Hi all, I am desperately reporting a very inconvenient brush size-saving feature in Photoshop and begging for a fix.I originally started using Photoshop, but I continually feel stressed because of the lack of a brush size memory feature. I’ve used Clip Studio Paint, which has a feature that remembers each brush's size individually. However, I want to continue using Photoshop because I love this program. Here’s a feature that I believe Photoshop must add:I want each brush to retain the last size I used for it separately (meaning, I want each brush to remember its own last-used size, instead of sharing the same size across all brushes).For example, as you all know, when I use Brush A with a default size of 5 and change its size to 20, then switch to Brush B and return to Brush A, the brush is no longer at size 20. Save an image using save for web option does not save the file to the same location as opened file with save as to original folder and legacy save options ticked in file handling.

The program shut down without any warning. No issue in events log. I am have window 10 installed. Knut

I realize that Photoshop CS6 is a very old product, but I would like to continue to use it.  It is an excellent product.  Currently, I have one computer using CS6, with proper activation, and I do not need or want to change that first installation.  I attempted to install CS6 on a new machine yesterday (14 Feb 2026), but the installation failed due to the fact that I still had a second, older computer activated for CS6.  I deactivated that instance on the second computer.  The deactivation panel indicated that Adobe has perceived that I have deactivated the old computer’s instance of CS6.  I have uninstalled the CS6 software on that second computer. I want to install the CS6 software onto a new computer.  But I have run into all kinds of trouble when it comes to activating the software.  Here is my sequence of events:  First:  Adobe recognized the activation code I provided for CS6 on the new computer.  Adobe said that the code is valid. Second:  Adobe asks me to sign in with the QR co

My setup photoshopVersion: 26.9.0 scriptingVersion: 26.9 ExtendScriptI have some shape layers that were created with the pen tool (I think). Now, I was trying to inspect the points in the subpath items of the path item associated with this shape layer.  To access the path item associated with this shape layer, I can (apparently) do it 2 ways, but in both ways I get the problem I’ll describe below. The first way is just to select “pathItem = myActiveDoc.pathItems[0]”, which you could argue is not reliable as there can be multiple paths, but bear with me and assume I don’t have any other path and have only these shape layers. The second way is to create a temporary path item from the shape layer’s vector mask using the action manager. Anyway, after that, I iterate the “subPathItems” of “pathItem”, i.e. “subPathItem0 = pathItem.subPathItems[0]” and “subPathItem1 = pathItem.subPathItems[1]”. In my case, there are only 2 subpath items.  Now, it seems that “subPathItem0” has only 1 point, i.

Hello, I am trying to install the Scripting Listener plugin in Photoshop 2021 (mac intel OS 11.5.2). I used the 2020 plugin since it seems to be the latest version. I have installed scriptinglistener.pluging in the ../Photoshop 2021/plug-ins folder and restarted Photoshop. I can find scriptinglistener under plugins or Automate. Any help/suggestions would be very appreciated. Thank you -JPK

how can i quickly expand my image in photoshop? when i try generative fill it creates a new image! 

Hi, im having trouble flattening or merging layers as im loosing colours/effects on my artwork when trying to flatten an image before saving as jpeg. this has just started happening in the last two days. would love some help.

Imagine that you have a transform box with small squares (handles) in each corner.  Is it possible to fix the position of one of those corner squares and rotate the entire transform box around that fixed position?

I routinely need to blur things that need to appear to rotate - think propellers or fan blades.  I find it difficult to maintain the correct radius specifically with objects that may be painted as different colors leave their own colored trails in the smudge.  To have a Smudge tool that you can anchor on one end, and then move or rotate the far end that keeps the proper radius of everything between the points.  Perhaps you could even add points along the path (like illustrator) which you could also move, leaving other points in place, and smudge those moving points.

I’ve just watched this video, and had to share.  How many posts have we seen over the years from confused users who are adamant that they need 300DPI for the billboard sized print they are making?  Simon d’Entremont had done a double blind test with large prints printed at a range of resolutions, and viewed at various distances.  [Spoiler] Neither he or his friends could tell the difference even when viewed from just 12”.  I will be bookmarking this for the next time someone asks the question, or insists they need a Quadrillion pixel file for their A0 print on semigloss paper. 

