Photoshop

Hey folks,I'm on the latest version of Photoshop CC (21.1.2), latest Windows 10. When I'm using the Pencil tool, and accidentally press down Ctrl, it switches to the Move tool & enables auto-select (or if I have auto-select enabled to begin with, begins a rectangular selection.)This can be annoying because my fingers hover over Ctrl + Z when I work. So I might try to draw a line, and end up moving the whole layer. Is there any way to disable this behavior? I can't find it in Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts. Thank you in advance to any responders!

Desde el día de ayer, con la última actualización de Photoshop Beta, al abrir la aplicación se muestra una ventana con una lista de validaciones entre las cuales, una en rojo dice: Nivel de Funcion 11.00 disponible, nivel de funcion 12.00 necesario. Qué problemas me puede ocasionar esto? porque cerrando dicha ventana puedo trabajar normal en la aplicación. Saludos.

Dear all,I need a little help... I have tried to change the font size in edit - preferences - interface - UI Font Size. It is already set for "Large", however the font size is extremely smal and it is almost impossible to navigate in the program..My screen is set for 2880x1620.I have tried to change the font size several times and restarting the program, with no effect... what am I doing wrong..??Please help... 🙂KRPaul-Henrik

I use Photoshop 2024 because 2025 is too problematic. For some time now, every time I start it, a window pops up asking me to update. I have disabled update notifications in Adobe Creative Cloud. How do I get rid of this?

If your using the crop tool in "WxHxResolution" mode, if width and height values are populated but the resolution box is empty, the generative fill dialogue doesnt appear. I know its not the proper way to use the crop tool as such but it did just confuse me for 10 mins or so as to why it wasnt generating the areas to be filled.

Hi, I've been a photographer for the last 16 years. Using adobe products the entire time and i've never come across this issue. My process is importing raw images from my camera, pulling those into photomechanic for a quick cull, then pulling the raw images into Lightroom. In light room, I do all of my color calibrations and any exposure problems are fixed. I then export them as jpeg with the sRpg color profile. From there, I usually run them through a photoshop plug in that does skin softening for me. I have it set up as an action.. and the only thing I do in photoshop is delete background people or add magical looking elements into some of my children's photography.  Since the update, I am having an issue. The image leaving  light room as a jpeg is opening extremely warm in photoshop.  While in photoshop, if I open Camera raw the image looks exactly like it did in light room.  Exporting the images to shoot proof and downloading them on a different computer. Hi all! Recently my company got new printers, but now my prints look ridiculous. When i first started using photoshop a few months ago, you all knew what to do to get the best prints. So could you maybe help me out once again? I use rendered pixel based image's in a booklet style (yes i know photoshop isnt the best tool for this, next month ill get InDesign). But for the remainder of the month ill still have to print, so does anyone know the best settings for my new printer? Its the "kyocera taskalfa 2554ci". And these are my print settings: Apologies its not in english. But i cant change that within a few minutes. Thanks already! -Nick

After the latest update to PS 26.4.1 Photoshop crashes in the middle of launch everytime. I can't even get as far to check preferences. My operating system is Mac Sequoia 15.3.1 (24D70)

Hi All, I was working with a client yesterday discussing how much disappointment he gets when converting his Prophoto files to sRGB. He's a bicycle photographer. Sometimes those bike frames are pretty bright colours. Working on a new MacBook with macOS Ventura and an Eizo Coloredge connected.  He tells me the Eizo calibration looks correct  Photoshop version 24.7.0 - I tested PS v 23.5.5 and that does it too   We've been discussing how disappointing sRGB can sometimes be when containing these bright colours and his maybe using P3 given that most of the customers view on handhelds, risky I know - if folk view it colourmanaged browsers on a desktop. Anyway that was our start point, then we did some tests. Maybe we discuss the P3 colourspace business here later.   So, the softproofing issue.   A: Prophoto image, soft proof to sRGB, RelCol, BPC on - loses some colour as one would expect, in this example not too much. Hey guys! Few minutes ago I finished project ready to print. I have to save files for printing house, and I have small problem. Enabled fIles extensions are: TIFF, raw, jps, jpg, mpo, psb. I need TIFF but there is a limit =4GB. My project is bigger. Is the any way to save bigger files in TIFF? If not the best extension will be...? JPG?

Hello, I'm looking for a good Hardware Monitor Calibration Tool and I bought the Datacolor Spyder X Pro, but it doesn't seem to work with the latest MAC IOS. Does anyone have another tool that they recommend? thanks, -J

How can I change my title and subtitle to a diagonal version, as on the bigger graphic?

