We’re excited to announce that as of After Effect Beta 26.2x25,  the blue text property values in your timeline (you know, the ones that you can drag on to change*) has a fun new capability, and we're calling it Proportional Scrubbing.You’ve probably selected a bunch of layers and then scrubbed on the Position X property to mass move them all left or right at the same time, or scrubbed on the Rotation property to rotate them the same amount. Now, with Proportional Scrubbing, you can select a bunch of properties across multiple layers and affect them differently — all at the same time.To use Proportional Scrubbing, simply select a bunch of layers in the order you want to affect them (from least to most) and hold Cmd+Opt on a Mac or Ctrl+Alt on a PC while you scrub the blue text values of any of your selected layers.Instead of just applying the same value change to all layers, the first layer you selected's property value won't change at all, the last layer's property value will change the full amount you drag, and all other layers in between will get a proportionally distributed value based on their order of selection. Hold shift to increase the value change by 10x.And it doesn't just work for the basic layer properties. You can select any property — shape layer properties / effect properties / anything across multiple layers and Proportionally Drag on any one of them and the change will distribute itself across the layers, as always, in selection order. (At the moment, you do have to select the individual properties. We recommend using the Timeline search field to reveal the properties across layers and then marquee select (i.e. drag a box around) the shown properties across your timeline stack.)Please let us know what you think of Proportional Scrubbing and how it works for you!FAQs and NotesThis sounds really complicated, will I enjoy it? If you're familiar with dragging on the blue text in the timeline we think you will immediately intuit how Proportional Scrubbing works. And you may just find it to be very fun to use. Does it matter which layer's blue text I scrub on? No, dragging on the first layer selected or the last or any other in between will have the same effect.Does it work in the properties panel? At the moment, no. But please let us know if you have interest in that.How does it work with keyframes? Just about how you'd expect. If a property is keyframed at a different time, it'll add a keyframe. If there's a keyframe at the frame you're on when you make a change, it'll modify it. And if some of your selected layer's properties are keyframed and some aren't, it'll do the right thing to each one. How does it work across mixed selections? The entire path to the property needs to match, so if you have Camera Lens Blur and Fast Box Blur, you can’t Proportionally Scrub the Blur Radius property across those layers. Similarly with dragging the position Z value for a selection that has some 2D and some 3D layers.* PS. Technically the blue text is called “Hot Text”, but we know you probably just know it by color and not this term so that’s why we call it that here. Edit: We’re excited to let you know that Proportional Scrubbing was released in After Effects 26.3. We’re excited to announce the Content Retention Policy for Inactive Users in the Admin Console. This feature allows administrators to set automated retention timelines for inactive user content, after which it is permanently deleted. This helps improve storage management and supports compliance across enterprise and education environments.Go to Admin ConsoleWhy this mattersThis feature helps enterprise and education organizations manage digital assets responsibly, control storage growth, and maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. By automating retention timelines, IT teams can reduce manual oversight while ensuring consistent policy enforcement across the organization. Where to Find ItGo to Admin Console > Storage > Individual User Folders > Retention policy settingTo configure the policy:Navigate to Individual User Folders and select Retention policy setting. Choose to retain inactive user folders permanently or set a custom retention period between 30 days and 10 years. Select Save and then Confirm to apply the changes.All updates are recorded in audit logs, and system administrators and storage administrators receive email notifications when changes are made.When the retention period is updated, the system recalculates deletion dates based on the user's removal date. If any folders have already exceeded the revised retention period, they will be deleted after a 30-day buffer period. Reclaim content from Inactive User foldersFor users who are no longer active in your organization, you can reclaim their assets at any time. To search for a specific user, enter their email address in the search field.Note: Search results only appear if inactive storage exists for that email address. If an error message appears, it may be because the user was never part of your organization, was a directory user, or has no inactive storage. Before You Enable: Inactive User Cleanup Impact ReviewFor large enterprise customers with high volumes of inactive users, Adobe recommends requesting an Inactive User Cleanup Impact Review before enabling the Content Retention Policy.Upon request through Customer Support, Adobe provides