It’s 2026 and Adobe still hasn't fixed its core bugs. It’s the most expensive software on the market, yet it runs like a legacy program. I switched to Foxit PDF Editor and it instantly solved this ridiculous disappearing text issue. Adobe isn't even worth using as a basic reader anymore—2.5 GB is way too bloated for a PDF viewer.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro. I'm trying to update from Ver. 9.0 Standard to Ver. 9.5.5 Standard.I downloaded all of the update files for Version 9.0 Standard. (37 in all)I've read that this could be tricky and I really don't want to screw it up.My questions are:1. What is the difference, for example, between an AcrobatUpd920_all_incr.msp and an AcrobatUpd920_all_me_incr.msp file? Some files just say all_incr.msp and some say all_me_incr.msp (Some have "me" in the file name.)2. Do I need to run all 37 of these individual files?3. Is there a specific order that I have to run these files? Thanks for your help. Hi Adobe, Since the new Acrobat lay-out, I am having the issue that while edditting a PDF document (especcially annoying while adding text) every few seconds the software is upgrading key features. While this pops up Acrobat stops working. It does it so often that I can't even change fonts since while searching for a new font it clears the list while upgrading key features. Can you please fix this bug or tell me how to stop this annoying new feature?
Hi all, We currently have the Acrobat Pro licensing but when using the software we are missing the “request signature” option. Do we require a different license to have this? It seems to not appear on our Acrobat Pros.
I am noticing a sudden change in the way Adobe (2020) handles multiple languages in a document. If the document contains multiple languages, especially RTL ones (Arabic, Urdu, Persian, etc) it fails to create PDF and the Powerpoint and Word crashes without creating the pdf.Did some online research and found nothing as a credible solution.Would appreciate your quick feedback.thanks,Atif
I used to be easily able to convert PowerPoint notes into a handout that matched the Notes Master template (what’s seen on the View > Notes Page). It made Instructor Guides and Student Guides a snap. I loved it.When I went to do that again recently, it would only convert the pdf to the Slide view. The Notes are now on a separate layer that can be toggled on or off, but I could not get it to work as it used to. It’s like it no longer recognizes the Notes Master. I even followed the process to convert the PDF from Print view, and it still won’t work. I’m so frustrated! This used to be a simple, easy one-click asset that saved me time and looked great. Now, it’s inexplicably changed for the worse, and I’ve spent hours and different attempt methods to no avail.
i type digits in english but they show in arabic , why ? i even uncheck hindi digits from language support
I have several PDF files with English text. I have been using Acrobat to edit the text , replacing the English with Hebrew. I used OCR to make sure that all text in the file can be edited. For 2 weeks now, every so often, all the text in the File suddenly gets replaced by dots. it can be when i am in the middle of typing, or when i reopen a file which had been perfectly fine when i closed and saved it. I 0ahve tried so many things, but nothing works. I just worked for two hours on a file which I had started on Thursday. I saved my work every ten minutes, in case something would go wrong. For 2 hours today, everything was fine, when suddenly, all the text was replaced by dots. I closed it without saving, but when i reopened it, the dots were there and not the text.

I hit something and now only the floating toolbar is there. I can’t see any of the documents when I open them.
I need to move an Acrobat DC installation from a Win7 PC to a Win10 PC and would like to know how to save the toolbar customizations that have been done on the old machine so they can be imported on the new machine rather than having to be manually recreated. Are there export/import options for these settings? Or are these settings in a file or folder that can be moved? Or, if these settings are in the registry, what keys need to be exported?
