Hello, I am a CTE and Art teacher in Seattle and we are currently struggling with the Photoshop tutorials. I am using Google Chrome, on desktop computers newly purchased by my district. I am having issues with students seeing the “learn” button and being able to access the same tutorials in the same way which is key for teaching a class of 30 students. We’ve tried resetting the workspace, next I am going to try Purge and purging all. What else do you recommend? IT support in my district does not know how to use the program…
Hi everyone,I’m currently using an older PC with limited hardware performance, and I’m exploring the possibility of running Adobe applications through Microsoft Azure (virtual machine/cloud setup).I have a few questions and would really appreciate your insights:Can Adobe apps (like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) run smoothly on Azure without noticeable lag, especially on a low-spec local machine? How dependent is the experience on internet speed and latency? Will the performance be comparable to running Adobe apps on a high-end local desktop? Is the overall experience (UI responsiveness, rendering, playback, etc.) the same as the native desktop version, or are there limitations? Are there any common issues or challenges (input lag, file handling, GPU limitations, etc.) I should be aware of?I’m mainly looking for a stable, lag-free workflow for creative tasks despite having older hardware locally.
Would be great to have an option that will lock opacity when resizing my brush with alt+right click drag, There is one for brush hardness, but never found one for opacity!
I tried to use Firefly upscaler to enlarge an album cover, but I’m getting a guidelines error. “We encountered and issue with your result. Please view our guidelines and try again." The problem is a very simple and tasteful nude illustration on the cover. If I remove the nude artwork, the upscale is generated without any problems. Images are below. Image on left would not upscale, but the image on the right upscaled without a problem. While I understand this is intended to prevent users from creating pornography or images with explicit nudity, this image is clearly neither of those things. I was able to use a competitors software to get the job done, but it would be a more efficient workflow to stay in Photoshop. I've seen numerous posts from users in the fashion industry that cannot upscale images for the same reason. If you worked for a publication like Playboy, I would imagine the generative tools would be completely useless for editing their content. There needs to be
The generative upscale in Photoshop has crashed. Neither Topaz nor Firefly has been working for hours. The loading bar fills up but then it gives an error.
I create renders in V-Ray/Maya. I’ll have a PSD that is a stack of different render elements, all of which have had the ‘As Transparency / As Alpha Channel’ option specifically selected when I’m creating my composition.Often, I’ll start compositing as soon as my render has started, rather than waiting for the final image. If I save out the render elements again whilst my render is running, or when it’s finished, when Photoshop automatically updates the smart objects it breaks what option I’ve chosen and will choose it’s own option - I think it goes by whatever I selected last. Can Adobe please make it so that the render layers keep their chosen option when they are (automatically) updated?
Ive been following everything and i still cant do itI press option and click on the layer mask channel to paste my texture overlay and it still doesnt paste. No matter if i do it the shortcut way or the way through the menu and ive reset my tool and the app and still nothing im so frustrated. It lets me edit the layer mask with brushes but i cant paste anything into the layer.
Seeking assistance for a zooming issue. I have already checked and unchecked enable gestures and scroll to zoom, ensured that photoshop is using my systems graphics processor and the issue persists. I am able to zoom by pinching on other applications so it is not a hardware issue. The left-right scrolling also seems to be inverted. I have also uninstalled, reinstalled both photoshop 2024 and 2025. Any assistance would be much appricated as this has entirely derailed my workflow
Photoshop version: 26.11.0 ("up to date" according to Creative Cloud app) System: macOS Tahoe 26.0.1 Steps to reproduce: Open a new document, make some edit, close the document (CMD+W). In the dialog that opens and asks if you want to save, don't save or cancel, try to use the tab key to switch to the discard option. It doesn't work. The only way to discard unsaved changes is to use the mouse. Expected behavior: Tab key should switch between every available option in dialogs, so you can press spacebar to choose that option. The same behavior is seen in other dialogs, such as when trying to do something that would cancel an open action (e.g. editing a text box). Tab key just removes focus from any option and it never comes back. Only escape key (cancel) and return (choose the default option) work.
When trying to add a new color swatch the first in line is replaced instead. Not possible to create a new one. Any suggestions?
Hello everyone. As above, how do I speak to an actual person online about my ended subscription plan, the virtual assistant is a complete and utter total waste of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SDL instances have to be kept up to date manually as the automatic updates cannot be set during the installation and change depending on what account is signed in to the CC app. We need a way to set the updates/version upgrades to download and install automatically. I should be able to set this behavior when creating the installer and set it so that non-admin users cannot change the behavior after installation. I should be able to schedule a window for these updates to take place within when the computers are not in use in the installer as well. Your current lack of this feature means that we cannot use our device licenses to the extent we intended because of the management workload to keep them updated. This applies to all adobe apps (not just Photoshop) but I was forced to select a category below.
