Photoshop

I frequently copy shapes (e.g., rectangles and circles) from one group of layers to another group. Previously, I've have always used the Comd-C and Comd-V shortcuts, but since updating to Photoshop 2025, I've had nothing but problems. (Note: I do not have problems if I am copying shapes within the same layer.) My process has always been:Select the shape I want to copy and hit Comd-CScroll to the layer group I want to copy to and click on the lowest layer in that groupHit Comd-V to paste a copy of the shape in that groupIn the past, the new shape would appear in the center of the screen and be listed above the layer I had clicked on within the layer list. This is what I want to happen. If I do this today, no change appears on the screen and the layer list indicates some type of secondary group has been made with the layer I had clicked on. It took me a while to realize that a copy of the shape had been made above the one I had copied, and it is now tied to the layer in the sec

I recently noticed I can apply Auto Tone to Smart Objects, but I don't see any way to edit or retract the effect after it's applied. This seems odd for an otherwise non-destructively editable smart object. I feel like I'm missing something. Thanks for any helpful info!

Liquify is not working properly on the latest version. Also after i went back to previous version.Liquify is enabled and even open the box where you can choose all  the parameters but when i choose warp and start moving things they don"t move or change at all/ Nothing happens.My computer meets all the requirements in order to work properly.It"s really frustrating.Please help.Thank you!

Hey, I'm having issues with Photoshop 2025 crashing as soon as I open it. It get freeze and when i try to quite, its not even closing, I'm using "11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11900K" 40 GB Installed ram, Intel(R) UHD Graphics 750,  AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT" I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps, restarting my computer, and opening.  

  I would like to know where I can download Photoshop CS6 since I had to reset the computer and I have my license number to have the program again.

Will Adobe Lightroom Classic V. 14.1.1, Adobe Photoshop 26.2.0, and Adobe Photoshop 26.3.0 be fully compatible with macOS Sequoia 15.2?  I'm always leery of updating to the next macOS for fear that something won't work.

Mac Mini M4 Pro. Photoshop 2050 (latest). Photoshop freezes on start-up. Only "Shift" allowes to start. Deleted previous version's including all Adobe programs. Re-installed all. Deleated and re-installed Affinity, DXO, Nik, On1 programs. Reset preferences etc. Followed every suggestion I could find on Adobe site, forums and on-line, no luck.

Hello,I have been using colour dynamics (pen pressure) for a while and slowly I have seen that the brightness jitter (and maybe the other jitter scales) has become more extreme despite no change in settings. I have set every jitter to 0% but I still see extreme variation.  In the above photo, the left stroke is the colour I see when I do a light stroke, and the right stroke is heavy.The problem this poses for me is that the start and end of strokes are often very white as I place and lift the pen. Is this how its suppose to work? Is it a problem with the pen? Any way to fix to more finely customise the colour range?Thanks in advance for any adivce.

Hello, I have a problem with my new mac mini computer, pple Apple M4 10jádrová GPU, RAM 16GB, SSD 256 GB, Wi-Fi, HDMI, macOS camera raw freezes for a while and then turns itself off.

What once seemed to work for me now isn't.... (working in Photoshop 24.0.1, MacOS 11.4)We know that simply merging layers which contain blend modes does't work well as the layer(s) with a blend mode turn to normal layers. What used to seem to work well (command + option + shift + E to create a "snapshot" layer of all visible, now doesn't seem to be working either. What I'm doing is silhouetting out subjects, retouching out the bounceback color casts on a layer in color or hue mode, and then replacing the background. I'm handing some images off to another designer, so best to have the object on a single layer w/a transparent background. My method used to work great! Now it's not. Alternate suggestions?TIA

I am trying to make a display board. On photoshop and I was usin the text action to type in the above. When I type it in and deselect the text bubble after finishing the word Keychain: was duplicated multiple times all down the page and i am not able to remove it. I'm not even able to merge down on a regular page and erase it with the eraser tool.