I have installed Version 26.11.2 (Photoshop 2025) and Version 27.3.1 (Photoshop 2026) on my laptop running Windows 11 Home.  I am migrating to use 2026 version so that I can uninstall the 2025 version.But, when I need to use the Remove Tool in the 2026 version it popped up with errors.When the area(s) to remove was identified I clicked the “tick” to proceeded.  Below two issues were encountered:(1) After a while it displayed in orange “The service is not responding.  Please check your internet connection and try again.”  I have confirmed that the internet connection is normal. or(2) A dialog box displayed that there is program error that the job was not finished.  It provided a link to this page https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/desktop/troubleshoot/file-format-issues/resolve-program-error-while-saving-files.html?trackingid=C12Y2WS7&mv=in-product&mv2=psBut, the page does not contain a solution for the issue.I switched to the 2025 version and it could complete the removal job!Is

I created a layer mask and drew some pixels. In the past I have been able to use the blur tool on the layer mask. But on this new crappy version of photoshop I cannot. Why?Update: I re-started photoshop and the blur tool works on the layer mask now. This new version of photoshop needs to be re-started all the time. I’ve been using photoshop for 20 years and never had this problem. This is such a huge mess up. Complete and total incompetence from the Adobe corp and it’s software engineers.

Does there need to be some sort of warning pop up when you use the third party AI models. Ive just used Flux2 pro generative fill on a Prophoto RGB 8bit image and it doesn't seem to do any sort of icc profile management or conversion.I think It should tell you it can only handle sRGB or ask do you want to convert it before sending it to AI server. ( all colour settings set to preserve embedded profile, working space is Adobe RGB, image was a scanned tiff prophoto file)

Photoshop worked fine earlier today. Now, when clicking New file and then Create, the modal closes but nothing happens. No new file is created.I also tried to save an existing file. It did not save, even though the workflow to save didn’t not result in any errors.I had tried to crop an existing file. Nothing happened when I tried to crop.I can’t try any other actions, because I closed and re-opened Photoshop as a potential solution. So all files are now closed, and I cannot open any files in Photoshop.Nothing like these issues has ever happened before. All other programs are working. Adobe XD is working, Microsoft products are working, Chrome is working. My mouse and keypad are working. 

I don’t know what the thing is called. I want a floating tool pallet and whatever the strip along the top is called. I have the same issue with InDesign. When I switched to this latest version I followed the instructions for importing my preferences, but only the pallet locations and my actions transferred. Everything else reverted to the current Adobe defaults. 

Please can all Adobe apps be updated to remove the pop-up which requests to allow “app name” to find devices on local networks.  This pop-up is very confusing for end users in computer labs in education.

Printing to an Epson p5000 from Ps 27.3.1 running on MacOS 26.3. When printing directly from Ps to cut sheets, positioning adjustments in the Adobe print dialog appear correctly in the print dialog, but those for the X axis are ignored. The Y axis adjustments seem to transfer successfully. I have no idea if this is an Adobe bug or an Apple bug. I recently updated both the MacOS and Ps to the versions shown above. . 

Hi,Draw a simple black line brush size 10 but as an arc, left to right, then repeat that 20 pixels or so north and repeat again.Now try and bend the three lines downwards to get three straight lines same relationship to each other , no line must go thinner, no gap thinner.Pshop has not , as far as I can see, added any basic geometry transform tools since its launch in 4.1 days.Distort, Scale, Warp, Skew, cannot handle this simple need.I had traced a tyre tread and as the pic was at an angle got the attached, just need to un bend it as a plan of the tread. Merlin 

It's not selecting my model's whole face and it ends up creating a vertical dividing line in the final photo where the edited and unedited areas meet. Any help to get it to select the whole face? I looked for a button that would let me move the blue rectangle but I can't find one.Thanks all!
