Photoshop

It drives me crazy how there's now way for me to click on my library color swatch to change text colors or do color overlays. Anyone figure out how to do this instead of copying and pasting hex codes?

A good example of what is needed it TGA filetypes work fine. Make a TGA image, add an alpha channel to determine the transparency. Save. The reopen the file. The image is still there, the alpha channel is still there. It is all good. I have old sgi images. Typically named with .rgb file type.If I open one with an alpha channel, so some reason, Photoshop uses the alpha channel and applies it the the image and the deletes the channel. So the part of the image with alpha is lost. It makes the image have a un-wanted halo effect when using alpha in rendering. Please fix the plugin to work like TGA or help me find a way to diable applying the alpha when the file is opened.

Hi, I was wondering if you guys have the same problem with the zoom button at times.  Majority of the time (also the way I'm used to) is that when I slide the mouse up or down, it zooms in or out.  There times though that it's when I click, it zooms in and to zoom out I have to go to the "-" zoom icon.  Am I hitting a button accidentally?  Thanks

Hello! I am working with Photoshop on aprox 2GB files from 4x5 negative scans. My first step is to open the file with Smart Object and do the first adjustments there. I then do the fine tuning in Photoshop using layers, curves, masks etc. My problem is when it comes to the Healing Brush and Clone tools to clean the dust from the scan. I first create a layer over the 'Background". Then I click on it and go to Spot Healing (J).  The problem is when I decide to go back to the Smart Object to do any further corrections, the 'holes' where the spot healing were done show up. How can I fix this without losing the benefit of going back to my Smart Object? Spot healing on the background is a huge risk that is why I create a layer. Thanks!!!

Hi guys. Can anyone give me a tip on how I can use the new (or old) PS2 tools to make up the last bit of a bar I inadvertently chopped when I took the picture? Ideally, I would add an extra inch to the bottom of the photograph so the whole bar shows  . Photos attached. Thank you!

I had someone design a book cover in Photoshop for KDP.  The book is now larger than expected and the cover is not wide enough.  Ive tried changing the image/canvas size but the image seems to be embedded somehow.  I can change the size but there is a white line on both ends.  How do i resize the image to bleed off the page?  Im on a Mac and am very much a novice of Photoshop and have been trying various things and nothing has worked.  Help!

I have 72 images, open them as image sequence in Photoshop. Then if I save project to PSD file and open it I have frame 5 and 6 becomes same image (copy of frame 5) and last frame is missing, cos whole timeline shifts by 1 frame after frame 5. I may be the last person in the world still animating in Photoshop but the Propagate Frame 1 option simply does nothing currently. Turning it off, changes to frame 1 effect every frame. Turning it on, changes to frame 1 effect every frame.To do my work, I have to make a dummy frame 1 that is blank and not edit it.We need the option for changes in frame 1 to not effect the rest of the frames, at all.

Good afternoon, I often get an error message when opening a RAW file in Camera RAW. If Camera RAW crashes, Adobe filters such as "Liquify" also crash. If I close Photoshop and reopen it, the problem often disappears. I want to be able to choose which files I want to go to cloud and which stays in my local for my Ipad. I'm planning on drawing alot on my ipad, but I'm afraid that my cloud storage will become full even though I have more storage space on my local. I would also just prefer to save finished illustrations to Cloud while my ongoing stays in my local. Does anyone know how to disable the automatic save to Cloud?

I have been using Photoshop normally more often but then all of the sudden I click open and nothing happens. I then go to Run As Administrator and nothing happens but duplicate instances open in task manager as a "Background Process"  I have tried many things to fix this problem and only one partially worked.Before you ask, a few things - My PC is able to run it for I have been running it fine - I always run as administrator so it's not as simple as that (I have tried running it normally too) - I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program multiple times - Updated to the latest version - All my drivers have been updated to the latest version as well - Restarted My PC several times after different attempts to fix - Updated windows to the latest version - I created a second admin account (this worked at first but now the same problem still occurs)