About 2 releases ago, I began to have an issue where the spot removal tool, intermittently, takes a VERY long time - like 10 to 15 seconds to do a simple white dot removal on a uniform black background. I’ve tried to work through it, hoping Adobe would fix the problem, but this is absolutely killing my productivity. System:I9 285K RTX 5070 TI 64BG DDR5 Asus ProArt Z890-CREATOR WIFI MB Win 11 64 Latest updates and drivers for everythingSettings:Generative AI Off Remove after every click Spot size ~ 35 Nothing but Bridge and PS runningProblem Details:PS is seemingly random as to when it has this issue. I haven’t been able to discern any pattern. I can be removing leaves from the surface of a pond, for example. I will click on 2 or 3 leaves and they are removed almost instantaneously (as was always the case before this problem appeared) with good results. The next leaf I click on, a popup appears and the progress bar creeps across. 8 to 20 seconds later, it finishes. It might do

I have updated to PS 26.11 but Image->Generative Upscale is not there. My gpu is compatible, I am using rgb color space and the image I am using is pretty tiny. My preferences dont show it as a technical option to tick. What gives?
Photoshop 27.x forces large hover tooltip panels (e.g., Generative Fill) with no option to disable them. These appear across tools and interfere with normal workflow. Previous versions allowed turning off “Rich Tooltips,” but that control has been removed. Please restore a simple preference to disable these panels.
Unlike most modern apps, Photoshop only has a single "undo". If you press command-z a second time, Photoshop will redo the change instead of continuing to undo. Not even Illustrator or InDesign works this way at this point. To work around this issue, I customize my keyboard shortcuts to use "step backward" (command-z) and "step forward" (command-shift-z). For the most part this works great and I've been very happy with it. But it brings up a new problem: if I change the selected layer, then press command-z ("step backward") then the layer change is undone as well. This is a constant frustration for me, and it seems there's no solution to get both the behaviors I want. To me, there are two possible ways to fix this problem: • Adopt a standard undo/redo system with multiple levels of undo/redo • Make layer selection a separate step in the history Personally I don't care that much, I'd be happy with either. But adopting a standard undo/redo system makes more sense to me, for consistency a
With some updates of photoshop actions are lost...to be never found again unless user saved a copy somewhere. I would like all actions, and also bridge workflows etc to be saved in the adobe cloud so that they never get lost.
Shouldn't the Copyright info URL be displayed also under IPTC? exporting jpegs and everything is filled out correctly or there another setting somewhere that strips it? thank you
When creating a selection with the polygonal lasso I used to be able to use the ESC key to exit out of the selection. Also, using the delete or backspace key used to allow me to go pack to a previous point in my selection. Neither of these functions are working for me anymore on Windows 10 Pro 64bit and Photoshop 23.4.2
This past week very annoying little pop ups have been appearing on the right side of my Photoshop that I am assuming is AI generated by what I'm doing presently. I don't want them - at all. They just clutter up my screen and have absolutely no value to my process at this experience level. How do I turn them off? No, this is not about the left side panel tool tips and rich tool tips. I've already shut those off through preference and they are unrelated to this new annoyance as far as I can tell. Here is a screenshot of one of these pop ups.
It would be really helpful to have an AI-powered feature that can automatically organize layers, groups, and assets based on content and naming patterns. For example, detecting similar elements (text, shapes, images) and grouping them intelligently, or suggesting cleaner layer names instead of “Layer 1 copy 5.” This could save a lot of time, especially in complex projects with dozens or hundreds of layers. An optional toggle or preview before applying changes would make it even more practical. Would love to hear if others feel the same or have ideas to improve this!
so simple the Rearrange document windows(window-arrange) and what i looking for is “3-up stack”. this is good if the 1 on the left(alone) go to the right or this arrange is flip. its any way to modify or add a new arrange set up? also pleas dont the “u can move that manual by u self” pleas.
GPU not utilized during layer move — 200% CPU on M3 Max (macOS Tahoe)System infoPhotoshop version: 2026 (latest)OS: macOS TahoeHardware: MacBook Pro M3 Max Issue descriptionWhen moving a layer using the Move tool, Photoshop uses 200%+ CPU while GPU utilization remains at approximately 1%. This causes severe performance degradation and makes the application feel unresponsive during basic layer operations. The GPU is recognized by Photoshop but is not being utilized for compositing or rendering during layer movement. Steps to reproduce1. Open any document in Photoshop 20262. Select a layer and use the Move tool to drag it3. Monitor CPU and GPU usage via Activity Monitor — CPU spikes to 200%+, GPU stays at ~1% Expected behaviorGPU should handle layer compositing and rendering during move operations, keeping CPU usage at a reasonable level. Actual behaviorAll rendering is offloaded to the CPU. The M3 Max GPU (which has 40 GPU cores) is almost completely idle. This appears to be a Metal/GPU
