Solved

I am creating labels in Adobe Illustrator and for some reason the files are enormous. The file size is roughly 2x4 inches. It has one 28MB PNG and one 6MB PNG embedded other than some text and a barcode. But the file size is 400MB! I don't have trouble working in it, but I don't like to submit such a massive file to the printing company. 😳 Is there anything I can do to get a decent sized file?   <Title renamed by MOD>

Many tools give predetermine end result. For example when use clipping mask you know what should be the end result. There are many type of Blending Mode but those seem do not give a predetermine end result, it seems only a trial & error can decide which is most appropriate one. Is this way Blending Mode works?

I can't seem to find out how to export the stylized generator to a base color. Also is there a way to bake the environment lights into the same base color ?

I'm using Illustrator 30.0 to prepare some scientific figures. I use matplotlib to output a PDF, which I then "Place" in my Illustrator file, and after making my edits I would export the file as a new PDF. However, when I do this, the output files' colors seem messed up on every PDF viewer I use (Acrobat, Chrome, Firefox, even Illustrator). For example, here's a screengrab of the matplotlib output, which looks as expected:Here's the preview in Illustrator, before export:And here's after export. Document color mode is RGB, exporting using the [PDF/X-4:2008] preset, though other settings have given me similar results:If I change the document color mode to CMYK before export, it looks slightly different, but still bad:And here's my color settings, if it's any clue:I don't expect a perfect color match on the output, but this seems dramatically far off. Is there some combination of settings which I can use to preserve the appearance of my output? Here's a Creative Cloud link to my example f

Why older versions are removed?   Due to the lack of performance on my Mac, I'd reinstall the system to regain a clean operating OS. Today, after I reinstalled the Creative Cloud APP, I found out that the Premiere Pro, After Effect and Media Encoder, these APPs older versions all are removed. I'm still using my old machine which is still running Monterey OS, the Creative Cloud App keeps telling me the system needs an update to install those Apps. Why did Adobe remove them? I'm still paying you to use those Leagle applications which you urge customers to do. Is there any solution to let me get those older versions?

Dear Adobe Photoshop Community,I’m a WordPress theme developer. I plan to release a theme on WordPress.org, where all bundled images must be GPL-compatible.I would like to clarify how your terms apply in this situation:If I take a CC0/public-domain image, edit it in Photoshop with standard tools (crop, color, retouching, etc.), then export it, does Adobe add any restrictions on the resulting image? Can I still redistribute that edited image under the GPL inside my theme? If I use Photoshop’s AI features (e.g. generative fill, style changes) on a CC0 image that I provide, are there any additional rights or license terms on the output that would prevent me from redistributing that image under the GPL (allowing users to copy, modify, and redistribute it)?My goal is simply to confirm whether using Photoshop (including AI tools) on CC0 images keeps the result free to distribute under GPL with my WordPress theme.Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,Since updating to the 2025 version of InDesign, files like .ai and .psd with transparent backgrounds stored in the CC Library now appear with a white background when placed in a design. This issue persists when exporting to PDF. This is only happening in InDesign. Anyone can help me, please? Thanks

I'm trying to script the placement of an object from the library (it does other things but only thing it doesn't do is place it where I want it).So I have the script set to 0,0 absolute Then offset X= -120 and Y= 5  But in different document sizes it doesn't go to the same place - if the page has a spread etc.    For the record it's fine if it places on the page and I move manually - but hey if the script can reposition it in the why not - right?   I can't get it consistently to be in the position I want  if (placedAsset && placedAsset.length > 0) { var obj = placedAsset[0]; // Save current preferences var oldRuler = doc.viewPreferences.rulerOrigin; var oldAnchor = app.activeDocument.selectionPreferences.anchorPoint; // Set positioning reference to page origin and top left anchor doc.viewPreferences.rulerOrigin = RulerOrigin.PAGE_ORIGIN; app.activeDocument.selectionPreferences.anchorP

Hi i have High sierra and I want to install premiere but without success, can you tell me where i can find former versions? [Branched and renamed by moderator]

Hi everyone, Does anyone knows if there is a way to offset layers and keyframe with the same value?I explain : sometimes, when you need to add more time at a certain point of a composition you need to push further some layer blocks AND also only push some keyframes on a layer (most of the time this layer is my camera for example). As you cannot select and push layers and keyframes selected at the same time here is why i ask. I can do it manually with two selection steps but it can lead to mistakes in my count of keyframes to add. And also as it is a matter of timing, i need to try and see with more ease. I've send a visual example if it's not clear.  Thanks

I am out of town for a family emergency and needed to open my FMLA application from my work email. I purchased pro; the attachment wouldn't open due to security placed on work email. I cancelled within a few minutes and am seeing no refunds available. Is this true??

Unk here. Mac user... upgrading from 2024 to 2026... With regards to the image... what is this gd stupid "frame" called and how to I banish it to the deepest darkest pits of hell?I'm an OG Photoshop user and this sort of nonsense drives me crazy. I feel I should even have to ask this question... but... here we are... Second question, why won't Photoshop automatically import my previous settings when I install the latest version?

Hey All, I've been hitting this issue for a couple years now. I've experienced it across two jobs using separate computers and Adobe accounts, leading me to believe it's an issue with the software, but I haven't been able to find an answer to the issue. I will be working in InDesign and every couple of minutes all of my other windows will "lock up". I am not able to interact with any other program in any way. InDesign stays fully functional during this, but if I were to, for example, go to open an excel spreadsheet, I am not able to pull it up. Windows that are already open on my screen are also locked up, and I'm not able to use them. This only ever happens with InDesign. Never Illustrator or PhotoShop. My temporary fix is to hit ctrl+alt+delete and open then close the task manager. This works every time, but impedes my flow and is frustrating. I use InDesign and Windows - both fully updated. Help would be much appreciated!

Since upgrading to Tahoe OS, whenever I click on a tab (at the top), the screen leaves full screen mode. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Hello everyone! After some research I haven't found a real answer to my issue and I am sure there should be one.I am currently working in a pipeline with a team where we layout packaging faces in indesign before copy/pasting it to illustrator tracings from the printer/manufacturer.The issue is that on our layout we have paragraph/texte strokes, bullet points and fonts needs to be vectorized on the illustrator file. Everything works –bullet points are a bit tricky but it is manageable– aside from the paragraph strokes who dissapear once we hit the vectorized command. As we have paragraph styles and paragraph strokes setting, spacing, offset, etc. Regular strokes are not an option. We have too much files and faces to deal with it manually. Therefore here is my question: Is there a clear solution to have text/paragraph strokes vectorized ?Thank you very muchHave a nice day!

Hi, I'm trying to figure out one issue and unsuccessfully, so I'm turning my question to you. I have layers for eyes, for this problem mainly Pupils - Iris - White as picturesPupils are in Iris and Iris in White. However the Iris slightly overlaps the White and if I put Pupils into the overlaping area, they are visible, which is not wanted factor as next picture I'v tried to find a solution online, but non of them worked for me. It¨s like I need mainly the Pupils to be in the Iris (which is working) and secondary in the White (which I dont know how to do) Thanks for your time

Is there any way to add a bleed and crop marks within the Illustrator iPad app?