Hello!I'm currently experiencing an issue and I'm curious whether anyone has experienced similar or has any advice. I've recently switched from a laptop with a 17.2 inch, 1080p screen to one with a 17.2 inch, 1440p screen. I use photoshop for digital artwork and routinely work on canvases that have to be of specified dimensions. My issue is this; on the 1440p laptop, a canvas that is, say, 2000x2000px looks significantly smaller when at 100% than that same canvas art 100% on my 1080p laptop. When I then save said canvas (usually as a .png), without making any edits to its dimensions or res, and upload it to the internet, the resulting image is larger when at 100% than it appeared in photoshop and suffers a substantial drop in quality (similar to the loss of resolution commonly seen after actively scaling up an image). This is not something that ever previously happened on my 1080p laptop, I've not changed methods or added in any new steps at all, but am using exactly the same proc

Bonjour, depuis la dernière MàJ de mon iMac de 2019 (et de Photoshop dans le même temps) une boite de dialogue s'affiche lors de l'ouverture de Photoshop qui m'indique un problème avec mon "processeur graphique incompatible" (GPU Unknown). Et du coup je ne peux plus accéder à certaines fonctionnalités que j'ai l'habitude d'utiliser quotidiennement, comme la déformation de perspective.   Comment régler ce problème ?Merci par avance

I am trying to strech the Contract Fermentation Image in Photoshop for my website with Shift+Alt Key via Photoshop 2020 but image quality broken, is there any other method to stretch/edit without disturbing the image?  Have a look at both images whic I am trying to fix   2nd image  Your suggestions will be appreciated  CheerHill 

All the sudden Photoshop is using almost ALL of my memory (64gb) but I only have 4 files open, my hardware is plenty capable of working on large files which these are not but these simple files are bringing my workflow to a grinding halt. Does anyone have a solution to these typical bizzare Adobe issues?

I am using Photoshop version 26.2, and I have been experiencing a long-standing issue with the Polygonal Lasso Tool. When selecting an area using this tool, keys such as ESC, Backspace, Space (for panning), and +/- (for zooming) do not work, except for the Ctrl key. This problem occurs after performing other tasks like using the Brush Tool and then returning to the Polygonal Lasso Tool. The key inputs stop functioning, and I have to press the Windows key instead of ESC to reset the selection before starting again. However, after switching to another task and returning to the Polygonal Lasso Tool, the issue reappears, and the keys stop working again I have tried resetting Photoshop preferences, reinstalling the software, and even purchasing a completely new computer to install and test Photoshop, but the issue persists and remains unresolved.OS : Windows 11 CPU :  Intel Ultra 7 Seriese2 256K   / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X  / RAW : 64GVGA : RTX 4080 / RTX 3070 ti

My CS5 was an upgrade and won't install on my new windows PC.  The error says I need the old program on my new pc or the serial # of the old program that was originally upgraded in 2011.

Aologies if this has been discussed already; I haven't been able to find  Is there a way to remove the copyright information for previous years from the drop-down list in File Info?  To be clear, I do not want to remove the copyright info from files. I just want to get rid of the 2024 copyright date that always comes up first in the list. Thanks for any suggestions!

Estava com o PS v24 instalado e desinstalei para tentar solucionar um problema aparente. Então voltei para a v22 que era anterior disponível.Após resolver, quando tentei voltar novamente para a v24, a mesma não estava mais lá. Havia sumido, estando disponível apenas a partir da v25 (que não é compativel com meu setup atual, pois há muitos travamentos). Tem alguma forma de conseguir instalar a versão 24? 

3 problems have popped up in 26.2.0: No tool bar icons, can't select fonts with type tool, error code when exiting. Tool bar is just a bunch of dots.  Only type tool font avainable is Tahoma - get "Could not complete your request because LoadDeepFontCache in GetDeepFontCache failed" error code when trying to choose any other font. When exiting PS, get error code "Can’t write new document presets file"  Been using PS since Ver 7. Been using 26.2.0 since it came out. Uninstalled and reinstalled through Creative Cloud. Tried everything suggested on the web. Windows 10. Looks like I've got to dump PS and start looking at Capture One et al.
