Solved

Hi all, don't know if this is a known issue or not:I'm am setting up numbered lists and want to save them as a paragraph style. The weird thin: As soon as I save the style, all numbers in the list switch to 1. Even if I just use the default settings from InDesign and then just try to save these as a style. What am I missing here?

I know the question was asked and I have ideas as to the best solution(s), but so I don't totally mess things up, here I am.I created a new Catalog and successfully got the contents of my old catalog into the new one. All was fine until I synched the new catalog as it brought in stuff from Lightroom (not LrC). I believe I likely should have chosen the option (?delete synced data), but did not. This created virtual copies that I have cleaned up, but also a lot of duplicates that show a filepath of Lightroom/Mobile Downloads.lrdata/downloaded-smart-previews.I see the option in Sync Preferences (click the gear) to delete all Synced Data. Is this what I should do and resync?Thank youDavid

As you see below, I have three lines to which I've applied a gradient after making them compound paths. It works find for the bottom, solid line example. But for the dashed line, the gradient is applied to each segment indepently. How do I get dash lines to work the same way?

Im simply trying to use a USB mic to record vocals into Audition. The mic physically works fine on its own in other apps and I see a signal indication in the Mac Systems Preferences. But in Audition, Im getting nothing. No evidence of a signal. Also when I try to use built in Input mic on this iMac, I get NO signal levels. What am I missing here?Is there a hidden preference in Audition that "turns on" audio input? Please advise.Thanks.

Hi everyone-I work within healthcare and have a co-worker who struggles with dyslexia.  To help with this, printing documents in purple helps significantly in her ability to read healthcare clinic schedules. However, when saving the schedules, Adobe Acrobat recognizes the text blocks as individual image elements rather than text, making it nearly impossible to change the font to purple.  I was wondering if there were any others out there with dyslexia or are color blind who benefit from altering the color of elements on Acrobat and have found an efficient way to do this. I have tried converting the PDF to a Word document and can manage to get some of it to change to purple text, but since it is not being recognized as a font, I essentially have to put a "filter" on all the image elements. Additionally, the image elements are not combined as one single page but are segmented into small sections that make it very difficult to change the color or add a filter to m

Hi I'm on the latest version of photoshop and have a swatch palette of Pantone Connect swatches - when i hover over a swatch its not showing up the name - its working fine in Illustrator. Is there a setting I can change somewhere or is this a bug?  Mac info below..thanks

I'm about to pull my hair out over this.  I'm no script write, but I can usually fumble my way around and up until this point I've had zero issues. I have cells adding, multiplying, and dividing and they all work perfectly on (lets say) Row A  .. until you move to the row below, Row B,  (which does not pertain to and should not interact with Row A at all)  and then instead of calculating like Row A did, it is adding the calculation from Row B to Row A.  But then sometimes it autopopulates a cell on Row C but nothing on Row B even though everything should be on Row A.  Then after I preview several times, it gets to where some of the fields won't calculate at all.   If I delete the cells and readd and set them up it will again work on Row A, but RowB/C are calucalting into Row A until I preview several times then half the fields stop working. It's so crazy. These are not copyed cells, I manually inserted & entered info into each Te

Hello!   I converted about 1.000 negatives in LrC using Negative Lab Pro 3.0.2  - in LrC the results look very good. For a few days now I’ve been using Lightroom Mobile to sync my photos from LrC to my iPhone. But the photos that were developed with Negative Lab Pro 3.0.2 are displayed with incorrect colors in Lightroom Mobile on the iPhone - either negative or much too dark. For these photos, the message appears in Lightroom Mobile on the iPhone that the “Negative Lab v2.3” profile is not available on this device. Is there any way to integrate this profile into Lightroom Mobile?Or maybe there is another solution to display these photos correctly in Lightroom Mobile?   Kind regards from Vienna, Peter.

I used to be able to toggle on and off whether Illustrator adds the stroke wight to the displayed size of an object, and whether it takes into account an object's troke weight when aligning. If I remember correctly it was a check box labelled "Add stroke weight" in the transform palette. I can't find this now - it has been missing for a while but I have worked around it. I'm now doing a job where I really need to be able to toggle it on and of as I'm wokring. Has it been renamed, moved to another palette?