a list of deactivated users and their deactivation dates. This gives administrators a clear picture of who would be affected and when their content would be scheduled for deletion, before the policy is activated. Why this matters: Once the retention policy is enabled and the retention window passes, deletion is permanent. Available in Build 18 or higher (26.2.0.18)It was almost a year ago that we launched the new Search Panel in Premiere. At that time, you could search your clips using Media Intelligence, including visuals, transcript, and metadata. Finding things with AI is cool and useful! However, we also know that every video editor has your own way of tagging and organizing takes and clips. As a result, we have added Marker Search to the Search Panel, making it much faster to find and compile clips that you or your collaborators have already tagged with markers, across your entire project. How It WorksOpen the Search panel Use the Markers dropdown Choose one of two ways to search: Search by marker text – find words from the marker Name or Comment Filter by marker color – click the Filter button to add a Marker Color filter and see only markers of a certain color Using text to search for markers  What You Can SearchMarker Search looks across your entire project. As with before, you can narrow searches down to Source markers or Sequence markers. Take ActionYou can drag marker results from the Search panel directly into your sequence. Or, right click and choose one of the other common actions.Note: Single-frame markers will be cut into a sequence with a duration of 5 seconds. You can change this in Preferences > Timeline > Still Image Default Duration. Outstanding IssuesIf your marker has a non-zero start time, it might not work. The Adobe Acrobat Sign February 2026 release just got an upgrade and delivers meaningful enhancements that make signing workflows more flexible, more accurate, and easier to manage—without sacrificing compliance or control. From better in-flight changes to improved authoring and recipient experiences, this release is all about reducing friction while increasing confidence. Here are the highlights: 1. Dynamic Participation for In-Flight AgreementsWork doesn’t always go exactly as planned—and now your agreements don’t have to either. With Dynamic Participation, senders can remove recipients from agreements that are already in progress without canceling and restarting the transaction from scratch. Acrobat Sign automatically revokes access, updates reminders, removes assigned fields, and preserves a complete audit trail. This is especially valuable when the additional signatures are no longer needed.Find out more here. 2. Copy Agreements to Move FasterRepetitive work just got a whole lot easier. Senders can now copy completed, canceled, or expired agreements directly from the Manage Page to create a new draft. Auto-Populate Forms with Verified Identity DataFor workflows that require higher levels of trust and compliance, Acrobat Sign now supports verified form fields powered by identity-verified data. These fields can be locked or left editable, reducing manual entry errors while ensuring that verified data is accurately captured. It’s a great tool for creating background textures with support for a wide range of visual styles. It supports both linear and radial gradients and adds expanded color and texture controls for more creative flexibility. Gradient gives you precise control over position, scale, orientation, repetition, mirroring, interpolation, feathering, and grain, with master opacity and alpha preservation for predictable compositing. Color controls let you blend a tone color and an ambient color independently, with optional desaturation and posterization for stylized looks. Optional texture controls add subtle or bold surface detail through adjustable patterns, scale, distortion, and amount.  Don’t know where to start?  Just press Surprise Me! to get a random result. This is a great way to get some ideas fast and then finesse it further.  Channel blur effectFind it in: Effects panel > Video effects > Blur & SharpenChannel Blur is a high-quality blur effect that lets you blur individual color channels — including alpha — independently. It supports RGB, HSV, and YUV color modes and uses a Gaussian-style blur for smooth natural results.  This is a modern replacement for the obsolete Channel Blur effect Premiere used to have.  It brings that familiar workflow forward with improved quality and broader color-space control, making it well suited for compositing, color work, and targeted blur operations.   Press Surprise Me! to get a random result. Noise effectFind it in: Effects panel > Video effects > Noise & GrainNoise is designed to add controlled, animated noise.  It’s not quite film grain, but is still well suited for breaking up smooth gradients and adding subtle texture. It includes a global amount control along with separate adjustments for shadows, midtones, and highlights, allowing noise to be distributed selectively across the tonal range using a custom, high-quality noise kernel.  Additional controls include noise saturation tuning, HDR-compatible blending modes (Normal, Screen, Additive, Soft Light), and an option to preserve the original alpha channel for safe compositing. This is a modern replacement for the legacy Noise effect that could often look “digital” and fake.  