  Mac neuste Version Bildbearbeitung:Beim Bearbeiten eines Bildes wird die Fläche weiss, wenn ich mit der Maus darüberfahre um zu bearbeiten. Gehe ich weg, kommt das Bild wieder mit den Veränderungen. Den laufenden Arbeitsprozess sieht sieht man nicht.Was ist das Problem? Aktualisieren funktioniert auch nicht.

Every time I press Shift+Ctrl+W to export my file it shows "An Unknown error occurred" in preview section and it is not file specific it is occurring since yesterday night I  using Windows 10 Pro and Photoshop version 21.0.2.57

How can a layer in a Photoshop file have nothing in it, (no pixels, nothing, not even 1 pixel with 1% opacity) and still have layer bounds of the full canvas?  In that there is an inconsistancy - when I Select All and try to Transform it I get the errorCould not transform the selected pixels because the slected area is empty. Yet doing the doing the same - just a transform (without Select All first) - will select the whole image for a transform?Duplicating said layer and merging down, and transforming will result in the error. Nauturally, i can't attach said PSD as proof.  Further to the above I've not yet been able to detect this "empty layer " LayerBounds or selecting pixels, or try/catch copy pixels.. What is going on?    

Bonsoir nous sommes maintenant en 2025 lorsque je vous écrit.Après de nombreuses tentatives je ne parviens toujours pas à comprendre pourquoi Adobe n'a pas résolu tous les problèmes rencontrés avec le lasso polygonal alors que les années précédentes aucun problème avec cet outil !Réinitiliasisation ou pas et autres tentatives que l'on a eu la gentilesse de m'apporter j'ai toujours des soucis.Je n'en ai aucun lorsque Adobe me fait payer l'abonnement !Alors pourquoi cet outil refuse les retours arrière milliairds de Dieux  ????Marre de cet outil qui ne posait aucun problème !Fatigue ce truc à la fin m.... !Adddoooooobe ! Alors c'est bien gentil vos I.A quand cet outil lui ne fonctionne pas  !Il faut désinstaller et ré installer Photoshop CC 2025 c'est ça ? Alors comment faire ?!Georges

G’day!  I have a vague memory of having seen a video/tutorial about Photoshop (or possibly some other Adobe application) in which text was edited in a separate text editor window.  Does anybody recall whether such an option does exist in Photoshop by default and, if so, what the shorcut to raise the editor is?    Regards,  Pfaffenbichler 

Hi,I have a concern pertaining to GPU usage on my Mac. It just all happened after my Adobe Photoshop and Bridge automatically updated. I edit photos almost everyday and to my great surprise, I get this prompt message saying "CameraRaw requires GPU acceleration to edit photos". When checking other apps subscribed just like the Adobe Lightroom, it works smoothly and fine. Can someone relate? Anyone can help me out? Thanks in advanced!

Buenos días! Desde hace unos días estoy experimentando una demora de 5 minutos para iniciar PHOTOSHOP (2025).  He considerado que el error/demora del inicio, se debe a la carga de pinceles que hice anteriormente.   Debido a esto, he borrado los pinceles y utilice Creative Cleaner tool, he restaurado preferencias, etc. Pero la pantalla de carga se congela en LEYENDO PINCELES de todas maneras, pese a que ya no tengo pinceles en la libreria. Ya he intentado de todo pero la demora continua.  Gracias VERSION PHOTOSHOP 26.4.1 RYZEN 560016GB RAM  

Using Photoshop when I use a tool to circle an object pick an adjustment layer and then feather the mask a strange random pattern appears in the layer or another layer that has a feathered mask. This problem has been consistent for over a year on two computers using Photoshop CC current version with a PC. The problem happens very soon after I complete the layer and start another task. To remove the pattern I have to delete that layer. Any help to resolve this would be appreciated.

Hi there, could someone please help me? I am trying to export an image I have edited with hard mix selected but when exporting it doesn't apply to the image. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. 

Hola, caundo estoy usando alguna herramienta de photoshop se interrumpe por el cursor del mouse, cuando estoy usando alguna herramienta como la pluma o el pincel y paso por algun lugar en especifico del documento la herramienta se quita y aparece el cursor y no puedo usar la herramienta de una forma continua y eficiente

Since i updated to MacOS Sonoma small black borders have appeard around my layers in Photoshop. My guess is this is a bug. Or is there a small setting for this hiding somewhere?  Best,Axel
