Using Photoshop 2026 on Mac mini running Mac OS Tahoe 26.4 & I can't do anything... currently trying to use the eraser tool on a mask to refine some edges but I either get the spinning beach ball of death or nothing happens at all. Even just trying to make the selection to create the mask, every time I clicked the mouse it was just a spinning beach ball. I can't get anything done… I’m getting spinning beach balls just trying to close Photoshop.  My Mac mini is fully up to date, I have updated all Creative Cloud apps to most current version, and I restarted my computer… the problem has persisted through all of this.

Howdy.I’ve had this problem for years.  The “Export as” feature can’t be trusted to properly export gradients (see attached). Anyone know what the deal is with this? Thanks! 

Hi all,   I am currently puzzled how to create a pantograph with the word VOID written. I tried to create one and it is attached as PSD file but i am unsuccessful in the matter.   It has to be back and white in color or a combination of magenta.   Any advice or lead in this would be highly appreciated.   Thanks in advance    

Folks, any idea how to install Photoshop CC 2019 (version 20.0)? I updated to version the current version after holding off for a while as I just didn't want to change.  Now that I updated, the new version is gltichy as hell for me and can't work with files from without all kinds of graphical glitches, rendering my photoshop sub useless. The creative cloud App only shows versions as low as Photoshop (22.0). Any assistance would be appreciated.

I wanted to use generative fill on a selection, but PS refused because it said my color image was in grey scale. Flat wrong. Below are screenshots of the image mode and the bad message.And the version info follows those.

I am running Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.5.0 20240214.r.375 c4f33ec arm64 Number of Launches: 73 Operating System: Mac OS 14.3.1 System architecture: Apple M3 Pro, HybridCPU(6:6) After I create a shape from an image in the library using the Capture in-app extension by clicking + then extract from image then going ot the shapes tab and saving the shape to my CC library, it saves this captured shape into my library. My problem is when I export this captured shape to a blank document or any document, I get the following error message: "Error:  Could not place becasue the Postscript data isd empty or invalid". This only happens on shapes that I captured with this extension in Photoshop desktop.  I can import other shapes from my library and they import just fine.  I only have problems with shapes that were created using the capture in-app extension.  I know that this captured shape is not corrupted because when I access my library from Photoshop for iPad,

Photoshop says "This feature is currently not available" and you can't use the generative fill ai function. I need to work right away, what should I do? I'm also subscribing to Firefly for a fee, and I haven't seen this phrase in the past few months. It's a problem because problems related to ai happen so often. -The grammar may be awkward because I'm currently using a translator. Please understand :)--

Hi,My student license for Adobe Substance 3D was approved 4 days ago, but it still hasn’t been applied to my Adobe account. I received the approval email I am logged into the correct account The plan does not appear under "Plans" I already contacted Adobe support, but the issue is still unresolved Could someone check if my license is properly provisioned to my account?Thanks in advance.

I've heard that the ability to register my PS CS5 license in no longer possile on my new Windows 11 system. IS this rtrue? Rather than waste a bunch of time and effort on something that won't work at least I could look for an alternative program that I can use. I don't use CS5 for montary gain and I refuse to get hooked into an expensive software subscription. If i need to learn a new program I'll do so but I will also carry a huge resent for Adobe after having paid for a program that can't be registered. That last part is what I've heard and hoping it isn't reality. I paid for a ligit license directly from Adobe and I expect it to work. Else I've learned a lesson. That applies to my Dreamweaver license. Thanks for any input. as well.

Recently bought a Logitech MX Creative Console and had a few issues with Photoshop integration, now mostly resolved. If you have this and use with Photoshop, could you check two things for me?:In photoshop/plugins/logitech if you have more than one profile for your keypad, is there a listing for each? I could swear there was for me, but not now. You would need Default and Essentials, for example, assigned to your Logitech keypad for photoshop. Right now I have one even though both of those profiles installed and enabled and working.   My current plugin listing If you have Essentials, are there many buttons on pages 2 and 3 with text only and no icons? I did not recall that before my issues and fixes and now many buttons text only. For you?Thanks for the help! 