I have been running Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional 8.3.1 on my Windows Vista T60p IBM ThinkPad (yes! it still works perfectly!) for ~15 years. I'm finally biting the bullet and moving to a souped-up P-1 ThinkPad (now Lenovo) running Windows 11. Though I have my original installation files and my activation code, I cannot use them ... because the online activation no longer works! Nor does the telephone activation. So, I'm betting there must be some registry key somewhere that regulates this, but I don't know what it is! I'm not doing anything other than trying to keep running the software I paid for as I migrate to a new environment, but Adobe has no intereset in helping me do that, since I'm not giving them any new money - which doesn't sound like a great customer-retention policy in the long run. If anyone has figured out a way to accomplish this, I would really appreciate the help. I've already checked into "alternatives", but the problem i
I am using Acrobat Pro. I often use the OCR function on documents that I get from clients as photos. Often, these documents include lines, such as underlined text or lined spaces for a signature or grid lines as part of tables. Whether Acrobat does its OCR with the “Scan & OCR” tool or the “Edit PDF” tool, it consistently treats these lines as part of background imagery. It does an okay job recognizing underlining of text (but not better than okay) and pretty much never recognizes blank lines as pseudo text (in the case of spaces for signatures) or formatting (in the case of boxing in and around tables). Often, the images I get from clients including yellowing or low-res smearing in the white background of the document. OCRing turns them into editable images. I would like to be able to select and delete these image background, but because Acrobat’s OCRing includes the blank lines and table lines described above as included in the background image, deleting the background fuzz also
I am trying to use the Adobe PDF printer with Driver Adobe PDF Converter in a production environment. I have set up an Adobe Output Folder, unchecked “View PDF results”, unchecked “Rely on system fonts”, and set up a custom Paper Size. This is so the PDF generation can happen in the background without input from an operator, but I keep experiencing interruptions where those settings are reset. Sometimes this seems to happen without input, which other questions and reports indicate could be Adobe updates. But other times, just opening up Adobe Acrobat seems to be enough to wipe out my settings for the Adobe PDF printer.Am I doing something incorrectly to lead to the loss of Printing Preferences when Acrobat is opened or Adobe is updated? Is there a type of Adobe license that would work better for my use case? I am mainly interested in using the Adobe PDF printer as I have set it up (directly to an output folder without input, without viewing PDF results) as it is not vital that the oper
I’ve recently purchased Acrobat Pro 2024 (a.k.a. Acrobat Classic). Under “Prepare Form,” after creating a text box with a mouse click, each subsequent click anywhere on the page will create a new text box. I can end this cycle only by pressing Esc twice. Is this a feature or a bug? That was not the behavior in older Acrobat Pro’s that I had had.
When using the Fill and Sign function in Acrobat DC Pro there is an option to "Save to Template". How do I access the template when I need to use it again? Once I've sent the document I see a message stating that it was saved to my document library. The message has a link that I can click that takes me to the what I presume is the document library and I see the template there. After closing Acrobat DC Pro I cannot find a way to get back to the document library the next time I open the program. I've attached a screenshot of the document libary.
I am trying to locate a superscripted number in a PDF. (1) Is there a way to search specifically for superscripts in a PDF?(2) When I search in the text for the superscripted number--not trying to limit the search only to superscripts--the search does not find them. Why am I doing wrong?
When I try and share a PDF, using the share button. I get a white box, but no option to share or Create link to share to generate and copy the URL
I am helping a professor with articles from newspapers.com. She would like me to combine articles that are not on the same page into one PDF. Also, is there a way to select the entire text transcription and copy/paste into a text file, and send that to her too? She wants to make an html version of the article and provide a pdf of the real thing for download. I realize these are elementary questions, but I don’t work often with Acrobat and could really use some help. Thank you!
I am checking a PDF export workflow in Acrobat and want to confirm the correct way to validate links after export. In my test PDF, the URL is visible as normal black body text, but I also need to confirm that the exported PDF keeps the native URI annotation instead of only showing plain text. I am checking for the expected PDF structure such as /Annots, /A, /S /URI, and the URI target. The attached PDF is a small test document. It includes one real-world test URL surrounded by normal project context, so I can verify whether Acrobat preserves both the visible text and the clickable link annotation after saving or exporting. What is the recommended Acrobat workflow to verify this? Should I use Edit PDF > Link, Preflight, Accessibility tools, or another inspection method to confirm that the URI annotation is still present after export?I am checking my own PDF export and validation process and want to make sure I am using the right Acrobat tools.
Whenever I hover over certain documents, I get this weird pop-up showing the page number in the bottom right corner. It sometimes looks like this; sometimes just the page number. I am using old acrobat for viewing pdfs and have “enable text indicators and tooltips” turned off. It seems to happen only with documents that I have converted into searchable/editable text. It happens with any tool selected, but seems to go away when I move my cursor off of the page.
