3rd Party Generative Fill Reference Image Support Now Available in Beta!

New in Beta: Modernized Effect Controls Panel

New in After Effects Beta 26.3x34: Modernized Effect Controls Panel  After Effects has a long and storied history, and a lot of today’s UX still sits on a legacy framework. That foundation has made it harder than we’d like to fix bugs, ship new ideas, and keep panels feeling fast. We have been reimagining what’s under the hood for the Effect Controls Panel to make the experience easier to evolve, more reliable, and genuinely better to use. With that in mind, we have been working to modernize the underlying framework of the Effect Controls Panel. We are essentially rebuilding it from the ground up. This is the first stage of a larger project to modernize the UX framework of After Effects.  What is changing? For now, the panel will look nearly identical to the existing version and retain all current behavior and functionality. However, this architectural shift allows us to deliver incremental improvements to the AE user experience moving forward. You may already notice a few subtle changes: We've changed the effect visibility icon to match the familiar eyeball used everywhere else in the ecosystem.  We've consolidated informational icons to the right-hand side for a cleaner experience! And all of the informational icons now have tooltips to further explain what they’re indicating.  We’ve changed the "Reset” command to an icon button.  Existing Effect Controls Panel  New Effect Controls Panel   Known Issues Empty panel after workspace switch: Resize the panel or apply a new effect to refresh the display. Checkbox actions: If clicking a checkbox doesn't register correctly, ensure the effect is selected in Effect Controls Panel first. Documentation and Feedback The existing documentation remains accurate and can be found under the Effect Controls Panel section here: Adobe Help: Effects & Animation Presets Our goal is for the experience to be identical to the previous version and while we have worked hard to preserve every piece of functionality, we need your help to ensure we haven't missed anything. Keep an eye out for any layout issues or things that aren't working as you'd expect, and please let us know if you encounter any bugs or performance regressions so we can address them quickly.

Sketch to Vector now in Illustrator Beta 30.4.0.159

Introducing Sketch to Vector, now available in Adobe Illustrator (Beta). It is a faster, more flexible way to convert sketches or images into usable vector or raster artwork directly in Illustrator. Refine a sketch, turn it into an illustration or reimagine any image using just a prompt. Use the creativity slider to control how closely the output matches the original image. Prompt: fill the sketch with colors and fill the background wall with polka dots of red colorLow creativity and raster output of Gemini 3 modelUnleash your creativity using any raster image. Start with a sketch, scan, photo, or similar input, and generate artwork based on your intent. We encourage you to test this feature across a range of scenarios and workflows. Some identified use cases are listed below, but the possibilities are endless.Sketch refinement: Turn rough sketches into more refined outputs Sketch to illustration: Convert rough sketches into filled artwork Photo to vector: Transform photos into stylized vector illustrations with more personalized results and the ability to explore different styles Sketch to photo: Generate photo-like outputs from simple sketchesHow to use:Select a sketch or image as input. Open Sketch to Vector from the supported entry points in Illustrator (Properties Panel, Right click menu, Contextual HUD, Object Menu --> Generative menu and Generative menu in the Toolbar). Describe actions or refinements using the prompt and adjusting the settings. Available model options include GPT, GPT 1.5, Gemini 2.5 and Gemini 3. Click on Generate.Important points to note:You must start with a raster image to use Sketch to Vector. Sketch to Vector will use the original image as a reference even when used on a generated object (raster or vector). Outputs are generated on top of the selected image, so your original image remains unaltered.Try it now in Beta and share feedback to help shape what's next.