Easily dial in a subtle amount of noise or crank it to the max for a super crunchy look. Press Surprise Me! to get a random result. 3D Spinback transitionFind it in: Effects panel > Video transitions > Transformers3D Spinback is a stylized transition that simulates a three-dimensional spin to add energy and flair between clips. It’s designed to feel dynamic and polished, with high-quality motion blur. The transition offers multiple motion styles — Bezier, overshoot, and bounce — with controls for ease in and ease out, letting you fine-tune how the movement accelerates and settles. Additional animation controls for angle, perspective, dolly and rotation make it easy to dial in anything from subtle depth to bold, expressive motion and a satisfying sense of depth. Press Surprise Me! to get a random result. Slide transitionFind it in: Effects panel > Video transitions > TransformersSlide is a bold and playful transition that moves from one clip to the next by sliding them across the frame. Yesterday, Adobe shared an email with Adobe Animate customers on the future of Animate. What we shared did not meet our standards and caused a lot of confusion and angst within the community. On behalf of Adobe, I want to apologize. While an email to all Animate customers will go out shortly, we wanted to quickly share a few things: 1) our standard approach for applications in maintenance mode, 2) changes to our plans for Adobe Animate and its status, and 3) our commitments to ensuring that you always have access to your content, regardless of the state of development of an application. Standard Approach for Applications in Maintenance ModeIf we deprioritize active development of an application, our approach is to move that application into maintenance mode with continued support. Under maintenance mode, the application will continue to be available, will continue to receive security and bug fixes, but will not get new features. If we decide to go a step further and discontinue a product, we will work closely with the community to ensure they have adequate time to plan in order to minimize disruption and will take steps so that the community continues to have long-term access to their content. Current State of Adobe AnimateAdobe Animate is in maintenance mode. While we are no longer adding new features to Animate, we will continue to support it and provide ongoing security and bug fixes. More importantly, Animate will continue to be available for both new and existing users. This is a change from what we communicated in the email yesterday for the status of Adobe Animate, its time-frame, and availability. To be clear, we are not discontinuing or removing access to Adobe Animate and it will continue to be available to both existing and new customers. Commitments for long-term content/file accessFor Adobe Animate, our commitment is to work with the community to ensure users continue to have long-term access to their content, regardless of the state of development of the application.

Please read this update that shares changes to our plans for Adobe Animate and its status and our commitments to ensuring that you always have access to your content.See this post with the latest update.Adobe Animate has been a product that has existed for over 25 years and has served its purpose well for creating, nurturing and developing the animation ecosystem. As technologies evolve, new platforms and paradigms have emerged that better serve the needs of the users. Acknowledging this change, we are planning to discontinue the sale of Adobe Animate effective March 1, 2026.  Existing Animate users may continue to use the application. Support for enterprise customers will continue for three years, through March 1, 2029.  For all other customers, support will continue for one year, through March 1, 2027.Customers with a Creative Cloud Pro plan can use other Adobe apps to replace portions of Animate's capabilities. Hi Everyone,  The Circle, Arch, and Bow styles of dynamic text are now available in Photoshop beta!  Here’s how to use dynamic text circle, arch, and bowCreate a Point type or Paragraph type layer, and convert to dynamic circle, arch or bow using the dynamic text button menu found in the Options bar, Contextual Task Bar, or using the dynamic text section in the Properties panel. New dynamic text options For circle, arch, and bow, there are 4 options for Position (Above, Center, Below) or changing the direction of the text.  Edit the start, middle, and end pointsOnce a circle, arch, or bow layer has been created, you can adjust the start, middle, and end points with the Path Selection tool. Customize your text to tasteWith dynamic text circle, arch, and bow, most other text attributes are still editable aside from Font Size. ProtipIf you know how to edit the anchor points on a path, once a dynamic text layer has been made circle, arch, or bow, you can manipulate the path with the Direct Selection tool to whatever path shape you’d like and the text will stay dynamic (always fitting the text within the start and end points). If you get into any path-trouble, click any of the preset shapes again to go back to them.   Try the circle, arch, and bow dynamic text shapes & Share what you create!Let us know if you encounter any issues or have thoughts on how we can improve this feature!
