I am working to move from an old laptop to new laptop and an old desktop to a new desktop computer. All Windows. When I deactivated the Photoshop CS5 license from my old laptop, it properly activated on my new laptop. Then, when I deactivated the Photoshop CS5 license from my old desktop, it didn’t make a license available for the new desktop. Of course, it no longer works on the old desktop. The Production Premium CS5 bundle was purchased directly from Adobe. It appears in my Adobe account. What is my best plan to get this situation resolved and get Photoshop CS5 working on the new desktop computer?
Yes, I know this is "Legacy" option, however, Save for Web gives more and precise control over images and auto adjusts the dpi saving me a step. It's a big part of our worklfow and Export As. I'd use Export As if it had GIF animation, webp output, etc.The last few versions of Photoshop on PC at least when you go to Save for Web works for a while in a Photoshop session, but then when you try it again, nothing happens, nothing appears on the screen. I then have to shut down all my files and open work and restart Photoshop which is a major time killer. What's the fix for making Save for Web work every time I select it? (No my images are not in 32 bit mode.)Thanks.
Pressing ESC no longer stops an action running in Photoshop. Please fix!
I cannot open PS or PS Beta. I’m on a Mac M2 Max running Tahoe OS. I haven’t opened photoshop in about a month because I am recovering from an injury, however, today I finally went out and took pictures, edited in LR and went to open one in PS and it won’t open.I thought perhaps if I went to the PS app directly that might do the trick but it doesn’t. It won’t open. Neither will PS Beta. I could not do a shift+ctrl+command to reset preferences. However, when I held the shift key only while I opened PS it worked but I can’t use any of my plugins in this case. Anyone know of some issues with this?
Hello, I don't know if it's a normal behavior, but when I use the new "Remove Tool", my memory usage is going crazy : In the task manager it takes 20Go of RAM, and it takes 18Go more on my scratchdisk.Even if I do teeny strokes on an white layer. Here is a video (2min) link to show the PS usage, the task manager, and explorer for the scratchdisk (SSD).https://youtu.be/qToMtrUmm-0I tried to use all the others tools, and the RAM usage is "normal". For example : 50 clicks with spot removal and photoshop uses only 5Go RAM, and 0Go scractchdisk. Is it normal ?Thank you !
I am having a difficulty with the Automate batch function in Photoshop. I don't want to use image processor because I need to upsize images with the new Preserve details 2.0. I create an action: 1 from an open image resize 200% saves as and close. Before I went to the automate batch option I could select the source folder and the destination and it would work perfectly. No more now.I always get this message "There were no source files that could be opened by Photoshop". it is quite an absurd message as I point the source to the folder that contains the images. I know that I have not recorded the open image in the action but this was never necessary as once you selected the folder in the automate batch as a source it would open those files inside and run the action.Has this changed now? I have tried "supress file options dialogs" but same result. Is it now compulsory to also save the open file step so that the automate batch runs correctly the action?. I really think this
Hi, whenever I try to use one of the gradients I've created using Adobe Color, I get the ominous "Could not complete your request because of a program error." message. This happens both with "Apply Gradient" and "Create Gradient Preset" in the Libraries panel. I've encountered this bug both in current Photoshop Beta (Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.5.0 20230412.m.2137 91413a4 arm64) and Photoshop 2023 (Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.4.1 20230418.r.449 53a6c60 arm64). Running macOS Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68). Photoshop User Diagnostic Plugin output is attached for both beta and current Photoshop, also system information from beta.
Is there any way to disable this feature? I routinely convert flat backgrounds into layers by option-double clicking the layer, but that also resizes the whole document window. Older versions of Ps didn’t use to do this.
I have an artboard in Illustrator and a document in Photoshop that are the exact same dimensions. Photoshop’s pixels per inch are 72. When I copy something from Illustrator and paste it into the Photoshop document, it comes in at exactly 1/10 of its actual size. This issue doesn’t occur if I copy something from an old Illustrator document (from several years ago) before they upsized the pasteboard. Using last versions of both apps. macOS 26.4.1.
sometime if an image is not already open in photoshop it wont open the image from bridge or Lightroom export. you have to close photoshop and restart to open a new image
HI. CURRENTLY I AM USING GIGABYTE B760 GAMING MOTHER WITH NVIDIA GE FORCE GT 710 GRAPHICS CARD. BUT PHOTOSHOP 2026 SHOWS ITS INCOMPATIBLE. COULD ANYONE SUGGEST WHICH IS A BETTER GRAPHICS CARD FOR PHOTOSHOP 2026 WITH MOTHERBOARD ?
In the latest version of Photoshop, 27.6.0, exporting photos with Content Credentials no longer allows Adobe Content Authenticity to properly verify those photos. This is a bug. It worked in previous versions. This refers to attaching the credentials to the JPG file, not to the cloud.
