What is the difference in Bridge metadata between: 'description' and 'description writer'. I fill text and data about the photo in at 'description', but there is no way to see this in lightroom when I want to print a contactsheet. in LR only 'description writer' pops up. I use the keywords as well under de contact print, but would like to see the description text as well.

I want to use the GB keyboard on my mac, and this one only, so not use the US one, as I want my hashtags and Pound signs to be in the correct place. In Mac keyboard settings, I have deleted US as an import source, whoich then completely removes the US keyboard. Things work fine, until I open an image in photoshop, then the US keyboard returns, and is then the default across the system, which is incredibly frustrating. For some reason, opening Photoshop restores the previously deleted keyboard. I know it is Photoshop doing this, and I can physically see the US keyboard reappear in the top menu bar as Photoshop opens. In Photoshop settings, I can only see one place to adjust language, in Interface. Here there is the option to change UI language, however International English is the only option available. Any suggestions to stop Photoshop interfering with my Mac system settings?Thanks.

Bonjour, j'ai beau chercher un moyen de faire défiler les effets des LUTs de manière instantanée, sur mon calcque de correspondance couleur, rien n'y fait : il faut qu'à chaque fois j'active le LUT pour le voir, alors que j'aimerais que cela fontionne comme les options de fusions des calques. Comment faire ? J'utilise Photoshop 2024 sur macos Ventura 13.7.2

When a previously-saved selection is on screen and I rotate the image, the selection disappears. I can get it back by loading the selection, but I'm hoping I can skip that step and have the selection rotate with the image. Is this possible?

Today, I restored my Mac computer from an earlier backup. Now, when trying to open a file from the online creative cloud, it is no longer available to navigate to.  Any idea how to fix that? -Ron

I encountered a problem when using Level Adjustment in Photoshop 26.2. In the past, I could use the tool to set white point, but now there is a problem. Is there any solution that can be provided?

Per the title, my transform tool is not working."Show transform controls" is on. Grabbing the pinpoints to scale and it will not resize the image. As a matter of fact I'll click the image, and the transform box appears, however when I click the pin points the tool and layer will unhighlight in their respective workplaces. I pressed the edit tab for free transfom and clicked skew/distort and still nothing. 

When I turn "maintain aspect ratio" on, snap-to-guide does not works when doing a free transform; when I turn "maintain aspect ratio" off, snap-to-guide works fine.  I can do this mid-transform and see the difference immediately. I've got all the "snap-to" options checked--obviously, otherwise it would not work with maintain aspect ratio off.  I've tried various combinations of these, as suggested by other postings, and restarted PS between... no difference.  I've tried this on multiple systems and am getting the same result. I'm on the latest PS version, 22.5.1.  

I want the left boot to match the right one and no matter what I do, it won't work. Is this possible? I can always select both boots and making matching new ones but I really like the one on the right!

Hi all,First time posting, but I'm frustrating myself beyond belief and it seems like I'm missing something simple.  I'll start off by explaining what I'm trying to do.   I'm currently working on some overlays for photographs.  Long story short, I use them for spotmyphotos which allows me to share photos immediately as I take them and it also applies the overlay I've created.  Because I will be taking photos both vertical and horizontal I need to create 2 overlays.  This is my horizontal overlay.   My attempt is to make this file vertical without creating another overlay.  I'm trying to adjust my canvas size to 6x9 inches.  When I click "ok" my canvas does not change.  I actually can't tell it made a vertical canvas until I click on the "crop" tool.  Do I have something "checked" in a box that isn't allowing me to see the canvas size change without clicking on the crop tool? When I click on the crop tool, i

iMac Retina 5K, 27”, 2019Mac OS Sonoma 14.3Photoshop 25.4Workspace: Essentials (default). I don’t use the Application Frame. Up until the latest update, the green dot zoom button on the top left of the document window had a “+” sign within it. Clicking on that button would resize the document window to fit the document zoom (%) size. Since the update, the green dot button only contains opposing arrows with the options to enter full screen mode, or tile the window to either the left or right of screen. How do I return the green button to its former state with the “+” sign? Deleting and resetting the preferences settings file hasn't fixed the problem. [Note that the "+" sign only appears on the Home Screen and Application Frame, neither of which I enable]. I'd kindly appreciate a recommended fix. Thank you, Bart

Hi allvery pleased to see the new OCIO features built into the latest Photoshop release. I use OCIO in my 3d app working and rendering to ACEScg output. Pulling in the .exr file shows perfect colour matching looks all correct. However I have the following issue which I'm not sure why is happening if I add an sRGB image Layer to the same project... If the document working space is set to ACEScg the .exr render looks correct with the Properties Panel  view set to  Aces 1.0 SDR, however the 8bit sRGB file is getting tonemapped. If I set the View to un-tonemapped the 8Bit file looks correct but the .exr is incorrect. So far this makes sense to me. I tried adding an OpenColor IO Adjustment Layer to compensate, looking for an ODT to correct out the tonemapping but couldn't find anything there to compensate. I've only got a need to know knowledge on ACES so maybe I'm missing some key knowledge here, so any help would be much appreciated. I open a photo in Photoshop.  To adjust the image and make changes, I choose the filter "Liquify."  I make the desired changes and hit "OK."However, my changes are not being saved to the image/photo. Why????

Hallo!Meine drucksensitiven Pinselspitzen werden ganz normal angezeigt, im Photoshop Fenster "Pinseleinstellungen" wird der Beispielstrich jedoch gleichbleibend breit angezeigt.Bei Formeigenschaften ist  Zeichenstift-Druck für den Größen-Jitter eingestellt ist.Ich sehe gerade, der Mindestdurchmesser bei der eigentlich druckempfindlichen Pinselspitze steht auf 100%. Das habe ich korrigiert und auf 0% gestellt.Das hat zum Ergebnis, dass jetzt ALLE Pinselspitzen, auch die eigentlich gleichbleibend breiten plötzlich bei wenig Druck nur dünn zeichnen.Ich habe das Gefühl, ich übersehe etwas. Kann mir jemend einen Hinweis geben?Mein Setup: Apple, M2 Pro, Sequoia 15.2 und Wacom 27 ProBesten Dank, Jan

Hello everyone. I've made a script to input data onto psds. But i can't make the text 100% random. I will be entering the same data so I want it to select a random alternate glyph for each character each time. Do you think it's possible?  I'll note that the font is already set to randomise, and it's a custom font I made. hi.when i want to change my arabic text (actually persian)  in photoshop, there is a problem to show the font preview in the front panel. all of the letters in font previwe are all seprated. can you guys help me? i can't even see my preview's font. i know its happend for long time but this time its confusing to pick a single font.

Hey all This is my first post in the community so hi! So I have the full Creative Cloud Suite and I use Photoshop most days for work, Illustrator not as often and Premiere Pro maybe less again. I always update when I get the messages and I recently updted Photoshop as part of this process.  Now though it takes ages to open up, then it lags something awful when I am trying to work, tells me that there is no memory to save things on ocassion despite my scratch disks being large, and when I try to close it off, that doesn't happen at all sometimes, other times it can take an hour to close! I usually have close it by going through the Task Manager but while it's running everything is laggy. I've tried resetting preferences, I have tried updating more, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I have cleaned my laptop every day using CCleaner Professional and Malwarebytes every day for the past week, including updating any out of date drivers but still no luck.
