Photoshop

I've read through every post on this topic, scouring them for a solution. I've reset preferences. I've restarted both Photoshop and my Mac multiple times Don't even mention the space bar to me, it's fine. Nothing is leaning on it. Clicking it does nothing to solve this maddening problem.PLEASE tell me how to fix this damn hand tool cursor being on all the time. Even when I reset Preferences and try to use a different tool with that fresh set of Prefs, there is nothing but the hand cursor.I'm on deadline and freaking out (can you tell?) This hasn't happened on my main work Macbook Pro  But it's happening on my MacBook Air. Here's my setup (everything is updated):MacBook Air M2 ChipmacOS Sequoia 15.2Adobe Photoshop 2025Wacom Intuos Model CTL-4100WL (I disable all function buttons, using strictly the pen on the tablet, keeping it simple).PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me how to fix this. ::::silently screaming:::: 

I occassionally work with large files and this one is kicking back a scratch disk full error. 200gb free hd space.  PS only seeing 60gb for some reason.   MBP m1max.   Cant figure this one out.  thank you.

I have to re-install CS6 on a new installation of Windows 10. I last installed it 18 months ago without a problem. This time, when I'm asked for the serial number, I get a message saying that it's a recognized product key and to choose a qualifying product from the dropdown menu. But, CS6 isn't listed in the dropdown menu. Lots of older versions are, including CS6 Extended. What can I do? Help, please. Many thanks. Denis

So my brush wont work like before the update 25.12 this 26.0 make my brush when masking not erase the object but it still left some of the outline and very very thin object sillouet like a shadow but when i use the ps 25.12 like before the issue is gone like normal brush working anyone have an idea how to fix or i should stick with the older version until there is an update 

Hello.Instructions within PHC say I may use a reference image for what I am trying to create.I am able to upload a reference image but cannot use it as a guide to follow or to create an image close to exactly the reference image I uploaded. Is there a way to "add one of my own images (that I want to follow or create something like), to the gallery so that I may use it as a "generate image' prompt? I want an image very close to this one. Thanks  

Hello everyone, i think its a simple question but i cant find any solutions for this.A while back, before the last update of Photoshop (my current version 26.2.0), i can no longer see those icons. I draw:) the place were they're  supposed to be. As you folks can see, it appears when you select a layer and want to resize'em or whatever. SImple ✅ and 🚫. 

I've recently purchased a new 2019 Macbook Pro with specs below.macOS Catalina 10.15.32.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i964 GB 2667 MHz DDR4AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB I'm currently running Photoshop 21.1.1 and when I try to choose the eyedropper tool click and drag outside photoshop to choose a color from the web or anything else on my desktop photoshop isn't recognizing anything outside of photoshop. Anyone else having this issue? 

When using the crop tool on any image on two desktops (identical hardware), the image appears to close (while leaving the tool menus and palette picker sidebar open) and Photoshop freezes. The freeze happens immediately after the tool is used (grabbing a side and moving it.) This is on the latest Creative Cloud Photoshop, but not Beta. Just stable. OS is Windows 11.  

I've just moved over to a new Mac, and I'm finding the behavior of the Photoshop window is not acting like it used to. I'd like to go back to the way it was. I've tried different choices in the settings, but to no avail. I like to use an independent window when I'm working on a file, not tabs (see screenshot). But I'm used to the entire image not scrolling to display the artboard within that window unless I manually resize the window. When the entire image is shown in the window, I don't want to be able to scroll into the artboard. Does that make sense. The screenshot I'm posting shows what I don't want. I'm using Photoshop 2025 on a Mac.

