Hello! I’ve tried several different things (up-to-date graphics drivers, disabling Open CL/ GPU Compositing, resetting preferences, even turning off Use Graphics Processor which felt like a last-ditch effort to me) but my entire computer crashes at one point or another when using the Select and Mask screen. The weird thing is, it’s not even when that window first launches, and I had successfully used it a minute prior. I’ll attach computer specs below as well as the .dmp files since I don’t have a crash report.
Ever since I updated to the latest version of photoshop, the select and mask tool is giving me weird results. It is recognizing the subject in the photo, but it is recognizing it in the wrong location. Its as if it is selecting where the subject was before the image was moved to a different spot on the canvas. Photos attached.
Hey all,I'm a novice Photoshopper and hoping a kind soul can help. I have searched for this answer but cannot get it right. I believe this is simple - and hope someone can describe clear steps to solve the issue! 1) I have a text box. It is a three letter acronym. I have selected size/font etc.2) I wish to make the text itself thicker - not bigger, or further spaced apart - simply, thicker. Can anyone tell me how to do that? It's just a text box with 3 letters in it. Which I need to make thicker. Thanks!
I would like to know when Camera Raw will support OnePlus 13 RAW files?
What is this error? I'm using Remove Tools. I wait about two minutes for it to process and start working, and then it sometimes displays this error. They’ve already screwed up Adobe Premiere, and now they’ve gone after Photoshop! Enough is enough! First your export wasn't working, and now Remove Tools isn't working.
The error is “we couldn’t open your document. Please reload the page or sign in with another account”
Photoshop 26.1 Windows 19045.3324 Step 1: Open a test image Step 2: Make a small selection with the polyganal lasso tool. Step 3: Click Generative Fill, then click Generate Expected result: The mask for the resulting Generative Fill layer should match the original selection Actual result: The mask for the resulting Generative Fill layer expands to be larger than the original selection in an octagon shape with feathered edges.
I’m trying to follow some of the youtube tutorials to change a photo into an oil painting style. I create an alpha channel (50% or 30% grey), make a selection based on the alpha channel, reselect the RGB channel but when I prompt to "oil paint" the creations have nothing to do with my photo.Seems to only be a problem in the new model and not the older models. Is there a reason for this?
The Generative fill doesn’t respect a selection. It used to but it doesn't anymore. I tried on diferent computers and versions, also updated to the latest version ( 26.4.1 ). When an area is selected without any feathering the Generative Fiil generatation goes beyond the selected area. Is there an option to stop this behaviour so it works like it used to do?Thanks
Overview: Add the ability to select objects in a document using a natural language text prompt — for example: "blue shirt", "all yellow cars", "the person on the left". This would allow selecting specific objects by their visual description rather than manually using lasso, color range, or other existing tools.Requested functionality:Select a single object by text description Select multiple matching objects simultaneously (e.g. "all red apples")Why this is different from existing tools:Select Subject — selects the dominant subject automatically, no control over which object Color Range — selects by color only, not by object type or context Object Selection Tool — requires manual click/drag, no text inputNone of the current tools allow describing what you want to select in natural language.Use case example: A retoucher working on a product photo wants to isolate a specific clothing item — for example a brown jacket — without manually tracing it. Typing "brown jacket" should produce an
I removed the Nik Collection 8 from my Mac but the still show up in the Creative Cloud panel (Plugin) as well as in Photoshop. How can i remove the entirely. Seems they’re just still menu items.regardsReimund
With AVIF being supported in modern web browsers the need for AVIF as a save as option or export to option would be very helpful. For those of us that still use Photoshop as a primary graphic editor (even for simple web sites) this will become more and more important as JPG's are replaced.
After cropping out the layer outside of the original image, GE should fill in the blanks. It is telling me to drag out the canvas first but I’ve already done so.I attached a screenshot.
I often taking HDR screenshots on XBox Series X gaming console and on my PC with 4K HDR monitor! Those pictures look amazing and they are higher display quality than usual PNG or JPG images. Can’t compare. But I can’t edit them in Photoshop for what I’m paying Adobe CC subscription each month. I hope that Adobe responsible team for this feature be able to make. Photoshop can edit or make some HDR file formats but not a .JXR format files.I would like that developers, implement JXR files support in Photoshop.Thanks.
