I find Premiere freezing very often, sometimes it unfreezes and works, other times it crashes completely. I get a bunch of recurring errors, below. I am currently editing large 4K files natively, some up to 26gb in file size, in a 1080p 3 cam multicam timeline at ¼ res playback and paused, via A7S3. With the new update all the video clips I put on my second layer automatically got a cross dissolve effect. I always put the clips I want to use on the second layer, but they all have this effect now (very annoying). Question 1: Any possibility to delete this effect for all the video’s at the same timeQuestion 2: How to turn off the function of automatically adding this effect to all clips.

Hi. I’m an old-fashioned movie editor using Adobe Premiere for my living. However, I recently have some clients to assign tasks to swap faces from an existing shots. I have no idea how to use Adobe Premiere to handle this tasks. Any help?

Hi,I'm having an issue with Premiere Pro 26 on Windows 11 where audio waveforms are no longer generated automatically when importing clips (H.264).What I've already tried:"Generate waveforms automatically during import" is enabled in Audio preferences Cleared Media Cache and Peak Files folder Reset preferences Reinstalled Premiere (v25 and v26) Tested new empty projects and different clips Manually triggering Clip - Generate Audio Waveform has no effectThis has been happening for about 2 months. Any ideas?

I try to animate a mask by enabling animation on the mask path, then move to a different time and move the mask to a different place. A new key frame should be generated but nothing. I can explicitly create a new keyframe by clicking the diamond between the two arrows, but that still won’t animate the mask, even though there are two keyframes, they have no effect other than changing the time on the timeline.The only way I can make it work is to not move the mask by dragging, but by changing the numerical x and y position.What might I be doing wrong?

Opened a Premiere project today that I haven’t opened in two weeks, and suddenly the footage isn’t being interpreted correctly. It has a cyan/magenta tone to it, and all track mattes aren’t being read properly.According to AI, the strong cyan/teal + magenta color cast I’m seeing in the Program Monitor is a very common Adobe Premiere Pro color management / interpretation issue, not a hardware/GPU failure.I’ve tried updating all the apps, including Creative Cloud, with no success. What am I missing? Did a Windows update cause this? NVIDIA Studio driver has been updated too with no success of correcting the problem. Super perplexed and wondering if anyone has a solution.

Sorry its a long question, but I prefer to be precise and provide context than have to specify later. I am looking for a way to create a template, which crops the same clip into several smaller pieces that are arranged in a 9:16 vertical format from a 16:9 clip of video game footage. One cropped in on the centre which will sit centrally in the layout with a blurred version underneath to fill up the background space and then 3 more. One will show a cropped portion of the bottom left and another the bottom right, and finally, one will show the top left. There will also be a blurred version of the clip behind all these to fill up the space between.  I can achieve this effect manually, replacing all 4 clips and then finding the section I want to make a vertical clip with. However this is a bit slow and cumbersome and I feel as if I’m missing knowledge on how to automate this.  Ideally I want to make the layout and crops once, with guides to make sure everything is pixel perfect aligned and

Hello - I am collaborating with another editor on a feature film. We are both fully remote and have identical hard drives with the footage. We want to create a Productions project so that we can both work on different reels at the same time. We also need to store this project on the cloud so that we can both access it and have it automatically update. That’s where Teams comes in… is it possible to create a Teams + Production project?Otherwise we need to seek out a different Cloud software to store our Productions project. I have done this in the past with Google Drive but it didn’t automatically update very well. We could set up LucidLink but it seems like overkill if we are only going to be storing our Productions project there. It’d be great if Adobe had some sort of solution for this!

