.And that's where it goes downhill. I've also tried closing Lightroom - no impact at all. Is it simply a CPU problem and should I upgrade it to a 14900K or 7900X? Is

Hi commuity! I've been trying to edit metadata on my TIF-file through "File info" in photoshop, but when I click on it I get the error message "Could not complete the File Info command because the Metadata library could not be loaded.". I've been trying multiple images and I get the same message for all of them. I have Photoshop 2024 and MacOS Big Sur.  Please let me know if you need more info.  Thanks xx

In edit -> keyboard shortcut -> tools -> previous brush (,) & next brush (.) when deleted they wont stay disabled and still switch brushes. any insights to why this is? i want "," and "." To be disabled. To be clear