hi, so i've been trying to make a script that changes the text style based on it's contents (Whether if there's quote text or not) and making it into Bold Italic, regardless of what font I'm using, so I managed to make it change the text to faux italics, but when I try to make it to change the actual font style to the Italics version of the current font, it just doesnt work and I dunno what to do.This is the main idea, get the text on quotes ("" or '') and change the text style of that to bold italic, or italic.I was also trying to make it change the color of the text, so if the text layer is not black and has some color in it, change the quote text style and color to red, but I feel I wanna fix the main issue first.I hope someone can help me out and thanks beforehand.This is my current code// Set Quote text in Bold Italic style#target photoshopfunction getAllTextLayers(parent) {var layers = [];for (var i = 0; i < parent.layers.length; i++) {var layer = parent.layers[i];if (layer.ty

Initially I was very happy when the history of processed images on the home screen would reveal file location “on computer”. This function does not work any more. I have reset tool and tried changing settings in File Handling to “on Computer” however this does not change and hovering mouse over file in home page will not work.The second issue relates to a Floating Image. No matter what I change settings to my open document still freely floats within the photoshop window and I dont want this. Changing the settings does not alter the floating document.Thank youKen Abrahams  

When I open a D300 image in Photoshop it looks OK in ACR and I can make adjustments with out a problem. But when I proceed to Photoshop the image is nothing like what ACR displayed. Colours and contrast are way off with banding and splotches of cyan and magenta in the Skys. This hapens even when I do not make any adjustments in ACR.I usually work in Prophoto but changing to Adobe RGB in both ACR & Photoshop the banding improved but the colours and contrast are still way off. The original images are all RAW files. This happening with all my D300 NEF files. If I first convert to DNG using the Adobe converter, same problems.I decided to go back to some older images that I really like and redo them with updated software. My first digital camera was a D300 and from 2008 to 2012 we traveled with it to various parks etc. RAW images taken with later Nikon cameras process with out a problem (D800 - Z8).I am Using the latest versions of ACR and Photoshop. My PC has 64G of memory and the GPU

I installed the latest version of Photoshop, but when I try to start it, I get the error shown in the photo. I have tried at least five times to completely remove everything from my Windows 11 system and also used your tool to delete the remaining files. After each attempt I restarted the computer, but the problem still persists.Could you please tell me what might be wrong? I urgently need Photoshop.Thank you for your help.

Hello everyone! I use Photoshop to color my illustrations. A problem I have with this is that whenever I scan my drawing, the pen lines show up as not as smooth as I'd like them to be. So I usually have to go over the entire drawing and manually erase certain edges and re-draw. Does anyone here happen to know whether there is a quicker way of smoothing out these drawn lines in Photoshop? It could be a big help if there is an answer to this! I hate that the "contextual taskbar" icon is constantly interfering with my work...it's blocking me in the middle, to the right, to the left, on top of objects, everywhere...it's really ridiculous.

I’m trying to use all the bit depth in my timelapse sequences to create HDR versions but I can’t figure out what file formats to use.  The images are processed in Photoshop and Camera Raw and exported as 16-bit TIFF in the Adobe RGB color space.I’ve tried converting those Adobe RGB images to Rec2100 PQ via Camera Raw but then the images are very low contrast in After Effects.  After Effects is properly set up to use Rec2100 media within a Rec2100 color space but the Lumetri scopes show that the brightest parts of the image never exceed about half of the allowable brightness value.  The same is true when I pull the Rec2100 PQ output into Resolve as well, so it’s a problem with the Camera Raw output.The images look OK in After Effects if I work in a Rec2100 HLG space but there’s no way to output to that space from Camera Raw.  And Rec2020 looks OK in After Effects but Rec2100 is supposed to be the HDR workspace.So I can’t find a combination of file formats that works for HDR timelapse vi

I have an image with multiple layers used to basically create the subject (I don’t know if I do this the most efficient way, but if I have an object that needs to be above layered part of the subject, but below another part, I create different layers [for instance there is something around the neck which need to go a layer below the chin, but remain a layer above the rest of the subject) - so my question is can you AI Harmonize the subject with the surroundings if the ‘shown’ photo is on multiple layers.Thanks in advance, Rob

Adjusting the Brush Hardness slider causes Photoshop v27.5 to completely hang. The UI becomes unresponsive until the window is minimized and restored. I work with several templates where I only replace the main images in the relink window to create a batch save. For the past two days, Photoshop has simply refused to open the files because it says "the link to a smart object file is missing".You have no idea how much trouble this is causing me. I have certificates to issue, social media packages to generate, portfolio artwork to create, and the files simply won't open!After the error screen, the following message appears: "Could not complete the command because of a program error (d773e8.7368)"Please, does anyone have a solution? I've already followed all the steps on the troubleshooting page and it didn't help.
