Photoshop

Hi everyone, First of all, sorry for my english , its not my native language. I Have a question, when you are creative cloud customer, with a solo plan as a self artist, which include all creative cloud applications.I acquiered a new mac, and i wanna know if there is a way to save all settings from cc applications on a mac, to be able to recall them on a new one, exemple all photoshop brushes, but also all settings in general for all cc applications.With time i bough and made tons of Ps brushes. Of course we can export them, but well, i would like an option to save all settings, from all applications, in the cloud would be the best. Is it possible ? Thanks for those who take the time to read this, and eventually answer !

I'm using Photoshop v 23.4.2 (and InDesign 17.3) on an Apple MacBook Pro M1 Max running macOS Monterey v 12.5. The problem I'm running into is Photoshop will add a black background when opening transparent PNG and layered TIFF files. These are all files I created myself, so I know they're supposed to be transparent or have multiple working layers. I just recently swtiched from PC to Mac; the older files were originally created by myself on a PC. What's frustrating is that Apple's OS and other apps like Chrome and Microsoft Office will recognize the transparent nature of these files, but Photoshop and InDesign won't. Is there something important I'm missing here? I've already tried turning off the GPU and uninstalling/re-installing earlier versions of the software. I can't tell at this point if it's all transparent files I created on the PC originally, but it seems like it. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

I am having issues with PS 2025 on Windows AI Generate and AI Generate fill.  I do portraits of all kinds, family, wedding, boudoir, partial nudes and I like to expand the background to have the subject centered.  When my client and scantly clothed, I cannot expand my backgroud and have it filled.  I get an error msg  I am a photographer with clients who like to have some special photos and I should be able to edit to my best abilitly so they feel good about themselves.  I spent at least two hours with adobe servoce who tried his best to make it work for me, and it just wouldnt.  Even one photo with low light and she is curled up.  you cant see anything it would not generate my background to expand.  Censorship I get when you post publically.  But these photos are not for the public. How can i insert a decorative image into a FLAT BOX TEMPLATE USING THE FUNCTIONS 'difine pattern", "pattern fil" and "merge visible" someone showed me an image that she did with these 3 functions but never explained how to really use them.

I am using an Asus Zephyrus G16 (GA605W) [AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX, Radeon 890 graphics (shared RAM) and RTX 4060 (8 Gig VRAM), 32 Gig DDR 5. The issue only happens when using the RTX and "USE GPU" is enabled.  This is dificult to describe but will do my best. When using the mouse to adjust any slider in the "Adjustments" area, at very first movement or moving very slowly, the lower half of the image appears to expand by a few pixels then bounces back to normal shape when the adjustment is finished. It does not actually change the size of anything, only distorting while making making those adjustments.  Things I have tried, Tell it to use intergrated graphis - This fixes the issue, however does not help in any way, I am losing speed with this one.  While it is using the RTX uncheck the box that says "use GPU" - This also fixes the issue but same problem as above.  Wilt it is using the RTX and "USE GPU" is enable, unchecking the boxes in Advanced se

Just two days before I got an official notice from Adobe that Adobe CS -6 will no longer be supported (duh, that happened yrs ago) my program started to screw up. My color Picker no longer can identify the color I am picking. I have not changed ANY settings, and have tried both layer and all layers to see if my color picker can know the different. I have only ONE layer. This issue hasn't happened.... ever. Are we being sobbotaged if we intend to keep using older copies? On Windows 11 (all updates secured) And now I can't even get help for it.... 😠

Hi does anyone know how to make the gradient path visible in  photoshop? it was visible before but it suddenly disappear. I tried everything but I can seem to find on hot to make this visible again

I'm pissed off real time! It's my important PSD!  I'm using NFTS external hard drive in my office. But when yestered when I bring home my drive and inserted it in my PC which is the same windows 11 and version of photoshop. Everything is fine I edited my file not until today as I received this error of all of my 3 PSD!

I have Photoshop CS4 Extended disc, student license, serial number. Have already used disc to install on several Macs, some no longer functional. I am planning to buy a refurbished MacBook Pro from OWC Eclipse with El Capitan OS, exclusively for using CS4 Extended. Have no way of knowing if CS4 was ever installed on the machine. Will be requesting several upgrades on new MBP so don't know if 90-day warranty will be honored if CS4 installation/activation fails. How likely is it that I can install and activate CS4 on my proposed purchase? I see some CS4 for sale on ebay, with serial number, etc. One "new, sealed" for $400. Are these more apt to work than disc I have? It may be apparent that I don't know much about this stuff. Thanks.Banjoboy

I'm trying to fill various shapes and I was wondering if the bucket paint tool could be used, in such a way, that it would leave the edges of the fills feathered; I guess it would be like applying an alpha-finish to the edge of the object(s)  Can this be done?Is there a way to do this that I'm not seeing?Is my question making sence? Basically, I'll draw something and then bring it into PS to add color.  But the edges never come out smooth when I use the bucket tool to fill areas, they are always pixelated. So, I'm either not doing something correctly, I can't use the bucket tool this way, or I'm an ediot; I guess it could also be all three.  Peace,ElementX

I'm working with Photshop file into After Effects, but I encounter a parity problem between the two files. Some photoshop layers use "blend if" blending mode, these layer don't display as intended on After Effects.   I've already encountered this issue; As a workaround, I used to merge layers into smart objects but the hierarchy of the Photoshop file do not let me apply the same technique this time. Are there a simpler way to fix parities problems ? I am trying to edit some videos in photoshop. I have combined several clips to make the final video and modified them as smart objects with camera raw, however, the final rendered video (as anMP4) will not play - any ideas? Latest version of Photoshop and Windows 11.

