I am running into a very frustrating problem on Photoshop 25.12 running on Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1 on a 15" M1 Macbook Pro. I have an action recorded for finishing portraits that completes the following steps: switch to 8 bit color save full-res jpg downsize for web save web jpg step back to full resolution 5"x7" 300dpi portrait crop close My problem is that the Crop Overlay is not functioning correctly when the action runs. I have the action set to require confirmation during the 5x7 step so I have the opportunity to properly frame and size the crop, but when I get to that step in the action the Crop Overlay never pops up. It doesn't show the handles around the outside of the bound area and is not showing the thirds overlay lines, just the Crop Shield. I cannot make any of the different overlay options work despite switching between grid/thirds/diagnol/triangle/etc.   The weirdest part is that the Crop tool functions normally in basically every other context I can test it. Hello everyone~I am working on a tool to automate some tasks in photoshop. One of the steps is to open psd files in batch to process the tasks.The problem is that sometimes there will be some popups that appear right after opening the file (or appear after I perform some automated operations). For example, Missing relink smartobject layer, Psd is locked,... Is there any solution to detect these popups (then I can do a close photoshop action and exclude the corrupted files from the processing list)? I am using python and the photoshop-python-api library.

I know this is probably easy, but I can't for the life of me figure it out.  I have ~200 images that were saved with a quality of 12, but I want to reduce the quality to 10.  I've tried to create an action, but it will always try to open the file I opened when I started recording.  If I have a file already open and I start to record the action, I select "Save As' which bring up the dilaog box.  I reduce the quality to 10, select save as, but then the action records the name of the file I'm saving as, so every file I run the action on gets renamed to that file. I just want to be able to go into the batch menu, select a folder to run the action on, and have the action reduce the qulity to 10. Any help would be appreciated.  On the most current version of PS on a win10 machine.

When I copy an object for Illustrator 2020 and try to paste it into Photoshop 2020 canvas, Illustrator temporarily freezes but does not crash. I have to wait 20-30 seconds for Illustrator to unfreeze, and for the Photoshop dialogue "paste smart object" window to show up. This is extremely frustrating and slows down workflow significantly. 

Hello everyone.I am new to photoshop. I use replace color to change the color of the wall. However, I can't get the color I want. I am posting here to ask about how replace color works. I want a darker color like the bottom photo but I can't. I thank you in advance for any comments coming soon. 

Yesterday I had a Photoshop update. Today I can start Photoshop and open a photo but after that no respons on all buttons. I get a popup that says: Catch in IPhotoshopApplication, uitzondering aangetroffen: require failed. Does anybody knows what I can do about this?

I have an iMac with OS Sierra, and a Cintiq.I usually use Photoshop on the main screen, however all the pop-up menus and dialogues always open on the Cintiq screen. Even if I move the dialogue box back to the main monitor, then close it, then open again, it opens again on the Cintiq screen. Even if my Cintiq is turned off, it still opens the menus outside of Photoshop, on a presumable Cintiq screen! How can I change that?

Liebe Adobe Community, wie kann ich mehrere Verläufe in Photoshop überlagern? Früher ging das ganz einfach indem ich bei Verlauf die Option "multiplizieren" ausgewählt habe. In den neuen Photoshopversionen kann ich aber offenbar immer nur einen Verlauf (z.B. in eine Maske) anlegen. Wenn ich versuche einen neuen Verlauf zu überlagern, dann ersetzt er den bestehenden Verlauf. Hat Jemand eine Idee, wie ich mehrere Verläufe in einer Ebenenmaske legen kann? Vielen Dank!

Hello there,So i've had this issue several times over the past year but lately it became annoying to the point I can't really use photoshop to draw.So basically, what is the issue:While drawing, all of a sudden, my brush will suddenly lose its texture. It's not that the brush becomes basic, it is still a brush, still the pressure, the flux... But it is not how it should be. (Ill add a pic to show, because it is hard to describe.) A trigger of the issue is when I change my brus for another one, then they all start not working properly. I am not sure if it is the only trigger for it to happenThe issue happens with ALL brushes that have a texture! This is the exact same brush for both part of the pic. One is normal and expected, the other isn't. It has been driving me crazy, I've been doing ton of researches, even sent a dm on twitter to adobe and I couln't find any clue of what to do about it.What I have tried:I updated my cintiq 13hd's drivers and photoshop.I unistall and installed

My window photo on the left is too blurry so I decided to combine a clearer window photo. However the curtain cord is not as good as expected. I could cut it by hand but that would be very time consuming. Does anyone have experience in dealing with cases like this.Thanks for any comments coming. 

How to get rid of the pesky "copy" character when saving a png as a jpg using photoshop actions?

