UPDATEYesterday, we shared an update with Adobe Animate customers on the future of Animate. What weshared did not meet our standards and caused a lot of confusion and angst. Please read this update that shares changes to our plans for Adobe Animate and its status and our commitments to ensuring that you always have access to your content.See this post with the latest update.Adobe Animate has been a product that has existed for over 25 years and has served its purpose well for creating, nurturing and developing the animation ecosystem. As technologies evolve, new platforms and paradigms have emerged that better serve the needs of the users. Acknowledging this change, we are planning to discontinue the sale of Adobe Animate effective March 1, 2026.  Existing Animate users may continue to use the application. Support for enterprise customers will continue for three years, through March 1, 2029.  For all other customers, support will continue for one year, through March 1, 2027.Customers with a Creative Cloud Pro plan can use other Adobe apps to replace portions of Animate's capabilities. Hi Everyone,  The Circle, Arch, and Bow styles of dynamic text are now available in Photoshop beta!  Here’s how to use dynamic text circle, arch, and bowCreate a Point type or Paragraph type layer, and convert to dynamic circle, arch or bow using the dynamic text button menu found in the Options bar, Contextual Task Bar, or using the dynamic text section in the Properties panel. New dynamic text options For circle, arch, and bow, there are 4 options for Position (Above, Center, Below) or changing the direction of the text.  Edit the start, middle, and end pointsOnce a circle, arch, or bow layer has been created, you can adjust the start, middle, and end points with the Path Selection tool. Customize your text to tasteWith dynamic text circle, arch, and bow, most other text attributes are still editable aside from Font Size. ProtipIf you know how to edit the anchor points on a path, once a dynamic text layer has been made circle, arch, or bow, you can manipulate the path with the Direct Selection tool to whatever path shape you’d like and the text will stay dynamic (always fitting the text within the start and end points). If you get into any path-trouble, click any of the preset shapes again to go back to them.   Try the circle, arch, and bow dynamic text shapes & Share what you create!Let us know if you encounter any issues or have thoughts on how we can improve this feature!

This allows us to focus on performance, security, and quality across supported platforms. Unfortunately, over time, this also means that some devices can no longer run Adobe Express if their operating systems are no longer compatible. What you need to know iOS 16 was deprecated at the beginning of 2025 iOS 17 is being deprecated at the beginning of 2026 If your device cannot be updated beyond iOS 17, Adobe Express will no longer run on that device.Ways to keep working Use Adobe Express on another iOS device that supports iOS 18 (iPhones and iPads included). Access your projects on desktop browsers using a supported computer. Thank you for flagging them and helping us prioritize:  When accessed via UXP, the new Clarity and Grain adjustment layers do not have a layer.  Clarity and dehaze adjustment layers were not recognized by UXP scripting. Dehaze adjustment not working for small images. Feather selection did not accept decimal values correctly when using commas instead of decimal points. Hue, Saturation, and Lightness adjustments were unresponsive, and images could be dragged unexpectedly.  [macOS] On Photoshop 26.0, the New Snapshot dialog no longer appears and snapshots now default to capturing the entire document. [macOS] Select Subject (Device) failed to remove backgrounds correctly on macOS 26.3 (beta). We wanted to add some extra information to the "Be Safe" section of our Community Guidelines for your consideration: Do not share your own or others’ personal information (like full name, home address, phone number, email address, government-issued IDs, or anything else that would let someone locate or contact you in the real world).  Beware of users purporting to be Adobe employees who are requesting your personal information or trying to gain access to your computer. Never share your serial number with anyone. Please use the report button if you detect anything suspicious.  Here are 3 easy ways you can identify Adobe Employees: All Adobe employees have the Adobe Employee role and the red Adobe logo under their avatar. This is visible on profile pages -logo does not appear on profile-, original posts, and replies.      Genuine Adobe emails always end in @adobe.com or e.adobe.com.     Adobe employees will never ask you to share your password or private/sensitive information in the Adobe Community. If one-on-one support is needed, an Adobe employee will always direct you to communicate through an official Adobe channel to set up a secure support sessionPlease report any suspicious behavior by clicking the ‘Report’ button, and report phishing attempts via phishing@adobe.com.

Looking for a fun way to give your photos a hand-crafted feel? Try turning them into pencil sketches using just a few tools in Photoshop. This simple technique is great for portraits, architecture, or even still life — and it works with any photo you already have. No tablet or drawing skills required.   Try it in the Desktop App Download the latest version and dive into the new features offered in Adobe Photoshop.   This step-by-step guide walks you through how to create a pencil sketch effect that mimics real graphite lines and paper texture. Once you’ve tried it, share your results here in the community — we’d love to see your take on it. Step-by-Step: Photo to Pencil Sketch  1. Duplicate Your Image: Duplicate your image layer and select the top layer and go to Image > Adjustments > Desaturate or use Command + Shift + U to make it black and white.     2. Invert Your Second Layer: Duplicate the desaturated layer. Then invert it using Command + I (or Control + I on Windows). Change the blend mode of the inverted layer to Color Dodge. Your image will probably turn white — don’t worry, that’s expected.     3. Add Gaussian Blur: Add a Gaussian Blur by going to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Adjust the radius until the lines start to resemble a pencil sketch. You can also adjust the brightness and contrast for more definition.     4. Combine Layers: Create a merged copy of the visible layers using Command + Shift + Option + E (or Control + Shift + Alt + E on Windows). Group and hide the original layers if needed. Convert the merged layer into a Smart Object.     5. Add Texture: Create a more realistic pencil texture with filters. Go to Filter > Noise > Add Noise. Try around 11% to simulate a realistic pencil texture. Then go to Filter > Sharpen > Smart Sharpen and fine-tune the settings to bring out more detail.     6. Add a Paper Background: Add a paper texture from Adobe Stock or your own image. Set the texture layer’s blend mode to Multiply to give your sketch a realistic background.    Bonus TipTo create a colored pencil effect, add the saturated photo under the pencil layer, change your pencil sketch layer’s blend mode to Luminosity and increase the saturation underneath it.    Give it a try and share your results here.
