Why can i not copy and paste one file to another file it makes no sense. [cursing removed] why is web so terrible for functionality - subscription delete pending

Hi guys!It's weeks I can't align pictures in photoshop. I usually take pictures with a tripod to avoid vibrations, but in any case that workflow normally creates some disalligned images. I used to use the Modify > Align levels option. Since weeks ago unfortunately the aligning method doesn't seems to give nice results. I mean, before the process the levels are quite aligned, after the process they loose their positions and increase their differences instead of decreasing it.The image attached shows a moment just after the automatic aligning process. I though it was a bug problem connected with Photoshop 2025 but It looks identical in the 2026 version.Do you have any advices?

Hi everyone, sorry if I ask this question again...I know this topic has been discussed many times, but I can’t remember the post where there was maybe a solution... Because in Photoshop, if I do "Export As" from the Layers panel, it exports transparent layers cropped to their opaque pixels, and it doesn’t keep the overall canvas size or the position? Is there a way to export PNG from "Export As" in the Layers panel while maintaining the canvas/frame size and the opaque element’s position relative to it? If I set the canvas size in the export panel, Photoshop centers the opaque layer within the frame, so it doesn’t keep the actual position.With Photoshop 2021, using "Export As..." from the Layers panel, it was possible to export layers keeping their position and canvas size (if the layer had a full layer mask, which was an acceptable workaround). But with Photoshop 2026, it’s no longer possible—it always crops layers to their opaque pixels and doesn’t keep the position on the canvas or

I want to combine three images (each 300 px by 500 px) into a single long portrait image, keeping their original dimensions intact. The goal is to automatically align them vertically, one below the other, as though they are stitched together. While "Load Files into Stack" allows me to import them as a single file without altering their size, I still have to manually enlarge the canvas and align the images myself. When I have just three images, it's easy to manage them, but it becomes frustrating when I have 20 images to deal with. On the other hand, "Contact Sheet" somewhat accomplishes this task, but it requires me to calculate the total height and ends up changing the original size while also leaving gaps between the images.  

Hi, my monitor is 1920 x 1200 pixels.  I can't determine how to change the Pshop screen to fit that size.  The screen is too large in the vertical dimension.  I've tried disabling Essentials and re-enabling, but that had no effect.  Under View I can't toggle "fit on screen," which may not have changed it anyway.  Searching with google all I found were outdated instructions, as in "press the green button."I'm using Windows 11 pro on a Dell Inspiron with an I7 core.

I'm working in Photoshop 2026, I'm linked to key elements in my library and using layer comps to cycle through my various layouts. I'm repeated updating layer comps and saving, no matter what I do at some point various layouts revert back to an older configuration. I saved it as a new files still doing the same thing. I am locking the layers after undating layer comps AND saving, files still keep moving around. This is not happenting to all of the layer comps just some. Its beyond frustrating to keep having work revert. HELP.

I have been using Photoshop for a bit now. Prior to the recent update, I never had a single issue with running Photoshop. I am not sure of the version, but the prior startup photo was a parrot. This version is a person in a rainbow dress with clouds behind? Anyways, immediately upon my computer updating to the latest Photoshop I have been having nothing but crashing issues. On both my laptop and my gaming PC. My gaming PC has an Nvidia 16gb graphics card, and 16gb of RAM. My keyboard displays the RAM usage. Gaming on Baulders Gate 3 I only ever get up to around 75% of my RAM usage. This new photoshop update now always has me sitting at 85-90%. Once it spikes to 95%, Photoshop crashes and I lose all my work. I thought that maybe it was a driver issue but everything is fully updated with my Intel center. And since my TUF laptop starting having the exact same crashing issue since this new update?? It must be this update. How is it that my PC never crashes when gaming at full gra

So often here, the advice that solves the problem is disable Use Modern Interface in the prefs. Aside from some adjustment layer issues, I don't see that much visual difference, except that the old-fashioned interface actually works.   I couldn't find anything from Adobe's site, except that it exists. I see in the prefs that it is based on Adobe Spectrum. Searching Adobe for What is Spectrum tells me it is an editing framework that will make my editing more "Joyful". I would prefer efficient. But I still can't find any information on what it is visually (it's a GUI), and why it is superior to the old one, which works.   I hate to sound like one of those guys, but, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.        