About three days ago, I ran Photoshop and it said I was on a new device, and that I was already on logged in on two devices and needed to log out of one.  The requester listed the IDs of my current laptop and an older one.  I cloccked the option to log out of the older laptop I have not actually used for quite some time.  However, the next morning, the first time I tried to open PS I again got the same message, and this time it listed the same system ID twice, the one I am currently using, citing one as first activated two days ago, and one as first activated yesterday.  So, something has changed so that every morning even though it wakes up on a device with the same ID, it thinks it is on a new device.  This seems to be a bug in understanding that it is not on a new device the first time it is run each day, because I can open and close it the rest of that day with no problem.  Is this a new bug from an update?

I'm having a frustrating, very specific bug and cannot find any documentation about it. Wondering if anyone has seen this and has a fix? Or able to pinpoint a specific setting that was enabled? Using Photoshop version 24.7.3 on a Windows 11 computer to create a logo library. Been going through the process of saving files in various formats. I was able to get through .tiff/.psd/.png/jpg for 72 ppi and 150ppi, then when I was trying to save these formats for 300ppi, I was unable to export .png or .jpg. I closed everything, restarted my computer, and reopened one of the already saved files. This is when the issue started; all files opened from this folder open in photoshop as file name CM_LOG~1. This name happens for all file types opening from these folders (.jpg/.png/.tiff/.psd). I can then save this file with the actual file name into the folder, but when reopened, it reverts back to CM_LOG~1.PSD.  Any ideas why this is happening? For reference, the file name should

Hi there folks I have a question regarding HDR in Photoshop. That is the new HDR - the one with brighter pixels. How do I view and export HDR content in and from Photoshop, when the HDR material is represented as a layer? The exported image is intended for Instagram. My screen has just one stop of HDR headroom. Is this the problem? I can see how much headroom it has in the histogram of Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom. A few details: I’ve flicked on ‘Precise colour management for HDR display’ in the Technology Previews section of preferences. The document I’ve tried to use for HDR images has a workspace with a colour depth of 32 bit and is 1080x1350 pixels at a resolution of 72 ppi. I’ve tried both sRGB and Display P3 colour profiles. I am trying to post HDR images, with the one stop of HDR, on Instagram. I edit in Lightroom and only use Photoshop for creating borders and multiple-slide images. If anyone knows of a HDR compatible way to do this in Adobe

Hi all.  My wife uses an iPad Pro and PS for iPad to collage.  She uses her finger to apply brush strokes on layer masks etc.  She prefers not to use an Apple Pencil.Switching to the desktop / macOS version of Photoshop, we have not found a way to use sidecar and have this "touch" functionality with her fingers with PS tools like brushes.  Does anyone have suggestion or solutions?  Would a Wacom cintiq be a solution?  AstroPad Studio? Also, we've been unable to import additional images into layers in macOS PS, where it is easy in PS for iPad.  We can only import / open additional files into tabs or separate windows.....what are we missing? Thank you in advance for all replies.

This happens every year when I update to the new annual version. So I dread (and delay) updating. It happens even though I click the option to carry everything from one year's release to the next. Only the default LUTs appear in my new Ps 2025 under Adjustment Layer options. I want my full collection of lots of LUTs (some custom developed by me, some purchased and downloaded from the Web). But now I can't see where to find the previous lists on my Win 11 PC in order to (yet again as in past yrs) copy them and paste them into the Ps 2025 file hierarchy. I already tried looking under:   C:Users,[Me],Appdata,Roaming,Adobe,AdobePs2024,Settings       - and I don't see a listing for them there. I know I've found the files and been able to copy them in the past (b/c, as noted, this annoyance happens every year). If I'm looking in the wrong place or there's another method to find, retrieve and copy all my LUTs, not just the defaults, to Ps 2025 so t

I had a chat with tech support about a week or two ago about an issue that came up with Curves. Hi everyone,I’m experiencing an issue when printing from OS 13.6.7 on  Photoshop v 25.0.0 to my Epson SureColor SC-P20000, and I’m hoping someone here might have some insights. The problem occurs when I create a single canvas with multiple images pasted together. When I send the file to print, the plotter advances the paper by about 15 cm, prints only a partial section (around 30 cm), and leaves the rest of the print blank.Here’s what I’ve checked so far:The canvas size matches the paper size exactly.There are no excessive margins or empty spaces in the file.Automatic cutting is disabled on the plotter.The issue doesn’t happen with single images—only when multiple images are combined on one canvas.I suspect it might be a setting or workflow issue within Photoshop, but I can’t pinpoint what’s causing the problem. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance!

I just migrated from an intel Mac to M4. Lightroom is running fine, but when I start Photoshop it says I should install Rosetta. I understand I have to install the non-intel version of Photoshop, but how do I do that? When I start the creative cloud installer, it says "to run this version of Photoshop, Rosetta should be installed". But I just want to delete the current (intel) version of Photoshop.
