Solved

Hi everyone! I'm a complete beginner in Illustrator and I am following the Adobe Illustrator CC - Essentials Training Course on Udemy. In one of the lectures he goes over how to use the shape builder tool to draw a Penrose ("impossible") triangle starting from a bunch of lines. I followed his exact steps, but the result came out different. Below you can see the setup: a bunch of lines with extra bits sticking out, which we want to delete.I hit ctrl+a to select everything, then with the shape builder I delete the bits sticking out, but the result is the image below, which has the pointy bit missing at the top.I cannot for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong. The "Gap detection" feature of the shape builder is turned on and set to Large.Any help appreciated. Thanks!

I am printing from Adobe Illustrator onto Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte with an Epson Ecotank 3850. I forgot to check borderless on my first print so second go round, I checked borderless and checked "do not scale" and "retain size", all the applicable settings. I have a 0.25" bleed set up with image expanded to the bleed. It printed to the edge, however my colors are all blown out and faded and gone is the crisp edges of the lettering which now has a faint "glow" around the edges.. I have searched and searched and all I can find is "it just automatically stretches the image when printing borderless" but I just don't want to accept that. I feel like there must be a setting either on the AI side or printer side that I am missing and the setting I chose is getting overidden? The ONLY things I changed between print 1 and print 2 was checking "borderless" and choosing "retain size" in the Settings>Expansion box (therefore unchecking auto expand) within the printer dialog box an

Hi all, I'm a lifelong PC user who just bought a new Mac Mini M4 pro. I would like to transfer my existing LrC Catalog and 1.5 TB of photos from my PC to my new Mac Mini M4 pro. I've searched this site but couldn't really find specifics to my exact situation so excuse me if this is redundant information etc.. Excuse my ignorance, but I would like some expert advise before I attempt this transfer since I've read conflicting information on this process. I would like to keep this simple and intend to just use my existing external formatted NTFS drive from my PC which contains my catalog and all my photos and copy those files to another APFS formatted external hard drive on the new Mac. My understanding is that that MacOS can read a NTFS drive but can't write to it so I'm assuming my intended method will work. That being said, most folks recommend formatting the PC external drive to exFat before I copy to the files to my new external APFS external drive on the

Hi, Inside Illustrator when any generative AI stuff is created, where all the creation history saved?I tried finding but unable to locate any.

Lightroom gives me this warning every time it starts up but I've already learned the hard way that if I don't limit the number of backups it will take over and flood my hard drive with endless backups which I don't want. A few recent backups is all I would ever want and actually have never used a catalog backup in all of the years I've used Lightroom. What do the experts say, just ignore this worning and continue to work with Lightroom and enjoy saving precious hard drive space?

After  "Reconnect missing files" runs it's search, there apparently is a file missing. When I try to search manually, I see a pop up (pic below).Problem is - Under "Files Missing from Catalog", there is NO file.   If I click the drop down carrot above "Original Location", and then click the "Delete from Catalog" option, I get a message saying "To remove items from the catalog, first select one or more of them". I would obviously do that if there was a file to click on. The box is blank.  I've tried the "Optimze" and "Repair" options in Catalog Manager. View / Hidden Files / has "Show all files" selectedCatalog is somewhat large with 42K pictures. Can anyone help with this? Thanks ahead of time..

Hello Adobe Firefly Team,If I don't have a Firefly subscription on January 4, 2026, will I get the1️⃣ “Unlimited image generations until Jan 15” offer?2️⃣ Will I be able to generate videos without limits during this time?3️⃣ Can these unlimited videos be used for commercial purposes?4️⃣ Which plan should I take to generate videos according to the screenshot I shared (Firefly Pro / Premium)? In this file, the vertical measurement should be 10.75 inches.  That is the correct dimension of the rectangle height.  Why doesn't my measurement (from the measurement tool) match it?  It is reading 10.69 inches. When I click on the rectangle path I can see that the lower left hand corner is not matching the nodes. How do I fix this?   https://illustrator.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:88e74ff3-a20c-4d63-a57b-3cf7066550bc

Cordialement

I am trying to find an easy way to get to a list of all my post/threads/activities.  When I search for it in this forum everyting is old and in google everthing tells me I should find it after clicking my profile picture. What am I missing?