Talkes to Adobe support the other day. Reset all preferences. Worked for like a day. Now about every 10 minutes I have to restart Photoshop if I want to open any CR2 file from Bridge.This also happens sometimes when using Export > Save for Web.SUPER OBNOXIOUS.Started happing like a month ago.Windows 11. All programs up to date.Help?

Not seeing this reported anywhere else so maybe a one off problem. Not that I go in to Photoshop Preferences often (referred to as Settings now in Ventura) but they are completely MISSING now, screenshot attached. Would like to confirm with other M1 Macs running Ventura and Photoshop 2023 that they do or don't have this issue. I can't say when it started, I just noticed today when going in to settings on version 24.0.0 that they were missing, restarting the app, restarting the Mac did not bring them back. I ran the update to version 24.0.1 of Photoshop and problem still there. Thanks 

HI, I tried to search this topic but I couldn't find the one I'm looking for.So I have thousand of pictures with different sizes1024x6833456x5184550x550    (aspect ratio 1:1)So the sizes are all over the place.I would like to make all of the pictures to aspect 1:1 by adding white background.By adjusting each picture to it's biggest height OR width and NOT cropping or changing the size of the actual picture.So basically like this:1024x683        ------>>  1024x1024  (adjusted to the height)3456x5184      ------>>  5184x5184  (adjusted to the width)550x550  ------>>  Not changed  (aspect ratio 1:1)And the pictures should be in center of the added white background.So basically just adding white backgrounds to the picture.And doing that in Batch for thousand of pictures.Could someone please teach me how I would do this?Thank you.Robert    EDIT: I fo

Hi. I create heavy PSB files for my work - see in the title.Regarding 'archiving' my works, I wonder if compressing my files to ZIP can be a fine and very safe option?I'm on Mac and using the default compression/zip tool.After done a test PSB to ZIP: decompression, properties and loading to Ps were fine. Why does creating a new frame in "frame animation" not create an associated layer or group? (give you the option to select one, and set say opacity)Why cant I drag and drop layers or groups onto new frames to set the frame?Why cant I drag a new layer on to the timeline to create a new frame?Why cant I toggle between frame using the arrow keys?Why cant i delete the entire timeline and remove the frame animation from a menu ON THE TIMELINE?Why when i create a frame animation the default frame time is 5 seconds? That will very rarely be needed.Why when i create or swap from frame animation to video timeline, do all my frames STACK ON TOP OF EACHOTHER?Why do i have to key a layer to a frame by toggling visibility? Most importantly, why did you, Adobe, add a timeline and animation system to Photoshop, and then make it complete and total unintuitive [removed]? If i am being DEAD honest, your timeline feature complete garbage. Fix it. Make it usable. Make it reasonable. MAKE IT INTUITIVE.

I have many recorded actions that paste an alpha channel from one image into a new quickmask of another bitmap to create a transparent image.  I have used this method for over 20 years wtih photoshop and now it will no longer record pasting into a mask on the newly created mask layer, but instead it pastes into a new layer which is useless to me.  This feature for me is a must have and the fact that it no longer works the way it has for at least 24 years is really disappointing.  I'm going to assume this function was accidentally broken, so I need to know how to roll it back to whatever version it did work in.  Currently I am using the Photoshop Beta.  It does not work in 2024 either.  

I just updated to Seqioua 15.1.1 and now Photoshop 25 places grayed-out checkered bars across areas of the file at random times:The bars are permanent and the layer is damaged. There's no going back. Quit and restart, and it's still there. The file is ruined.  I cannot reproduce the problem, so I have no idea what's causing it. Does anybody have any idea why this is happening?

Brush-Eraser Toggling Issue: I had previously reported that in the last version when the Brush tool is used, it will not toggle with the Eraser Tool when E is held down while erasing - it sticks on the Eraser. You have to click the B shortcut key to get back to painting. It has not been fixed and I use this shortcut all the time. It still works properly in the Beta Version. I do not believe it is my computer my computer issue as it is still working properly in the Beta version 26.3.