Turntable in Illustrator | Multi‑Angle Viewing for Vector and Raster Objects

Turntable in Illustrator | Multi‑Angle Viewing for Vector and Raster Objects

Hello everyone,Turntable, powered by Adobe Firefly, is now available in Illustrator. It takes your 2D object and generates multiple rotated views, so you can see it from different angles. You can smoothly slide between these views, pull out the ones you like, or export them as a GIF for a dynamic, rotating preview.Follow along with a sample file to explore the rotated views generated using Turntable. Try it in Illustrator! Generate multiple views Select the object you want multiple views for, then go to Object > Generative > Turntable. Illustrator will create a set of views and place them inside a Generative Object on your canvas, along with controls in the Contextual Task Bar. You’ll also see a grouped version in the Layers panel, plus a copy of your original object. You can also find Turntable in the Transform panel, Properties panel under the Transform section, Control panel, and the right-click menu.Note: Turntable works best with vector and raster objects without a background that have recognizable angles in a real-world scenario. Use the Contextual Task Bar to play around with views—rotate left or right, tilt up or down, or reset to the original view. You can add new rotated views to either side, place all views on the canvas, or export everything as a GIF.Want more angles? Just drag the rotate slider or use the tilt arrows. You can even combine rotation and tilt for more perspectives. Hit Reset anytime to go back.To pull out views, add them individually or place all of them on the canvas at once. For exporting, choose Export as GIF, then pick your settings like view type, frame range, speed, direction, and background. You can also give feedback on any view—upvote, downvote, or report it if needed.Access the views later To get back to your generated views, just select the Generative Object and click Turntable in the Contextual Task Bar or Properties panel. If you want to see and manage all your generated views in one place, go to Object > Generative > Generation History.Edit the viewsIf you directly edit a view in isolation mode, those changes won’t stick—once you go back to Turntable and move the slider, they’ll be lost. If that happens, just hit Cmd + Z (Mac) or Ctrl + Z (Windows) to bring it back. Also, edits to one view don’t affect the others. If you want to make permanent changes, you’ll need to ungroup the Generative Object. Since that breaks all linked views, it’s a good idea to make a copy first. Then:Select the Generative Object and open TurntableUse the slider or arrows to get the view you wantGo to Object > Ungroup (this turns it into a regular object and removes linked views)Edit it however you likeYou can also explore when to use Turntable vs Illustrator’s 3D tools, and check out its current limitations. Share Your Feedback We encourage you to try Turntable in Illustrator and share your feedback with the community. A new workflow in Photoshop desktop makes it easier to explore, organize, and refine creative directions, without breaking your flow!  What’s new With version 27.5, you can now open your cloud documents directly in Firefly Boards from Photoshop. This lets you quickly explore ideas, create and compare variations, and organize concepts visually before taking your preferred version back into Photoshop for detailed editing. The result is a smoother creative loop from ideation to refinement using the same cloud document throughout. You can start from an existing Photoshop cloud document, place it on a Firefly Board, experiment with variations, make adjustments, and keep everything neatly organized in one place. When you’re ready, simply open any variation back in Photoshop and continue editing with all the precision tools you already rely on. Learn more about Firefly Boards in Photoshop  How to use it On the Photoshop desktop home screen, go to Your files. [Now Released] Improvements in Transcription Accuracy and Speed

In Premiere, our Speech to Text transcription model supports 18 languages. I am pleased to announce a new drop of our Speech to Text model in Premiere Beta, targeted for version 26.2. When you run transcription in Premiere, you should notice improved accuracy in languages, dialects, and overlapping dialogue.AccuracyExpanded language accuracy improvements: All of Premiere’s languages are showing higher accuracy. Some languages are seeing up to 36% reduction in errors.Better handling of overlapping dialogue: You should notice more words being attributed to the correct speaker as well improvements in the change points between speakers.English dialogue improvements: Premiere should be better at recognizing dialects for English speakers. When tested on both African American and Singaporean English data sets, Premiere has a 28% relative improvement in word error rate (tested in CORAAL and National Singapore Corpus).PerformanceTranscription wait time should be reduced, as long as you are on recommended hardware specs. The chart below shows how many seconds it takes to transcribe one hour of dialogue-heavy footage with 20 different speakers in English. Note: transcription time takes longer when Premiere separates speakers (e.g. Speaker 1, Speaker 2). We have tested on some common machines, but would like to hear if things are performant for you. Tell us what you thinkPlease test it in any languages that you support in your editing. Let us know how it’s doing with different accents, kids, and audio quality. We may want to follow up with you directly if you have sample audio for us to test.