I created a Curves Adjustment Layer (Curves 1) to lighten a layer (Layer 0 copy).  Part of the Layer is blown out and I want to remove the adjustment for that area (the green panel where the error message is in the screenshot).  When I try to erase on Curves 1 I get the message "could not use the eraser because the content of the layer is not directly editable."  I'm pretty sure I have used the eraser to remove an adjustment from an Adjustment Layer.  Am I wrong?   There is an upper layer (6312-Pano copy) but I erased the overlapping content in that area.  The only active layers are Layer 0 copy and Curves 1.  Why can't I erase on the adjustment layer to remove the adjustment for this area?

A few days before Christmas, i decided to move my ~30k photos from my local storage to Lightroom CC so that i can access and edit them from anywhere. So what i did for each of my main folder (ex: family, sports, etc): - export folder as catalog - import catalog in Lightroom CC This allowed me to move in batches of 1k-5k photos.   Now i realize i probably made a mistake. Because using Lightroom Classic is still useful.  So i think i should have simply turned on Sync in Lighroom Classic. And that's what i did now, expecting that it would sync only the "test" synced collection i just created. But it seems to be downloading the 30k pictures from the cloud.   I think that now i have 2 complete archive of my pictures, one local and one in the cloud, but with the way i've done things, Lighroom sees those as 2 different things and wont be happy until the remote archive is downloaded, or the local archive is uploaded. Which means what i have done so far was useless. So how can i

during the Black Friday sale for whatever reason the adobe customer service person gave me a business account which messed up my original account and now my website is down because it says I my payment method change but its giving me a hard time accessing the payment method from my original account I need to get it up and running ASAP

I just found out I can use Veo 3.1 and Sora, so I experimented. I only used it a few times and all my credits are gone. Not to mention the video I made with sora was a still image and not animated. I would like a refund of those lost and stolen credits. I only used 2800 credits based on my generation history, actually less becasue the first video was only 200 credits.

My plan was due to cancel Dec 3rd and an email was sent to my account. Today (Dec 31) on the same account, I got charged..... this isn't the first time Adobe has done this to me either. I honestly have to wonder how many thousands (millions?) of people Adobe "accidentally" (scams) charges that don't check their bank accounts. You can't email any sort of support and trying to get someone in those phone is hilarious. Each State's Attorney General should launch an investigation into Adobe's shady business practices.    <Title edited by mod>

Is there a way to change the units of the measurement tool to fractions rather than decimals?Or can you edit a dimension which is already in place to type the fraction in?I've not been successful at trying to edit the dimension or find a setting to change them to fractions.

Hi! I am trying to help my friend with a project for her kids graduating class of 2026, and they are swimmers. I created a laneline graphic, and I want to be able to make it curve into the shape of a 2. I thought maybe there woud be a way to do this by making a 2-shaped path, or maybe envelope distort, and I don't know if its because the laneline graphic is not one entity (it is still just all of the separate ellipses I made grouped together; when I tried to convert to shape, it refused, and of course when I tried to just make a compound path it turned them all the same color)? Or if there is a different way it can be done? I swear there is a way to make it into one shape/object, but honestly I forget how. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I tried to search, but couldn't find anything except for how to get repeating shapes on a path, which isn't what I'm looking for. Thank you!

Hello everyone.I've uploaded some vector templates to my portfolio. Some of them are being rejected for allegedly being too similar to other templates in the Adobe Stock collection. Objectively, I can understand some of the reasons. Initially, I thought multifunctional designs would be best for these cases, and in those situations, it's normal for them to indicate a certain similarity to other contributors' work. However, the following design was rejected for the same reason, as were several others. And all of them with the same explanation: "Similar content in our collection."This started to seem strange to me, so I decided to do thorough searches, both manually and using Google and Adobe recognition tools, as well as Artificial Intelligence. However, I couldn't find the similar content they mentioned. Perhaps I haven't searched correctly. I'd like to know if you've seen similar designs on the platform:I'd like to know your opinion, or if anyone has seen a design similar to this exampl
