Everytime I open Adobe Photoshop on my windows pc, I get a notification saying that the gradient file is bad or corrupted. I have tried to update it but nothing seems to work. Its the photoshop 2025 version that I am currently using right now.
After the update to photoshop 25 , its become so slow its unusable. Everything lags; brushes, lasso tool, transform and crop is so choppy its a complete guessing game, typing text, transforming text; the whole software has become so slow. Im on windows 10 with an nvidia graphics 530, 48gigs of ram; thought maybe it was the outdated gpu so I ugraded to an nvidia gt1030 with no luck. Tried reinstalling with no luck. Still slow. No other software, including lightroom, is having issues on the computer. Everything else runs smooth. Even sampled affinity photo and that runs fine on the computer. This seems isolated to Photoshop.Ive tried all the suggestions here in teh search box; ie; checking the "use gpu" in preferences, adjusting cache size, increasing ram available to photoshop, and no luck. It remains laggy. Not sure what info youd need to troubleshoot, but let me know how I can help you help me.
I am running Photoshop 25.9.1 and it is suddenly so slow to do almost anything. I have a file that is only 128 MB and it takes like 3 minutes to open or save it. There are points when I am working (and this. happens regularly now) when the brush tool actually moves like it is in slow motion. The brush strokes lag behind my pen by at least a second. I tried to follow the tips for optimizing performance, but none of it seemed to make any difference--probably because I am so dumb about what all the terminology means. Can anyone help and explain it like I am in special ed?
Hello, recently I have been organizing a batch of pictures, about 500 in total, all in PNG format, which takes up nearly 2GB of space. I heard that the WebP format can greatly reduce the file size, but the image quality is almost unchanged, so I want to convert these pictures to WebP format in batches. My computer is Windows 11, and I have tried several online png to webp conversion tools, but they can only convert a few pictures at a time, which is too inefficient. Is there any recommended desktop software or method that can convert these 500+ PNG to WebP at one time? It would be best if it supports batch processing and has a faster conversion speed. Thank you for your suggestions!

For some reason, even though I updated all my drivers photoshop still tells me that my PC's system is incompatible. I'll just copy things about it to see if you can help me spot something that I couldn't that I was missing. Hey, only the top and bottom stroke is visible. I want all four sides. Yes, I did check the canvas size versus the image size. They are both the same at 1080 x 1080 px. Please help, I'm having a stroke here with all this craziness. <g>
I am wanting to delete some very old versions of Bridge Batch Preferences. I'm running Bridge and PS 2025 under Mac OS Sequoia 15.2. So in Bridge when I go to Tools->Photoshop->Batch and I get the Batch dialog window on the upper left of that window is the heading Play and then the drop down menu 'Set'. Where are those Default Actions stored?
Does anyone know of a filter or a method in Photoshop that will make digital line art look like it was sketched? I have an image that is smooth solid black line, but I want it to look hand-drawn (without having to hand-draw it). Any suggestions?
The image used for replacement has a PPI different from the PPI of the smart object content, causing it to shrink noticeably after replacement. Can you explain the relationship between the smart object layer and its content, and the underlying principles? I have a solution to convert the image's PPI to match the PPI of the smart object content. Is this feasible? psd ,ppi=300 smart object content ppi=72 Replacement Image 1 ppi=72\Replacement Image 2 ppi=300 Right-click and select "Replace Contents," then use a replacement image with PPI=72. The replacement works as expected.Right-click and select "Replace Contents," then use a replacement image with PPI=300. The replacement results in noticeable shrinkage.
Whenever I try to paint with the mixer brush it leavs these nasty green streaks in everything that look almost like graphical errors. I've done everything from cleaning the brush, changing brush settings etc. and I can't get rid of it.
I am trying to get the bounding box of a layer mask, as well as a group containing layer masks... yet no matter what I do, it always returns the full size of the canvas 0,0 to max. Is there a way to do this via javascript? I would think Photoshop is smart enough to spit this back, considering I can scale a layer mask and the mask portion is scaled, not the entire canvas size.
My Adobe Photoshop customized keyboard shortcuts occasionally disappear and revert back to factory default settings and I have to make the changes again. I am using Photoshop release 26.1.0 and Windows 11. What are the directions to backup and restore my customized keyboard shortcuts? Thanks to anybody who can help.