Macbook Air M5, 25mb ram, 2tb hard drive with 1.25tb space on the drive.Photoshop 27.5.0All works fine opening raw files from a Canon R5 (.CR3 format) but when I try to use Super Resolution in Camera Raw window it stops with an error: “Could not open “_123456.CR3” because the file-format module cannot parse the file.” I have used super resolution with other CR3 files in previous versions on an M1 Macbook Air with no issues at all. Is this a bug or have you guys changed something?
When selecting a menu object (drop down menu, a slider with number in field (such as the crop aspect ratio menu or the feather amount in Select and Mask) or a check box (like the preview check box in Select and Mask), the menu object stays highlighted after clicking it. I have to hit Enter to remove the highlight. This happens only on Windows 10 and Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.2.0 20251213.r.15 e3408e7 My Mac Pro 2013 running Photoshop 2024 does not have this issue. On my Mac the operation goes like:Select Menu item-> Menu item does not remain highlighted-> can switch to next key or function. Windows, Select Menu Object-> try to switch to another key (such as arrows or space bar),→ previously selected menu object stays highlighted Here is a link of the video screenshot showing the issuehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1rJlQ-yKC7FC9RLacCmbUX5VKuodGEkeh/view?usp=sharing To explain the video: When I try to use the up and down arrows to nudge after I select the crop ratio, the me
Hi guys,It often happens that when I have a layer selected and switch focus to its mask to paint, if I make a mistake and press Undo, the focus automatically jumps back to the main layer. If I don't notice it immediately, I start painting on the layer itself instead of the mask.My colleagues and I all face this same issue. The "Undo" command shouldn't change the selection target. While this behavior might be handy when going back many steps in history, it’s very annoying when you are simply painting on a mask.I’ve noticed that this happens frequently, though not every single time. Could we have an option in the Preferences to toggle this behavior?Something like: [ ] Include focus/selection change in Undo history
I’ve been using the “Select People” feature in Camera Raw since it was introduced, and it’s always worked well for me until recently. Now it has completely stopped working.Every time I try to use it, it processes for a moment and then returns the error: “Unable to select people in this photo.” This happens on every image I try, even simple headshots with a single person clearly facing the camera.I’ve already tried updating Photoshop and Camera Raw, uninstalling and reinstalling both, and updating my operating system. None of that has fixed the issue. I’ve also confirmed that all other masking tools (object, background, sky, etc.) are working as expected. It’s only “Select People” that fails. For reference, I’m running Adobe Photoshop v27.5.0 on a 2020 iMac (3.6 GHz 10-core Intel Core i9).This is a feature I rely on regularly, so it’s been incredibly frustrating to lose it without any clear reason.Has anyone else run into this issue or found a fix?
When I first reported this problem I was told it was because my wacom tablet was old, my computer was out of date etc. Now I have a brand new computer and a brand new wacom tablet and still if I am not careful my clone tool goes automatically alined when I select an area to be cloned the box ticks itself I can see it happen if I accidentally tap the pen twice in quick succession to the tablet when making a selection. Now this may be okay for you younger people with your steady as a rock hands but no matter how careful I am this is still happening by accident to me. Some may see it as a feature me I would just like to be able to turn it off.
Feature request: Quick 1:1 scale resizing using known measurementsIt would be extremely useful if Photoshop had a simple, discoverable way to resize an image to true 1:1 scale based on a known real‑world measurement. For example, a user could use the Ruler Tool (or similar) to measure a known object in the image (such as a physical ruler), manually enter the real‑world length, and have Photoshop automatically scale the image accordingly—either with resampling or by adjusting resolution only. This would greatly improve workflows for digitisation, archival imaging, product photography, and technical documentation, where accurate physical scale is essential.
Photoshop Wont let me Double Click into my text box anymore and I have to use the thumbnail, which throws a wrench into my work flow. I have to think the only thing could be is that this only. happens when using artboards? there or a few other things like that and I've noticed that the only difference that's obvious to me right now is that I'm using art boards and I wasn't before. Could that be it?
Tight label edges trip up Photoshop's selection tools because the software struggles distinguishing fine fabric detail from background pixels. Switching to the pen tool instead of quick selection fixes most close-cut problems immediately. Refining edges manually under Select and Mask also recovers detail most automatic tools destroy. Hello, I am a CTE and Art teacher in Seattle and we are currently struggling with the Photoshop tutorials. I am using Google Chrome, on desktop computers newly purchased by my district. I am having issues with students seeing the “learn” button and being able to access the same tutorials in the same way which is key for teaching a class of 30 students. We’ve tried resetting the workspace, next I am going to try Purge and purging all. What else do you recommend? IT support in my district does not know how to use the program…
