You asked, we listened, and we're excited to share that one of the community's long-standing feature request is now available in Photoshop 27.10. For years, many of you have asked for more control over the file formats shown in the Save As and Save a Copy dialogs, including the ability to hide formats you don't use and create a cleaner, more streamlined saving experience. Today, we're happy to say: it's here! What's new? You can now customize the file formats displayed in the Save As and Save a Copy dialogs. Simply go to: Edit > Customize Save Dialog File Formats From there, you can: Enable or disable file formats Move formats you don't need to the Disabled File Formats column Restore the default list at any time Whether you're a photographer who primarily exports JPEGs and TIFFs, or a designer working mostly with PSDs and PNGs, you can now tailor the save experience to match your workflow. Why you'll love it No more scrolling through long lists of formats you never use. Thi
What’s NewPhotoshop 27.10 introduces powerful new ways to edit and create with AI while giving you more control over your workflow. You can now fine-tune image lighting non-destructively with the new Light adjustment layer, making it easier to adjust exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, and more without permanently changing your original image.This release also brings the AI Assisted editor (Beta) directly into Photoshop, giving you access to Firefly-powered creative tools from within your editing workflow. New AI capabilities include Prompt to Edit, which lets you make image changes using natural language, and Markup, which enables you to guide AI generation and editing with visual annotations. For more precise AI-powered editing, you can now use masks and selections to control exactly where generative edits are applied. Text workflows are also improved with Dynamic Text for shapes and paths, allowing text to reflow and resize as you adjust shapes and paths automatically. Addition

I just bought a Brand new PC and Photoshop struggles to operate efficiently utlizing my new GPU. Here’s the specs: CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 270k PlusGPU: NVIDIA RTX5070TiRAM: 64GBSSD: 1TBOS: Windows 11 Pro4k, 32” Monitor. Problem 1: The issue is mainly with the Object Selection tools and those tools/options that requires GPU. I’ve turned off all settings for Object Selection tool for auto detecting objects. But it still takes a 2-5 secs to fully operational. So even the automatic detection is disabled, when I select the tool, the little loading icon still spins like it’s detecting something. Before it finishes, if I try to draw a rectengle to select subject, it lags behind my mouse movement. When the detection icon stopped, then the tool behave as expected. I’m not sure what happens during the process.No crush of course. However, when I draw a rectangle with Object selection tool, my processor usages goes up to 100% for 1 or 2 seconds. Problem 2:When photoshop starts, if I hit ctrl+N to

