Solved

I was forced to update to InDesign 2026. (Mac Mini, Ventura OS) It’s being extremely buggy. I’m now having issues where I’ll open a doc from the Book panel and the doc opens but a modal box stays up saying “Open 1 documents” and typically hangs showing the name of a placed image. Of course, as with everything CC, the “Cancel” button never actually cancels. I can’t do anything but Force Quit and then the fun of having InDesign say files may be damaged.I’m in the middle of a colossal project and basically have to be prepared for a hard crash every moment and don’t dare leave any files open. The Book features is super buggy, but these inherited files were set up this way (due to somebody not understanding text variables for RH, so every chapter is a new volume with 6 master pages, thanks).Has anyone experienced this and figured it out? I now do keep updating InDesign, hoping this is addressed.I’m syncing on DropBox, I’ve selected “Make Available Offline” to hundreds of GB of files so they

I am writing to address Adobe’s recent policy change regarding the Creative Cloud individual subscription, which now limits access to a single device at a time. This change is disruptive, deceptive, and blatantly exploitative. What HappenedFrom Adobe’s chat support:“After the update, the individual subscription can only be used on a single device at a time. Individual subscription is for personal use for the users. To access the subscription on multiple devices at the same time, we have Teams subscriptions.”For years, individual subscriptions allowed users to work on up to two devices simultaneously—a feature many of us relied on for our workflows. This update removes that ability, with no prior warning, and pushes users toward the more expensive Teams subscription. Why This Change is UnacceptableContradicts Adobe’s Past PoliciesAdobe has long marketed individual subscriptions with the ability to install and work on two devices simultaneously. Here’s a quote from previous policy document

I am implementing one feauters which is performed when the pdf is closed. But it should only happen if the document has all its changes saved. Suppose if the user closes the pdf without saving the changes, the feauters will not trigger. So I am looking for a way to see if the pdf is saved or not? I found one method PDDocIsModified. But it is not working

I'm experiencing an issue in Illustrator where the colors on screen slightly flicker or shift in value. It is especially noticeable on bright, saturated color. It's a little difficult to explain but the video will show what I'm seeing. This is only happening in Illustrator and it doesn't happen all the time. The screen recording is from my Macbook Pro.Could this be a hardware issue? My setup:2019 Macbook PromacOS Catalina 10.15.7Adobe Illustrator 25.1

Updated to the current illustrator 28.5 and I am now missing the replace all when I open a file and have to replace links. Also when I do replace the link it doesn't find all the missing links that are in the same folder. It used to update automatically when missing files were in the same folder. This is very frustrating when doing press sheets with multiple files and I've used this feature frequently as I've had to use the same file as a template and update multiple images it was an easy way to change out artwork from one image to another.

In previous years, contributors meeting download thresholds received Creative Cloud plans in January. For contributors active in 2025, is there an upcoming announcement regarding 2026 bonus eligibility, or has the program been discontinued?

HelloWant to export a XML from Adobe Premiere for Davinci Resolve in the right way. I have been exporting XML from Premiere to Davinci for ages and never got any problem. But want to know what Adobe engineers suggests to export a XML from Adobe Premiere to color grade in Davinci Resolve? So I shoot this film in 3840x2160 XF-AVC in my Canon C70. I am done with my editing in Adobe Premiere. Now I am going to send it for color grading. My colorist uses Davinci Resolve. My timeline setting are:Frame size: 1440x1080Square Pixels23,976 fpsDelivery codec: Apple Pro res 422Want to create a XML to send it to Davicini Resolve. Want the colorist to color grade an 1440x1080 timeline. Why I want that? Because I want the final frame size in 1440x1080 and want the colorist to color grade only the crop image (shoot it in 3840x2160 and my final frame size is 1440x1080).How should I prepare my timeline, in the right way, for an Adobe Premiere XML exporting to DaVinci Resolve using my timeline configuratio

I’m using a local installation of FrameMaker Version: 17.0.7.842 on my laptop.I have a DITA Bookmap that needs to be converted to a FrameMaker book. My  DITA Bookmap conversion to FM results in a 542 page pdf book. The book has 7 chapters (seven ditamaps making up the bookmap). In chapters that have less than 50 images, all figure captions are visible. My issue is I have a chapter (chapter 2) that has 250 images. The figures are converted properly and have the expected Figure numbers below each figure. But no captions. When I edit the DITA in chapter 2 and remove enough topics from the ditamap  to leave only 50 images, chapter 2 is published with all figure captions. My take from this is that FrameMaker cannot convert ditamaps that have topics with more than 50 image elements without removing the figure captions.I could add more chapters (ditamaps) to the bookmap, each ditamap only have having topics with 50 images max. However,  because of document standards, I cannot increase the number