Throughout all time until today my option click usage of the paint brush would allow me to sample and fill my foreground color rapidly.  Today it is suddenly sampling the background color for some unknown reason.  Is there a setting for this that anyone knows about, or is this actually a program bug?   Thanks

Photoshop CC  2024 v25Windows 11Everytime I click a filter in Style Transfer's panel, Photoshop will download it.The thing is that filter's data is already in AppData\Roaming\Adobe\UXP\PluginsStorage\PHSP\25\Internal\com.adobe.nfp.gallery\PluginData.What's even more strange is that if I closed Neural filters panel and reopen it, Photoshop will download any filter I click again in Style Transfer.Is this normal? Thx

When opening .CR3 file from within LRC and sending it to Photoshop it bypasses the Raw convertor opening straight into Photoshop. I have checked I have latest Raw update, latest LRC and latest PS. If I go to the file on the hard drive and open straight to Photoshop it does open the raw convert option.Any suggestions what I am missing?

Hallo,  Ich habe gerade eine PSD-Datei auf Photoshop geöffnet und diese bearbeitet. Konnte diese ganz normal in Farbe und in TIF abspeichern.Im Nachhinein habe ich habe dieses Foto auf Lightroom geladen, wie sonst auch. Dann hat mir Lightroom diese Foto sofort auf ein B&W- Foto abgeändert ohne das ich das wollte und zurückstellen konnte ich das nicht.  Es wäre schön, wenn dieses Problem behoben werden könnte.  Viele Grüße 

This is a "silly" question but, when applying gradients to shapes (Shape layers), as far as I can see, there is no way to control the Start and End points? Or is there? The way the Gradient tool allows? Not that I really "care" to use this method but suppose I want to create a radial gradient shape layer, to paint a sphere and obtain this kind of result (done with the Gradient tool):I would have expected to be able, at least, that the "Move" tool would have come to my rescue the way it does when creating new Gradient Fill layers while this dialog is visible and we have access to all the options :  ... as soon as we move the mouse outside the area of the window, the cursor changes to the Move icon and the gradient can be moved inside the layer -- but not its Start or End point.It's really an academic question I'm asking. With all the changes brought to Photoshop over the recent years, I just want to make sure I'm not missing on a simple option somewhere.Thank you in advance fo

Using a Mac with CC 20.  Used to be that CMD H would hide the marching ants of a selection.  Now it hides Photoshop. What happened?  How do I fix this, or use a different key to hide the ants?

We've temporarilydisabled this filter because of an error.I have been getting that error for about a week now in beta. Scratch reduction is working fine though. 

Hello. When I select the area I draw with the pen tool in Photoshop with ‘make selection’, it selects the entire page. If I select the ‘invert’ option from the menu, it can select the object. There was no such problem before the last two updates. How can I fix it. I can't make multiple selection because of this.

Hey all, I've recently started running into an issue where the Select Subject function from the Magic Wand Tool toolbar creates rectangular artifacts on the borders of the otherwise properly selected subject.   After taking this screenshot, I've used the tool again on the same image (without closing the file or Photoshop) and it worked fine. I've used the tool many times before without issue, and have not changed any of the settings. Since this behaviour is so erratic, I doubt there's much to be done - but perhaps there's some workaround. PS 25.12.0 Release on iMac

Good morning, Since the 2021 update, my photographer workflow has been hugely impacted by a little tweak in Photoshop's functionment: everytime I do something (setting up curves, using an action, a tool, a shortcut...) ; Photoshop stays "focused" in that textbox.It might be the layer name, type, the tool, etc. Before it didn't happen. Now I find myself really annoyed: I must be pressiong the "Esc" / "échap" key 49126 times every day. Of course, having Psd focused on those text boxes prevents it from running shortcuts. How functional. I wondered if you could patch it, it seems to me that it creates way more trouble than it actually helps. Thank you,Martin

Is it not possible to set image compression to LZW when Photoshop stores tif files when the script runs the file? The script I tried kept reporting errors, as follows:   saveOptions.imageCompression = TIFFCompression.LZW;

In addition to the current version on Photoshop I've kept an older version on my computer. I did this because Adobe dropped the Render Lighting Effects from the program and I use it frequently. I bought a new M4 Mac Mini and everything transferred over using Apple's Migration Assistant except Photoshop, both the current and older versions. I can easily download the curent version again, but how can I get the older version?