When creating a project this custom file selection window is driving me flipping crazy. Please tell me there is a way to default back to the Mac file selector window. I haven't used Premiere in a while and this is making me crazy. Thank you!

I have trouble with dust getting into the scanning process of printed photos. I know, I know - work harder on avoiding the dust in the first place. I will, but I will never eliminate it, and I'm getting ready to scan a LOT of photos. The content-aware Spot Healing Brush does a magical job, but it's laborious to click on all the spots one by one. While doing that on a a particularly dusty scan of an old 8x10 aerial photo of a marathon (see small snippet below), I decided to look for something more automatic. Because it was scanned at 1200dpi, the image content had no sharp color changes, making the dust distinctive by sharpness. I tried the Dust & Scratches filter, but even at a setting of only 2 or 3 pixels, I was not happy with the effect on the image content, and a setting of 1px didn't catch enough of the dust.So my engineering brain started imagining how the various smarts of Photoshop could theoretically be combined to automate it, and I thought I'd ask if something like this

I recent designed a magazine for a school, which included a one-page advertisement that was provided to my by the client. When I export the entire magazine file to PDF/X-1a:2001, two lines of text disappear from the ad. But when I export the entire magazine to the Adobe PDF present High Quality Print, the error doesn't happen. Looking for insight as to why this is happening. I have always used PDF/X-1a:2001 for file to be professionally printed, and never had a problem. Thanks.

Hi All,I was wondering if anyone could help me out here. I have several hours of short (1-3 min) clips from a 3 day event that I'm trying to organize and prep for editing.  I wasn't on the shoot, but the cameras recorded the external mic (main audio) to one channel, and the internal mic (reference audio) to another channel; however it varies on which channel they recored main vs reference.  For the clips where someone is talking directly to the camera and I know I won't need the reference audio, I've gone in and done "modify audio" and mixed the "stereo" down to "mono", and then selected the channel with the "main audio" to be source channel.   That works great- now when the person talks it comes in evenly through both left and right speakers instead of being lopsided. However, when I then try to take 2 of those clips that have been mixed down to "mono" and create a new multi-cam sequence, the new sequence consistently plays audio only from the left channel.  I

tl/dr:  Need an easy way to add timecode burn to audio files, not video files, when making an extensive "daily" preview clip.  Am I SOL?  I think I'm SOL.  I'm probably SOL. Here's my dilemma:    A day's shoot on our documentary typically lasts from 7am 'til 9pm.  And the way we used to make the dailies is just lay out all the video/audio files and sync them to our jammed time-of-day TC.  This would make a timeline 14 hours long, but there it was.  You could see all your audio and video clips and when they were made.  Lots of blank spots, but it was all easy to see, easy to understand, and easy to apply a macro timecode burn to the entire day since I'd just pull it from the sequence/timeline.  Start sequence's numbers around 07:00:00 and off they go until 21:00:00. Nevertheless, job is now to make all the blank spots in the daily gone.  Basically all clips need to butt each other, no gaps.  Alright, my

Hello, I have set up the forms to tally correctly, but there seems to be an issue with the first number in particular totaling correctly. As far as I can tell, in the end everything calculates correctly, but while going through the process, it shows inaccurate information; especially if the user makes changes.

HelloI'm coming to you because I have a little problemI don't know how to fix it.When I use the layer masks, the eraser and the brush it behaves the same.I can't "erase" from the image, I can just "re-add" with both tools.

I'm on an iMac 2017, OS Catalina 64GB ram. Recently I upgraded to LR Classic 11.1 and for the last few days, I've been experimenting with all the new stuff.  To record what I was finding out, I was alternating between LR Classic & Pages app to type notes. Today, a small screen popped up, supposedly from Adobe, asking for permission to record my computer's screen. I denied it, but would like to know why it would do that. It causes me some concern. Thanks for any answers.