I’ve recently updated Premiere Pro to v 26.2.2, and now my Shure SM7b mic is not being recognized. The mic is connected to a Focusrite Solo via XLR, then to pc with USB. I have tried connecting the audio interface to every USB port on my pc to start, yet the issue remains. Audio interface has phantom power enabled, and audio is picked up in Windows settings, discord, Google Gemini, etc. Confirmed default input/outputs are set correctly. I have attempted rolling back to previous versions of Premiere, re-installing mic drivers, creating new sequences, creating mono audio tracks, changing Audio Hardware input/output from system default to actual device, checking for System updates (Acer pc), restarting computer, disconnecting and reconnecting all cables, testing mic in a separate project, ensuring the mic is set as default in Control Panel, allowed by Privacy & Security in Settings, and the list goes on (see screenshots for applicable settings). Any advice/assistance would be great. T

If you are having very high GPU Usage like maxing out even without doing anything then it could be AI features that came after 25.2 Update and you having old GPUs which doesn't have AI capability. So, simply go to Edit > Preferences > Media Analysis & Transcription > Visual Analysis (TURN OFF 'Analyze all imported media to visually search your projects'). I literally ignored all updates since 25.2 because of this turned ON. I think Adobe should turn this ON by default only to GPUs by detecting if they are capable of AI.

Is there a way to maintain video quality after I scale it up?

Can anyone direct on how to make a baseball scoreboard with pitch count in premier pro?  There are several web based ones available but I can’t use them inside of premier pro.  Would need something to look like this: 

I’m trying to transcribe a sequence, but Premiere keeps saying “No dialogue found” even though the clip clearly has spoken audio.Audio meters are active and levels are normal Clip is not muted and is on the timeline (A1) I’m using Transcribe Sequence (not static transcript) Tried tagging audio as Dialogue + different settings Reinstalled Premiere and cleared cache Still happening across multiple projectsFootage is a .MOV file, audio plays fine — it just won’t generate a transcript.Has anyone run into this or know a fix? 

The new masking/pen tool process is frustrating. It’s good that there are more controls, but it’s just not thought through…If I select my layer in the timeline, then select Lumetri Color in Effects Controls, then click the pen masking tool (Which is different from the masking tool!) it does NOT keep the keyframe data. I tried with select object mask tool as well, and still it doesnt seem to be holding the tracking data. My mask just stays whereever I place it last. Even if I manually set keyframes for the mask path and position, then go to a different spot, not only does the new spot not automatically create a keyframe for you when you make a change!!! but it still doesn’t update if you manually create new keyframes there and change the mask.It’s completely broken..Premiere Pro version 26.2.2M1 Ultra Mac Studio. I’m working on a project and saved yesterday but suddenly today I get: It’s a massively important project! None of the autosaves from yesterday work either, I tried 20!The only that works is one from really far back with significantly less work.I thought I found a solution, the files work in Premiere Beta! (V26.5.0 Build 3) But then Premiere just closes after about 30 seconds. No error, just closes. Effects can be added to the sequence in the export settings in Premiere Pro.There are only 8 effects. There can’t be multiple instances of the same effect enabled at the same time, e.g. 2 Timecode overlays (1 for SMPTE and 1 for frames), unless you export a preset (.epr file) and modify its underlying XML code. I’ve customized such a file to enable 2 Timecode overlays and 3 Name overlays:Timecode Overlay: SMPTE (upper left)Timecode Overlay 1: Frames (lower right)Name Overlay: Output filename (lower left)Name Overlay 1: Clip name (upper right)Name Overlay 2: Disclaimer (upper center)This is the result: Everything works great except the ‘Name Overlay 1: Clip name (upper right)’ effect. It’s only possible to choose between the following formats:Output File Name is the name of the exported file. Source File Name is the name of the sequence to export.  There is no option to choose ‘Clip Name’ to display the name of the clips in the sequence to export. I'm really missing

Hi, Ive been editing a project for 2 weeks and premiere pro just randomly crashed causing my file to be corrupt. Somehow during one of the premiere pro updates auto save was turned off…….. so I don't have any auto save files to go back too.  Is there anyway to recover my project or has adobe royally screwed me?

Hey!Can you create a new sequence using a imported clips timecode?We have a bunch of interview footage where we need to transcript and translate everything. I know you can use multicam for this, but this does not work when you just want the timecode from a single video file. Are you supposed to manually change the timecode of the sequence or is there a more effective way of doing it?Thanks in advance.