I often see new photoshop features advertised that I’d like to try. But when I go to photoshop that feature just isn’t there.For example the new adjustment layer ‘Light’ is not in the drop down like adobe says it is on the official tutorialAnother example is the new 3D rotatable object feature. It is not in the Contextual Task Bar it is not in the ‘Edit’ menu. *I dont mean these features are greyed out I mean they are not there at all**I have latest MacOSX and latest photoshopThese are just two examples but this type of thing has happened before. Any help would be much appreciated
I found the code below on the forum; it makes the image automatically fit the screen when opened.But I want it to fit 46% of the screen—is that possible?Thank you. var id57 = charIDToTypeID(“slct”); var desc15 = new ActionDescriptor(); var id58 = charIDToTypeID(“null”); var ref6 = new ActionReference(); var id59 = charIDToTypeID(“Mn ”); var id60 = charIDToTypeID(“MnIt”); var id61 = charIDToTypeID(“FtOn”); ref6.putEnumerated(id59, id60, id61); desc15.putReference(id58, ref6); executeAction(id57, desc15, DialogModes.NO);
On a Mac with M1 processor. Recent update of PS will not open photos that are transfer from most recent version of lightroom classic. “Edit in PS” opens PS to a white screen not a work screen. Sińce few months I’m seeing problem with Photoshop updates. If they started automatically and then I log out or shut down computer not knowing it because updated running in background whole installation crash and the only way is to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop.On MacOS the message when starting program is that installation is incomplete or broken. I have never experienced such error before when doing so - closing computer during updates - it just started again after new session, and no other Adobe apps like Illustrator, Premiere etc. are suffering such as Photoshop.But what is worst. Each time such event broke all preferences so I need to setup Photoshop once again!
Thanks to all who took part in our last, ‘Holy Island’, challenge. There were some great entries that showed the imagination and skill of this community.The regulars in these challenges will know that sometimes we start with a scene and sometimes an object. This week we have two starter images, the first with a magnifying glass and a paper. The second is the same magnifying glass but with a transparent background. You can use either, or both, to start your entry. The scene was created and rendered in Blender 3D with Adobe Substance 3D Designer and Adobe Substance 3D Painter used for textures.How imaginative can you get with this simple scene, or object?The “rules”:Use the starter image as at least part of your own image entry. Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright, etc. Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum “regulars”. The challenge is not limited to Pho
Elements Organizer v26.3Windows 11 Pro, 25H2I have encountered reproducible corruption of HEIC files associated with Adobe Elements Organizer 2026 on Windows.Approximately 100 HEIC photographs became unreadable by Elements Organizer, Windows Photos, Apple devices, and OneDrive's web viewer. The files themselves remained approximately their original sizes, and ExifTool could still read much of their metadata.Important: I have never used Organizer's File → Save Metadata to Files command. My normal Organizer usage with these photographs is limited primarily to facial recognition, identifying people, and correcting facial identifications. I have not intentionally modified Date Taken, comments, or keyword tags.Reproducible automatic file modificationI performed a controlled test with a known-good HEIC file.Before importing it into Elements Organizer:SHA256: 84921CB42E48AA45C27EA8B9AB3A02A1031BB62C690C794C12D6BD57F542F5BAAfter simply importing the file into Organizer, without editing or savi
I would regularly use Firefly 5 to add elements to my images. But now that I’ve updated Photoshop to v27.10, the results that Firefly 5 produces are unuseable. I would like to revert to the previous version of Photoshop, but I’m wondering if I’ll lose all of my settings if I do that.
Using the right click Edit In Adobe Photoshop - Editing a Nikon NEF Raw File converting to a TIFF in Photoshop 27.10 from Lightroom Classic 15.5.1 Colorspace Displays Colors Incorrectly in Photoshop 27.10 interface. When you save the TIFF and view the updated save file in Lightroom Classic 15.5.1 the colors display correctly. I have the settings in PS to preserve embedded photos in AdobeRGB and they are still getting a bad color shift and oversaturated when doing an export to Photoshop.This occurs when you do an Export to PS 27.10 from LR Classic 15.5.1 and ACR 18.5.1.I have downgraded to PS 27.9.1
Product: Adobe PhotoshopAffected Version: 27.10Last Known Working Version: 27.9.1Platform: WindowsDescription:Photoshop 27.10 appears to have introduced a regression in the way DCS files containing multiple spot-color plates are interpreted.The exact same DCS file opens correctly in Photoshop 27.9.1. In 27.10, the first custom plate is instead interpreted as Photoshop’s native Gray channel. After this happens, the spot-color metadata/tagging associated with the subsequent channels is also incorrect.This affects production files used for screen-printing color separations, where every DCS plate needs to retain its correct plate name and spot-color assignment.Steps to Reproduce:Open the attached DCS separation file in Photoshop 27.9.1. Open the Channels panel. Confirm that the first plate and all subsequent spot channels are interpreted correctly. Close the file. Open the exact same DCS file in Photoshop 27.10. Open the Channels panel. Observe that the first custom plate is now interprete
When using Content-Aware Fill Photoshop samples all layers instead of the only the layer selected, even though the check mark for "Sample All Layers" is unchecked.This seems to only happen the preview/pre-rendering hasn't fully finished rendering (also when using Content-Aware Fill as part of an Action).If I let the pre-rendering fully finish it does not happen. When you change the quality setting in Save for Web, the preview no longer automatically updates and instead you have press RETURN for the preview pane to change. This is annoying and inefficient. And if you hit RETURN an extra time by mistake, the save dialog pops up which makes the new interface even more annoying and time consuming!Also the dropdown menu for the image size is far slower than it used to be. Previously, you could just quickly click + or -, now you have to dig through a long list of size options. Sure, you can type a percentage, but you are guessing the size… the old method was quicker and easier.I MUCH, MUCH prefer the previous design. New is NOT better!
I’m having a saturation issue with Photoshop Version (27.10.0), how do I revert to a previous version so I can use Photoshop until Adobe fixes this issue?Camera Raw & Bridge looks good as it did before the (27.10.0) update. Thank you,Julius
Environment: OS: Windows 11 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i7-14700K GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada Generation Photoshop Version: 27.10 Driver: NVIDIA Studio Driver Issue Description: Immediately after updating to Photoshop v27.10, severe UI and canvas rendering issues began occurring during normal editing. The symptoms include: Rapid flickering where UI elements and the canvas temporarily disappear and instantly reappear (no black or white flashes). When navigating menus (e.g., Preferences), the text briefly vanishes and comes back. While editing, the active photo disappears from the canvas and instantly reappears. The flickering happens extremely fast, rendering the application completely unusable for daily work. This issue is isolated to Photoshop and does not occur in other applications. Troubleshooting Steps Executed: Verified the monitor is connected directly to the NVIDIA GPU, bypassing the Intel iGPU. Forced High Performance GPU assignment for photoshop.exe via Windows 11 G

Since loading v27.10 of Photoshop the brightness light/dark slider no longer functions. All other controls seem to work OK.

Gen AI is dumb and bad for the environment, our brains, and our creativity
For a company that charges an exorbitant premium subscription fee, their software stability is a absolute joke. A routine update completely destroyed the core Lightroom-to-Photoshop handshake workflow, rendering the standard 'Edit in Photoshop' feature entirely useless.When you try to bypass their broken code pathways, you are met with flat, washed-out color profiles that fail to render correctly even when manually assigning the proper color spaces. Adobe clearly does not test their systems properly before forcing updates onto paying users. They are using their consumer base as live guinea pigs for broken code.Instead of saving professionals time, Adobe’s lack of quality control turns simple, two-minute edits into hours of grueling tech support. It is completely incompetent, frustrating, and unacceptable for software that is supposed to be the industry standard. I am actively looking for alternatives to cancel my subscription.It is not surprising that so many people are switching away
Since today’s Photoshop 27.10 update, the “Edit in Photoshop” command in Lightroom Classic 15.5.1 is not working anymore for me. Photoshop opens automatically as before (if it’s not open yet) but no image is being loaded. Downgrading Photoshop to 27.9.1 resolves the issue and the “Edit in Photoshop” functionality is back to normal. I also tried to change the external editing file format from TIFF to PSD or PSB but this didn’t make any difference. Anyone else facing the same issue? I’m running macOS Tahoe 26.6.2. Closing and re-opening LRC and PS didn’t solve the problem, rebooting the machine also didn’t show any effect. P.S.: I posted this in the Photoshop forum as well