Ever since the redesigned font menu was implemented, I can search for fonts easily and use the arrow keys to highlight a font, but hitting enter closes the font menu without applying that font to the selected text. I have to click the font I want with my mouse. Will this be fixed?

I'm trying to make this one. First, I made a square on prefered dimensions. On both side, I created a triangle. I then had to created two lines to extend the one side of the triangle. Lastly another line to connect the extended lines from the triangle. But something is of. I can't get the lines to meet perfectly. Also, when trying to put another color on the top section. Both the top and bottom section is colored. So how to I gain 100% controll over all four parts?I tried making a shape (the top one) with the pen took, but I wasn't able to manually adjust the lengthts. Any help please.

This has been going on now for probably 2 years, across multiple versions of Photoshop and also with new installs of Windows 10, and Windows 11.  After my PC has been sitting for awhile or sleeping, the first time I try to opan any image in Photoshop, it freezes.  The whole PC freezes.  It stays frozen for about 10 or 15 seconds, then Photoshop just closes with no kind of warning or error message and the computer starts functioning again.  So the first time I start working in the morning, I expect Photoshop to freeze.  Then more recently, Photoshop has began to freeze during launch.  It doesn't get past the splash screen.  I'm not sure but I might have a clue about why that is happening.  When I look at the resource manager, Photoshop begins to capture nearly 100% of available system ram during start up.  This is with the latest version of Photoshop.  My PC has 32gb of ram.  I managed to get Photoshop open and I changed the ram set

I use a non commercial licence for adobe cloud software and when i try to use 'partner sites' for generative fill in photoshop i get a message saying i need to upgrade my licence?   1. is this correct? i have read somewhere else on here it is an admin function?2. how can i remedy it if not correct? i find it really confusing the whole firefly credits things...

Version 27.1.0 Windows 11Still in my free trial mode. 2 more days. 1. Select File2. Select New3. Partial new doument dialog box opens. Most of it blacked out. Will not work.Frustrated. YouTube short says utilize legacy new document interface. I perfer to have this simple option working properly. That may cause problems later. Just guessing. Have not seen this issue on community board.

I am BEYOND frustrated after installing and reinstalling PS 2026 on my MAC with plenty of storage.  It's running like dial up and shutting down.  I need answers and you gotta talk to me like I'm 10.  I comprehend better with verbal guidance not written.  HELP!!!

So since you keep changing Photoshop you have broken the basics of it. Again...Image size window. Click off the resample button and change the resolution BUT it still changes the image dimensions to match the new resolution I input! WHY?! Its acting as though the resample button is clicked on. This and the indesign window bar not being mouse responsive is driving me insane today...

Hi, I am currently using Photoshop 27.1.0 on MacOS Tahoe 26.1. I wanted to experiment with ways to prepare an image for silkscreen printing, but then I stumbled upon this problem: when using a gradient map adjustment layer, I cannot use transparent stops anymore. I find this really annoying. It seems there is a workaround in this post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/missing-opacity-option-in-gradient-editor/m-p/13877588 but I find it to be very confusing and unintuitive. Please can you just let me use a transparent stop in an adjustment layer? I don't know as which conversation type I should categorize this, but I'll choose "bug" since if I remember correctly, this function used to be there, but now isn't working anymore. Sorry if it's the wrong category.

In photoshop, with the clone stamp, if you inadvertently double click while pressing Alt/Option to set the clone source, align will get checked.  I do that constantly, always unaware that I'm doing it, and always having to uncheck the align box.  Is it possible to set some parameter that will disable (not turn off but disable) the align feature?  I'm guessing there isn't, but I thought I'd give it a shot.
