Photoshop

When I select the remove tool, I get a message saying "Required components are being downloaded. Check back later..." It's been this way for days. I updated graphics driver; no help.

Quick question. I would like to rotate the app interface from landscape to portrait. I am not refering to the drawing canvas, but rather re-orient the menu to a top short end, and the tools, and palettes to the long sides. Portrait rather than landscape. Is there a way to do this?

I have an image taken with an 800mm lens, 24M pixel sensor. I'd like to crop the image as if it were taken with a 1.4 extender (1.6 crop factor, i.e. 1120mm eq.). 24M pixels sensor. I want to compare the cropped image to a photo using a real extender, to compare quality. Is there any easy way to do thet with any of the photos hope tools? Ideally I'd also to have a crop area that can be moved around to frame the image to select the area to be cropped.

I can't open Adobe Cloud, and also Adobe Photoshop, even though I've paid, there is always a warning like the one in this picture, can anyone help answer?

I've been having a bit of an issue with my brushes not keeping their original properties. For example, if I'm painting with the general 'Hard Round' brush then go to an imported 'Art Marker' style brush, when I return to the hard round brush the properties are the same as the previously used art marker brush, i.e the blending mode, size and flow are all the same as the 'art marker', but the brush tip shape is back to being 'hard round'. This seems to mainly effect the 'general' brushes and I can reset the brush in the options bar, but pretty sure I shouldn't need to do this manualy each time. Is there someting I'm overlooking?Thanks.

I've been reading this great article on how digital cameras convert raw data to sRGB images or to XYZ space. From the article (specifically section 7) and the DNG specification I understand that for Adobe DNG files     Forward Matrix (F) * Raw Channel Multipliers (D) = CAT(Scene White Point --> D50) * Inverse Color Matrix (C^-1). So applying either side of the equation to the camera RGB values of the illuminant for which the forward and color matrices are optimized should result in D50 XYZ. I wanted to test that for my Fuji X-T4. I use both forward and camera matrices 1 for illuminant A and matrices 2 for illuminant D65. I assume that the CAT is linear Bradford (as recommended in the DNG specification). I obtain D as 1 / (Color Matrix * Illuminant XYZ) -- because applying the Color Matrix to the XYZ value of the illuminant gives the camera RGB values of the illuminant, it's inverse gives the multiplication factors required to map the camera RGB values t

Photoshop regularly crashes when moving photos to editing areas. I reset the default settings, reinstalled Photoshop. Updated and reinstalled all the drivers. I disabled the use of the GPU in the photoshop settings. I have 32 GB of RAM, 250 GB of free space, an 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 2.30GHz processor with a discrete Nvidia GeForce 3050 Laptop GPU, and integrated Intel(R) UHD Graphics.I also use a 2nd monitor from AOC 27G2G8 connected to a laptop. Greetings, community!I have an interesting question: Is it possible to automatically (via a script) deform a specific raster object according to a prepared shape? Let me explain:1. We have a reference shape, “Black Shape 1.”2. We also have a shape that needs to be distorted, “Blue Circle 2” (raster).3. The goal is for “Circle 2” to somehow transform into the shape of “Black Shape 1.”4. As an example (image 3), I’ve illustrated the manual distortion process using Puppet Warp. 🙂 The question is: Is this theoretically possible? It doesn’t necessarily have to use Puppet Warp—it’s just an example here. The workflow involves raster images of various types of clothing that need to match specific templates, with the shapes being roughly consistent.This doesn’t have to be the final solution—just a way to speed up the process of aligning clothing with the template. Have you perhaps seen something similar in other threads?I’m exploring various ways to speed up the work

I'm starting a new post because the replies in the previous one don't add up... Photoshop closes by itself when I try to open any graphic file JPG, PNG, PSD, PDF, etc., as well as when I want to create a new document. I discovered that Photoshop doesn't close by itself when I turn off the graphics processor in the options, in the performance. There is some conflict with the GPU. In the GPU Compatibility tab everything is ok, and during work all processes that require GPU help cause the program to close. I have a GeForce RTX 3060. All drivers are up to date, the system is up to date.

Although 'Scrubby Zoom,' 'Overscroll,' and 'Zoom to Cursor' are enabled in the preferences, they stop working when launching the Liquify filter. For some reason, these features are not functional within the Liquify filter, making the workflow more tedious and cumbersome.Adobe, please, fix this issue.   

My problem involves Bridge, which I have been using for many years. I started to download photos from my camera. There is a new way to get in, which I found by clicking the camera icon at the top of the page. It went to download as always, but when it said to pick a device, my camera was not longer an option. Greetings, Everyone, and Happy New Year!I'm encountering a problem stamping layers that include adjustment layers.  The problem only occurs occasionally and is illustrated in this example:In the first case, I took a base image, applied two adjustment layers, selected all layers, then stamped the three layers (Ctrl+Alt+E).  If I were to make that fourth layer visible, it would accurately show the bottom layer with the adjustments applied.In the second case, I repeated exactly the same process.  The result of stamping the base layer and the adjustment layers is shown in that last image.  The contrast is much lower because the adjustments are not being applied.  Can anyone explain to me why the affect of the adjustment layers is applied in the first instance but not in the second?  (Note that Shift+Crtl+Alt+E produces the same result.  The blending mode on all layers is normal.)

My computer crashed today while photoshop CS5.1 was saving/writing to a psd file. When I started my computer back up, and tried to open the file again, It only displayed 1 layer shown as a corrupted image (As Shown Below - the Red Image). When I click on the file in the "Open" window (The Gray Image Below), the psd shows up correctly in the Preview window but doesnt show correctly when opened. I have lost all of my layers, by the way I have worked on this psd for weeks and I need some way to recover it. I have tried "corrupted psd recovery programs", they did not work. I have tried forums - I found no answer. I have tried locating the .tmp file but it is no where to be found. Does photoshop have a cache or a history? maybe for previously saved versions of psd files? Or does Windows 7, 32 Bit have a file recovery method? I have tried a windows 7 recovery method but it only recovers files from previous restore points that may be weeks old. This is very important that I do my best to fix

I'm needing to make something look larger in a photo without selecting the whole thing. Is there a tool to do that?
