Solved

Hello - I updated Illustrator yesterday to version 26.0.1 and a strange flickering is now occurring. When I move my cursor the grey background behind the artboard flickers between light and darker grey. Also, filled shapes onscreen do the same thing -- jumping between a slightly lighter and darker shade of the same color. This appears to be related to onscreen guides for alignment trying to appear -- when the flickering is happening, alignment lines are visible, but no text (Anchor, Center, 45 degree angle, etc.). I'm attaching a quick screen recording in which you can see the flickering happening, then it stops, then starts back again. Never seen anything like this until the update yesterday. Please help, this is incredibly annoying and headache-inducing! More about my system:2017 Macbook Pro, 15"2.9 GHz Quad-Core Intel i716 GB MemoryGraphics: Radeon Pro 560, 4 GBOS: macOS Monterey 12.0.1Dual screen setup via USB-C to an LG 27" 4K monitor (Model # BK67U), 60 Hz refresh rate

I am unable to find a script that will do this. The default application functionality is really frustrating how it just slaps a generic "Layer 1", "Layer 2" layer name on the new layers. I would rather have the name of the sublayer become the name of the new layer. Has anyone seen a script anywhere that does this?

I use to edit A LOT on Element 3D, I used to pirate all of it becaise I couldn't afford it, one day Element crashed my After Effects and it never stopped until this day, I BOUGHT After Effects and Element 3D from Video Copilot, HOPING it would work. I can apply element to a layer with no problem, and open the interface without nothing happening, but when I import 3D models EVEN the ones that come with Element, my After FX crashes. I tried unistalling everything, and just nothing works! I got clients waiting on me AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. help plz

Hi everyone, I'm new to Illustrator and using it for scientific visualization.I need to draw a long blue waveguide (a rectangle). At one spot, I want two coatings on top of the waveguide (gold + another material). No layer under the blue bar. I attached a reference image done by AI.What’s the best way to stack these layers with different thicknesses so they sit smoothely on top of the eachother? Any simple steps or tool suggestions are appreciated.Thank you.

I’m trying to use two variable fonts: SCALE and SZTOS SCALE works great in illustrator but when I try to use it in AE I only have italic options. SZTOS would be my preferred choice but that only gives my access to the italic versions in both Illustrator and AE. I’ve installed/removed etc but can’t get them to work. I did also test OBVIOUSLY font which works great. I have emailed about SZTOS as it is a known issue of the font itself. I should have reguular and italic. Seems to be a font issue maybe but strange how I have limited options in AE – ie, limited to Italic only. Any ideas?

I think this may be more a feature request than a bug report, but it is an annoyance nonetheless. In Lightroom CC, I can 'edit in photoshop' and it will do just that.I can add layers, do whatever I need to do in photoshop, and save. The photoshop-edited photo appears in my lightroom library. If I then edit in photoshop again, even on another computer, the layers are still preserved - good!HOWEVER: if I then (accidentally) edit in lightroom again, all my photoshop edits are simply wiped out. If I edit again in photoshop, I simply get one flattened layer containing the photo with the edits that were done in lightroom. I appreciate that for lightroom CC to make edits it has to flatten the photo as it doesn't have a concept of layers, but it would be nice if it didn't simply wipe out the photoshop edits in order to continue editing in lightroom CC! If I have edited an image in photoshop, could you then 'lock' it for further editing in lightroom, and put a message saying "you

I'm seeing I'll need to build or hunt for files with Table Styles to be imported - are there no prebuilt table styles to start with that can be modified?  Thus far the free template table styles seem to be built for much more 'minimist flash' than a more basic setup.     Am I thinking it may be easier to do a high res, blown up screenshot from MS Word instead of trying to fuss with getting a table to be somewhat similar?

As the title says, remove tool keeps getting stuck loading as shown in the preview below. It worked fine last night. Drivers and software are up to date. Tried fiddling with settings as suggested with to people with similar issues, still the same. Tried reinstalling, same thing.

Hey there, I am helpless.I am Using Photoshop CC 2014, always the newest version, on a mac. Here's the problem: I am usually working in PSDs with many layers, and some smart objects. Inside of the smart objects, I have content that I can change. So when I save the contents inside of a Smart Object, it also changes them inside of the main PSD.BUT - since months, I can't save the changes inside of a Smart Object. Photoshop is telling me:Can't save this document back to its original file format. Flatten layers and discard extra data as necessary and choose File > Save again. When I flatten the image, the Smart Object has no usage for me, because it's like a rasterized layer.Someone help me?  I didn't find a solution in the internet!Btw: I already tried reinstalling Photoshop. The issue is still there.Thank you.

When I used Premiere pro 2024, during editing clips, the pre-rendering time of individual shots took a dozen seconds (qucik process mostly use after slowmo effect). When I rendered the project in its entirety to an HD/4k file - for 8 minutes of material it took 1-2 hours.  After the update, ( I didn't change anything in the computer software), the same operations take several minutes for a simple pre-render and even 13 hours for export to HD/4k movie (8 min movie) It's impossible to work this way. The thin bar on the timeline is still red and somehow forces me to pre-render all the time. What shoul I do?

I'm subscribed to acrobat pro dc but unable to find where the drawing tools are when opening file on iPad. I'm a lighting designer and need to mark up floor plans when on-site via iPad and then open same file on desktop when I return to office. Why is this so difficult?? When I select comments the pencil/pen come up but not the shapes option. Any advice?

Regarding brush options, is there a way to link the settings for the sample layer to each layer individually?(For example, I want to fix “Current Layer & Below” for Layer A and “Current Layer” for Layer B, and switch between them while working.)

When im working on a large image (5m x 2m) layers just wont merge. the grey circles go round and then nothing happens, nothing is merged. Its only on large files, why is this a problem ive never had before? I updated photoshop to the latest version and still the same. Its incredibly frustrating, i cant have all these stray layers.

A little context for our situation. We create our documents in InDesign, export to PDF, remediate and deliver. We recently moved from PAC 2021 to the new PAC 2024 (which is great BTW) as our accessibility checker which has a new "Quality" tab. The things shown on the quality tab are not UA or WCAG errors but, rather, are things that improve the experience for the users. On our Tables of Contents (which we've done the same way for ever using the automated TOC tools in InDesign) we are getting a PAC 2024 quality error that reads "TOCI element links to an incorrect destination".  I messaged axes about the error because I was a bit confused by it and was told that the TOCI links need to direct the user to the Heading Level (H2, H3, H4, etc) but in our documents it's pointing to the page. This is a warning because if the user has low vision uses the zoom feature on the document to something like 300% they will select the TOCI and go to the top of their destination page instead of

On Adobe's Danish Internet page there seems to be a flaw. When I go to the Photoshop Elements section and want to upgrade my 2025-version to 2026 I only get one option: Upgrade to PSE 2025. Not 2026.Apx. one hour ago I wrote this to Adobe on the chat, and the representative just told me that Adobe is not selling licenses anymore - only subscriptions. After that he just left the chat. Very rude behavior!

Danke!

How to change default so when I want to create and have people to sign my documents, that by default recipient settings = Adobe sign So stupid and tedious that I have to mouse click every time I have to create documents. Would just be a good service to users that I can chose this as a default settings.

Hi, on version 15.1.1 the UI panel does not scroll down to show all edits. I read it is a bug that will be fixed. In the meantime, HOW CAN I ACCESS TO "properties" of the linked VRcomps to stabilize/track and above all REFRESH the "Output/render"??Appreciate any help!