Dear Adobe team,I would like to report what appears to be a long-standing accessibility-related bug in Photoshop on macOS.When the macOS pointer size is increased in Accessibility settings, Photoshop also enlarges the brush cursor visually. However, the actual brush size does not change. This creates a mismatch between the visible brush cursor and the real tool size, making precise work difficult or misleading. This is especially problematic because increasing the system cursor size is an accessibility setting. Users who rely on a larger pointer for visibility should not have Photoshop’s brush cursor accuracy affected as a side effect.• Expected behavior:The Photoshop brush cursor should reflect the actual brush size, regardless of the macOS pointer size setting.• Current behavior:The brush cursor is visually enlarged when the macOS pointer size is increased, but the actual brush stroke remains at the original size. This issue has been mentioned by users online for years, so it seems to
This is like other reports, but none of the suggestions in those posts, that we can implement, have resolved our issue. We’ve completely uninstalled all Adobe software, cleaned up all the cruft that the uninstallers don’t remove (Hey, maybe give us a complete uninstall option!). Reinstalled Creative Cloud, and then reinstalled the latest Photoshop 2026. Same problem. Different files, at different resolutions, with and without metadata, all show the same error. We cannot uninstall OneDrive, only pause syncing. Other than Adobe’s Cloud Storage and OneDrive, no other cloud storage is allowed in our (highly regulated) company.None of the several dozen other users, on identical hardware (Apple Silicon, running macOS 26) and identical software (OneDrive included), are having this issue. Here is the Adobe Info from Help...Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.6.0 20260422.r.11 4804c18 arm64 (final, Release)Number of Launches: 2Operating System: Mac OS 26.4.1System architecture: Apple M1 Pro, DOTPROD,
Recent files on PS home page & File>Open Recent Menu of Workspace no longer show file location. This changed within the last few weeks after a recent PS update. Now the homepage shows “On Your Computer”. There may be many versions of a file. W/o this info, it is difficult to choose the correct version.
I have an older Dell PC running Windows 10. I can successfully run Photoshop and Premiere via CC, but because my graphics card is not powerful enough, I can’t run any new PS features, and am forced to use a much older PS version. So … I’d love to switch to Mac. Questions: Can a Mac Mini run all new PS features? Is the graphics card powerful enough? What version of the Mini would be required? Many thanks, Paul
I’ve lined everything up and erased all the edges to where I need the item placed. Everytime I try to blend the layers it merges the bottom layer to being visible and merges the two in a terrible way. I tried to blend a different layer and it did the same. Both layers are RGB. I can’t think what else it could be, I’ve watched loads of tutorials and none of them show this
Ridiculous levels of frustration.Alt-click has stopped selecting area of image when using the clone stamp. Any image, any layer and in images with ony background layer. I am using a yoga 12 with wacom digitizer, Win 10 x64, i5 with 8gb Ram Problem occurred previously and a rollback of an apparently unrelated software installation cured it. Have tried (as per plethora of suggestions): reset toolreset preferencesuninstall recent software x3reinstall Photoshop CCin Clone source box "clipped" is selected but layer title does not appear when trying to select. Brush dynamics set to off target does appear when alt-clicking but on trying to subsequently clone error message pops up "Could not use the clone stamp because the area to be cloned could not be defined. (Alt click to define a source point)"Any other ideas??? All assistance greatly appreciated.
Using either Beta or the latest version of Photoshop, the Save for Web feature is sometimes there, but mostly not. It might be there for the first image, but after that, there’s a pop-up “...system cannot find the path specified”. Using ctr/alt/shift/save doesn’t open the dialog box and it’s missing in the dropdown menu. Windows 11
I use a macbook pro, OS version 15.0.1. Adobe Photoshop 26..0.0 In adobe, when i try to do an AI generative fill i get the error messag "We've encountered an issue and can't complete your request at this time. Please try again later." I tried a different internet connection, still no luck. It's been like this for two days - since the last update. Thanks.
I need to update a poster from 2016. I used a lot of PostScript fonts because they were industry standard. I have Photoshop (Mac) version 27.6.0. I open the psd file and get the prompt about some text layers need to be updated. I click “No.” and proceed to go to the text to see what font it was that I need to swap to an OpenType. I cannot, for the life of me, find the option to show the fonts missing in the psd file. I see the “warning sign” in the layer menu, but it doesn’t tell me what the font was.“Manage Missing Fonts” does nothing when I click on it. There’s no menu/submenu, nothing. From doing some searching, it was revealed that “Photoshop doesn’t keep the name of the original font, it substitutes it with the default font.” You forced us to switch from PostScript fonts (didn’t even offer us compensation for the thousands we spent on industry standard fonts, but instead jacked up the price of CreativeCloud) and you don’t have functionality in the app to tell me what the font was
