We are pleased to announce the release of Creative Cloud desktop app version 6.11! The update is being delivered gradually over the coming days, so it may take a little while to appear for your account. Top features in this release1. Home 2.0 enhancementsImage files in Recent files now include "Edit in Firefly" and "Open in Boards" options that take you straight to the web so you can keep working. If Recent files are empty or hidden, you can upload an image right from Home to start editing in Firefly, and you can browse the new Firefly Community Gallery in the Apps hub.2. File enhancementsOpen an image in the one-up view in Files and you'll see suggested actions, such as converting the image to video or generating a composition reference. You can also now choose and change the default folder used for local storage.  3. Refreshed Benefits tabThe Benefits tab has a new look, with indicators showing which perks are included in your plan. This time, we're zooming right in on a single, brilliant feature, the Intertwine tool, and using it to weave something through text. THE CHALLENGE: WEAVE SOMETHINGTake a word, your initials, or a monogram, and weave something through it, a ribbon, a vine, a strand of wool, so it laces over and under the letters like it was always tangled there.Need a spark? Pick a lane, or invent your own:A monogram, your initials with a ribbon or cord woven through them. A word, laced through with a vine, a string of fairy lights, or a scarf. A single big letter, with an illustrated creature or plant winding through it. A woven knot or emblem, skip the letters entirely, and interlace shapes into a Celtic-style badge.WHAT TO INCLUDEThe letters or shape, set big enough to actually weave something through. TL;DR:Inactive content no longer has to sit in Adobe cloud storage indefinitely. Administrators can now set how long unmodified content of active users is kept, and the system permanently deletes it once that period ends, by configuring a Content Retention Policy for Inactive Content, which is now available in the Adobe Admin Console. Admins choose how long unmodified content is kept of active users, using a preset (60 days, 180 days, or 1 year), a custom duration, or Retain permanently. The system permanently deletes content when the period ends.   What is new Content Retention Policy for Inactive Content is now available in the Adobe Admin Console. Instead of relying on manual cleanup, admins define a retention period and the system applies it automatically, based on when an active user’s content was last modified. This helps organizations: Reduce storage costs by clearing content that has stayed unmodified past your chosen period  Meet compliance and regulatory retention requirements consistently, without relying on manual cleanup  Remove the operational overhead of finding and deleting inactive content at scale How it works Go to Storage > Overview in the Admin Console and select Inactive content policy  In the Set retention policy for inactive content dialog, choose how long to keep inactive content: 60 days, 180 days (marked recommended), 1 year, Custom duration, or Retain permanently  If you select Custom duration, you can set any period from 30 days to 10 years  Select Save, review the changes on the confirmation screen, then select Confirm What counts as a modificationFiles  Any user-generated content is considered modified when:  It is edited by an end user  A new file version is created by the system  Any user-generated content is not considered modified when it is:  Renamed  Viewed  Shared  Commented on  Converted  Moved or copied  Folders  Any file created or added to a folder result in a modification of the folder  Any file copied into a folder causes the modified date of the destination folder to change  Any file moved into or out of a folder causes both the source and destination folders' modified dates to be changed  Things to know before you set a policy If you change the retention period, the system recalculates deletion dates from the date the content was last modified  Any change to a retention policy is recorded in the audit logs, and all system admins and storage admins receive an email notification when a policy is set, changed, or turned off Learn more Manage Adobe storage in the Admin Console (see the section Set content retention policy)  Audit logs (Track user assignments and events with the audit log) If you found this helpful, please click the Like icon in the bottom-left corner of this post.Have questions about this update? Analyzer in Acrobat is now HIPAA ready. Eligible customers can use it for applicable workflows involving Protected Health Information (PHI) once the required Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and product enablement steps are complete. Here's what that means and how to get started:  1. What Analyzer in Acrobat does Analyzer in Acrobat extracts structured, auditable data from documents at scale. You define the attributes you want to capture, such as contract values, dates, or terms, and Analyzer extracts them across a collection of documents. You can then review, validate, and export the results. 2. How this helps Pharma and Life Sciences organizations Document-heavy teams in pharma and life sciences work with agreements, study documentation, and regulated records.  Here are two examples where HIPAA readiness applies: Clinical trial document review: Extract protocol terms, consent provisions, and reporting obligations from clinical trial agreements and study documentation. Example attributes: consent version, protocol deviations, site ID.  PHI records compliance review: Extract structured data from records that contain PHI to support regulatory review. Example attributes: PHI redaction status, applicable regulation, review status. These examples are illustrative, and there are many more ways to use Analyzer once HIPAA readiness is enabled. 3. Getting started HIPAA readiness isn't automatically enabled with product access. To request it, contact your Adobe Sales representative with your Account ID and a note that you intend to process PHI in Analyzer. Remove Related Elements (AKA Project Trace Erase) extends the Remove Tool beyond the selected object to clean up the evidence it was ever there—removing shadows, reflections, footprints, splashes, fluid ripples/wakes, lens flare, smoke, steam, and more  —for a cleaner, more natural result. This feature is in the public beta as of the October 1, 2026 beta release.Simply brush over the object you want to remove using the Remove Tool. When Remove Related Elements is enabled, Photoshop will automatically find and remove the traces of that object through-out the image. This helps create a more complete and realistic result without requiring separate steps or additional cleanup. Remove Related Elements option in the Remove ToolHow to:Select the Remove Tool from the Tool Bar In the Contextual Task Bar, click on the "Selected Area" drop-down then choose the "Related elements" button.   Brush over the object or person you want to remove. (Do NOT brush over just the smoke, shadow, flare etc.) The Remove operation occurs on mouse-up (unless the "Remove after each stroke" option is off; click Remove in the task bar or enter/return on your keyboard). The results are on a fully regenerated pixel layer   Enhance. Optional next step: Click the Enhance button in the Contextual Task Bar to use a customized upscaler to sharpen the results. The sharpening results will be included in (baked-in) the Remove Tool edit layer. (There will not be an additional separate sharpening layer) Optional: Enhance for sharper details. In those cases, you should see faster save times, particularly for large files where there is enough work to benefit from parallel processing.⚠️ Avoid Data LossUse Save As when saving so you're working with a copy while you're testing this. Go to firefly.adobe.com, select Boards, then Create board > New board (how boards work). Plan your assets first: each character and a background. Generate your first character. Select Generate image in the Task Bar. We use Gemini 3.1 (w/ Nano Banana 2), a tall aspect ratio, and 4K. Write a structured prompt: Subject is required, while pose, backdrop, lighting, color, framing, and exclusions are optional controls. Only add what you need, then drag your pick onto the board. Lock consistency with a character sheet. Generate four full-body views in a single frame, all in the same neutral A-pose, on a clean backdrop with even lighting (Widescreen). Load your character as a reference with the eyedropper. References are numbered, Image 1, Image 2, and so on, and you use those numbers in your prompt. Build a background and compare models. Run the same prompt through several models and arrange the results in a grid on the board (partner models in Boards). We compare Gemini 3.1, FLUX.2 [pro], and GPT Image 2. Then load the sheets plus your chosen result and ask for the figures on a plain grey background, with bodies completed from the sheets (Tall). They need access to premium features and generative credits; availability varies by region, and it's up to you to judge whether either suits a project headed for publication or sale.