I purchased a Creative Suite 5 Premium (CS5) via disks in 2010; I know this is an old program, but it is perfectly sufficient for my needs as a professor (this was purchased as an educator, and I mainly use Photoshop and a few other programs, including Acrobat).  I have deinstalled from old computers and reinstalled it on new computers via the disks several time.  However, my desktop switched to blue screen and then died before I could de-install CS5.  How do I find a way to get around this problem without paying an exorbitant amount of money for only a 1-year online download?  (I cannot afford to do this at all.)  Thank you for any help, or any suggestions on how to contact Adobe directly for them to "deinstall" (i.e., remove the link to my dead computer so I can reinstall it on my new one), as apparently they will not respond to anybody who purchased a project more than a year or so ago.  This is financially devastating!

I use Polygonal Lasso Tool to form a selection like the screenshot below:Now I want to record the accurate vertex coordinates of the Polygonal Lasso Tool. Do you know how to display these coordinates somewhere in Photoshop so that I can record them manually in a notebook or automatically as a file? I have various folders of PSD files, and once I open a folder the files inside don't show up as thumbnails when I'm in "icon view" in Finder on my iMac. They show up as general PSD file icons instead, as placeholders. I want to see the thumbails of the images so I can quickly navigate to the one I'm looking for. Instead I can't see them because they don't load. (Sometimes they do, after waiting a few minutes. But even then it's not all of them, it's some.) I spent HOURS on the phone with Apple support because I figured it was an Apple issue. We updated my OS, started up in safe mode, ran first aid on the disk, cleared various caches, made a new user profile, reinstalled the OS, and tried a bunch of different solutions. Nothing worked and they said Adobe is making changes and discontinuing facets of their software, and as a result this is now a known issue. Has anyone else experienced this, and what's the trick to getting my photo thumbnails to show up instead of general icons

When using a script to open a psd file, an error message pops up, asking whether to continue. How can I disable this dialog box or automatically confirm to avoid blocking the program? 

i've been using the "enhancer app" in canva its so good with in one place i use to enhance and also i do background cutting for the picture just with a single click as adobe is a large giant that deals with photos why this company dosent launced the photo enhancer tool if i search for it in youtube they are showing that  for enhancing of the image you can use super zoom filter in the neural filters but the output from that dosent match 1% of the output as the canva enhacer tool gives i've searched alot but i couldnt get a proper enhancing tool or plugin from adobe side if you guys know any inbuild phto enhancing tool from adobe please mention about it ill use it or else kindly give me an options to enhance my images      {Font changed to lowercase by moderator}

Going crazy here. Nothing seems to help. Hi Hive mind. Please help. My Photoshop has gone weird. If i am in the program, i can open files from the program no issue. But i cannot open any files in with photoshop from outwith the program. Make sense ? If i click on any file it will ask ( as normal ) what program i want to use to open file. In that menu, photoshop only shows as photoshop.exe. I click on that and nothing. If i look for the option of find another program on this pc, i can find photoshop but again i only have photoshop.exe. Have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times but still exactly the same. Have tried redoing the default app to open files option but nothing. Any ideas please ? Thanks in advance

Just gonna love the fact that out of nowhere either adobe [cursing removed] or i simply don't know, i used to create a kinda of "3d" effect, which was bassicly creating a text and then using stroke effect on it then using ctrl t and i clicked on a up arrow, tthen i would use ctrl shift alt t so the laywers would create a copy of the transformation going upwards to create a kinda of 3d effect, well it turns out that this keyboard shortcut stopped working but its funny cause all of the others one are still working just fine, installed, reinstalled changed all keyboard layouts on both windows and in photoshop, photoshop is fully updated, unistalled changed the folder directory, reseted configurations i did exactly EVERYTHING THAT IS GUIDED ON INTERNET, even tried to contact adobe via twitter, but since they are so slowy to awnser and i need a solution pronto.   Also Iam Using windows 11 and photoshop is version 2022, but i also installed the 2021 version and 2023 and the problem stil

Hi. I have troubles making double tapered end brushes in the new Photoshop 2025, and with unlimited lenght. I use my mouse as a primary tool tho sometimes I use a stylas.I've managed to make a brush with one tapered end but it's very annoying to constantly adjust the length value. And I really need the double tapered ends for my line art.I didn't have these problems in the older versions of Photoshop. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance

Photoshop crashes ONLY when I add a Solid Color or Pattern adjustment layer in a situation that is hard to describe in words and easier to show in a screenshot:This happens in 100% of attempts only if the situation is as in the screenshot. If you change anything, the crash doesn't happen. Greeting.   I've updated my cameras shooting CR3.    I've upgraded to LightRoom 17 on the annual plan and I wanna add PhotoShop.    If I upgrade to the Photography Plan do I get credit for already having LightRoom or am I stuck paying the full price for the Photography Plan?