Hello there, I'm working in Lightroom 8.2 in Windows 11. I primarily work in Premiere since I mostly do video work. In Premiere, you can go to edit -> keyboard shortcuts, and you can view and customize keyboard shortcuts and commnads. I am getting into some real estate photography, and I am trying to use Lightroom to combine the bracketed photos and edit them, but going from Premiere to Lightroom, it seems like none of the basic keyboard shortcuts are the same. Everything I am finding "help" for is for Lightroom Classic which I am not using. I'm using just the regular, ole Lightroom V8.2. According to Google, you can change the shortcuts in regular Lightroom, but not Lightroom classic, but I cannot find where it is to save my life to actually change it. I can't even find anywhere in Lightroom where it would tell me what the shortcuts are. Like I mentioned, in Premiere, it's right there in edit -> keyboard shortcuts. All I am trying to do is speed up my wo

I am working with Photoshop desktop version 27.4.0 on a Windows 11 computer. I was watching a class on channels that said to turn off the Show Channels in Color in the Preferences/Interface. When I opened the histogram panel per their instructions, it was gray. I have not had it open for a while to the preferences setting may have been a coincidence. The Image mode is RGB, the Channels in the histogram panel is set to RGB. I have reset the histogram panel. I have toggled through all of the hamburger flyout view options in the histogram panel. Show channels in color is checked in that same hamburger menu. I have tried toggling that Show Channels in Color on and off. The computer is using the GPU and it indicates the correct graphics card. The histogram is gray when I open another image or when I create a new one and paint. I have double clicked within the panel to reset it. I made sure that both Windows and the graphics drivers are up to date. Every time I have rebooted Photoshop, the h

HelloWondering if anyone else has had the same issue. Im trying to move a project from my MacBook to my iMac using the method of Project Manager; Collect files and copy to new location. But every time I try this I get a error message saying "an unknown error occurred during the project manager operation. Please save your project and retry the operation". I tried that and still no luck.Anyone able to shed light on the situation would be great. Or is there another way to move the project easily? Many thanksDan

I changed my plan to Photoshop only before I was supposed to be billed the entire $69.99 for the multiple apps but I ended up being charged both the $69.99 AND the $22.99 for Photoshop alone. Please refund the $69.99 and please make sure I will be charged for Photoshop only moving forward. Thanks

Before converting my Word document to a PDF I made sure everything Microsoft word flagged in the accessibility check was fixed. That included adding Alt Text to my images. Then I used "saved as" to save my document as a PDF and checked the box to include document structure tags for accessibility. When my document was converted to PDF and I ran the accessibility check, none of my images have the Alt Text that was added to the images in Word. Now Adobe want's me to re-add Alt Text for each image which creates duplicative work. How do I make the Alt Text from my word document come over when I convert it to a PDF?

I’m using Illustrator on 2 different computers: a personal computer, and a work computer. (I’m currently logged out of the personal computer). Illustrator works on my personal computer, but not my work computer. However, the other programs that I use - Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat - all work fine. And I had no trouble with Illustrator until today. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator, and that didn’t help. See the attached screenshot for the error message that I’m receiving. Thanks!

I have created a book and at the back is a bibliography which is just a list of titles and authors. In the print version, the title and the author are separated by a leading row of dots which looks very smart with the titles up against the left margin and the authors up against the right margin.. However, when I try to convert it to an e-book and look at it with Kindle Previewer, the dots have disappeared. Can anyone suggest how I can achieve leading dots with a list in an ePub? I have already asked the question to an AI source and received many many CSS solutions, none of which has resulted in the dots showing in the Kindle previewer.

Is there still no way to completely remove my credit card details form the adobe database?? The only option I had was to edit it, or to add a new one - No option to remove it entirely.

Hi, I'm trying to sign a PDF with an official certificate from the FNMT (the official certificate issuer in Spain). I can import it into Windows 10, validate it, and use it to sign in other applications without any problems, but when I try to sign it in Adobe Acrobat Pro, the option to use a certificate doesn't appear. I can use the personal certificates he created, but the certificates from the Windows certificate store don't appear. If I try to sign by setting up a new digital ID, I can select the certificate, enter the password, and add it.  But when I click the Next button, the "Sign with a digital ID" option appears again with the same two digital IDs as before, and nothing happens.I've tried all the solutions: disabling Protected View, reinstalling, unchecking revocation verification, switching from PKCS#7 to CAdES, etc., but nothing works. I've tried it in another version of Adobe Acrobat Pro and in Acrobat Reader with the same results, so I think it may

Using Windows 10 with the latest version of Illustrator CC.When I try to export as png or eps, illustrator creates a tmp file instead. If I delete the tmp extension and clear the cache on the file it recognizes the file type but that is annoying.Anyone else having this problem?Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, problem still exists.

When I try to go into Fix Reading Order>Table Editor to set the table’s scope and adjust column/row spans, the cells are not displaying correctly and I can’t edit any of them. The table was in landscape mode, and it won’t adjust or change even when I rotate the table.  Screenshot of Table’s cell property options. How can I set the scope?

I’ve added color grading on an adjustment layer in Premiere Pro, and it displays correctly in the timeline preview. However, after exporting the video, the adjustment layer effects are missing, and the exported file appears without the applied color correction.