No matter how I try I'm unable to add a stroke in the following situation.I duplicated the ackground layer and with Layer 1 active, put a stroke around the photo. I then added white canvas on the right side of the photo and am attempting to add a second stroke around the entire enlarged document. But either nothing happens or only the stroke around the photo is effected. I have tried using the Edit/stroke command and also using Stroke found under the fx icon. I know it can be done but do not know what I am doing wrong. Help would be appreciated.Thanks.Mark
I'm extremely new to photoshop but I am trying to use the content aware fill but it is leaving behind an opaque version of the text that was there before. The highlighted text is what it looks like after I use content aware fill and the text below it is similar to what it looks like before I use it. It could be a really easy fix but I'm not sure how to change any settings that might be affecting this, I have tried just filling it twice but it misses some of the text and I'm not sure how to manually select the rest of it, but that isn't a great solution anyways. I am using photoshop 2025 on windows if it helps.
Hello guys. it's been a while im having this issue and i cloudnt find a solution.Since my switch to windows 11 (to use E & P cores) when i save a photo as PNG, or JPEG, with out withotu embedded profile, it shofts colors or the reds gets alot of saturation. My work space is in Adobe RGB. I SHoot in Adobe RGB (Sony A7RIIIa + A7RIV)I convert every foto in the end by flattening the entire work + SRGB profile.I Save as Copy > Png. Embedding or not the profiel doesnt change anything.I tried ALL saving options (exemple, legacy save as, save for web etc) but all give the same problem.using color proofing is fine, i see the picture how it is, how i want it, so doesnt really matter. The funny thing is that i shot in SRGB last time.Even if i shot in SRGB and i myworkspace was in SRGB, saving the picture saturated all the reds a damn lot.If u need my specs:Windows 11 ProI9 13900K64gb Ram DDR5 6600MHZRTX 4090Photoshop is ALWAYS up do date. i have automatic updates.Opening my picture with phot
I have had iMac 27" and now owning iMac 24" M1. After 2,5 years with use, I'm confident that 24" is too small. I want 27". Sadly, I need to buy monitor separately and as of now, studio display is too expensive. That's why I'm looking into Acer Nitro XV275KP. In Norway it's on sale. Is this a good monitor for editing? Will I notice the difference going from 4,5K 24" to this one? I didn't notice much difference in resolution from 27" 5K to 24" 4,5K. Any advice for a monitor, which isn't Apple?
First and foremost,RAM - 32 gigGPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8-Core Processor Photoshop was working fine, no problems at all, but then just out of nowhere, i got MASSIVE lags. All the drivers are installed, up to date, working fine for a few months. I didnt install anything but games from steam inbetween, no settings changed, nothing. Photoshop just got tired i guess. When i create a new file, omg, it lags for like a minute straight before it returns to somewhat normal. Still lags but its ok to work on. The funny thing is, task manager shows that nothing is out of the ordinary, photoshop doesnt take more RAM than it need to, all pc components are fine, not overheating or overworking. Fells like Gandalf casted a spell just to piss me off. Even after i updated photoshop (thought that wat the problem) the spell still was active, lagged like i was using Nokia 3310. After restart though, i seems its working fine now, But
Please help! ALL (and I mean ALL) of my icc profiles are unable to load under color settings. None of my icc profiles are listed in the dropdown when trying to select a profile within photoshop. It does not matter if I try "load rgb" or "load cmyk" either... nothing happens .. not even a warning or failure notice... absolutely nothing happens after attempting to load an icc profile - the dialog box still shows "load rgb..." or "load cmy...". I have also tried re-installing Photoshop with the same result. I have verified that the icc files are still in the "C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color" directory, but they do not show up in the drop-down menu when trying to select a profile in photoshop. The do show up when trying to "load rgb/cmyk" manually, but they do not load when selected. I have tried manually removing specific icc profiles, downloading new files directly from the paper manufacturer, and reinstalling the new icc profile, but that too does n
I have an image that won't print at the designated size in Photoshop. I am printing on an Epson P7000 printer on a 24" x 50 ft. roll. I am giving the Image Size as 19" W which yields a Height of 5.23" for this image. In Print Settings>Paper Settings I am clicking on User Defined and selecting a Paper Width of 24" and a Paper Height of 15" (for some reason, Photoshop adds an inch to the specified height and in this case I want a paper cut of 16" H). But Photoshop is ignoring the Image Size width of 19" and is stretching the image to the width of the 24" paper. This is not happening in other files and I have compared the settings and they are identical as far as I can tell. Why is this happening?
I have been using photoshop for printing my prints for the last year printing to my canon pro 300 and using hahnemuhle german etching paper. suddenly after updating my laptop and photoshop the colours of my prints are extremely exaggerated and incorrect. I have re downloaded all the new drivers for the printer and the icc profiles for the paper however i have woked out the issue lies with photoshop when i select "photoshop manages colours" in the print dialogue box. has anyone else had this issue or know how i can fix this? in the image ive attached the print on the left is how they used to look and is correct, and the print on the right is how they look now. they are both printed with the same settings and same paper photoshop version: 26.1.0mac os 15.1canon pro 300 drivers - latest version
