Hi all, Hoping someone can help me.  I have an Adobe plan with Lightroom & Photoshop included.  Both have worked fine for years, however I now have a new PC (much more powerful than my last) & whilst Photoshop still works, Lightroom Classic is being very slow to launch (stuck ages on "reading preferences" on the splash screen, then any slider I click on in the development module is taking 2-3 minutes to ungrey itself out. Importing images is lightning quick, as is rendering 1:1 previews.  I've increased my cache & tweaked the GPU accelerator - no difference on either change. I've had to revert back to an old copy of LR5 which doesn't support the raw files I'm currently creating, meaning a very manual workflow including a raw to dng converter. A family member who's very techy worked with me for 2 hours on the weekend looking for solutions & doing checks - we cannot find anything. Can anyone suggest anything or can Adobe advise if t

Hi, I have about 50% of our users that when they save from powerpoint to PDF the font distorts. They all have Win10, office 2016 and latest version of Adobe reader. I have tried uninstalling Office, Adobe, checked/played with save settings in Powerpoint and Adobe especially the embed fonts but I cannot fix. Microsoft print-to-PDF fixes the font issue but creates other formatting issues.Screenshot of example below, you can see where some of the letters are touching each other. Any ideas?

I have a print design, A4 size in spreads, but I need a version to output as a PDF for distribution online. For the latter, I do not want spreads/facing pages.I know that I could export a PDF as single pages but I need to add headers on every page (as opposed to just one page on a spread) for the online version so the easiest thing would be to have an alternate layout. So, I create an alternate layout, make sure it's the active one I'm working on, go to document setup, deselect facing pages but - ACK! - it removes the facing pages from the orginal layout as well.I need almost idential layouts: one with spreads, one without. Is there no easy way to do this?

@Peter Kahrel , @Eugene Tyson , @Marc Autret  I'm sure this has been asked before, but I could not find a solution. I've never been able to post images to this forum. See https://github.com/Marshall-Brooks/Sandbox/issues/2 for images. I created (with help) a custom confimation script here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/autoclose-alert-message-and-custom-confirm-message/td-p/15255213 I needed the script to dynamically change size. The displayed text might be one line or 3 or 4 paragraphs when the script is called. I added the {multiline=true} parameter. See the link above for the results. If the link vanishes: var msg = win.add("statictext", undefined, message, {multiline: true});Probably works and autosizes, but the text is wrapping before it gets to half the width of the window.var msg = win.add("statictext", [5, 5, 500, 200], message, {multiline: true});Works fine, but I think the script will not

I started using Lightroom as followup for Photoshop Elements (catalog). I have moved al my photo's to Lightroom Cloud now, and even managed to get them (sort of) organised in albums. Now I expect to have no access to (fast) internet during my vacation. Would it be possible to move back to Classic, preferably by keeping access to my library in both environments (synchronising?). I accept that this will take time to download all photo's again to my laptop, but will I be able to maintain the structure in albums I made in the cloud version. Or will it be sufficient to create an album in the Cloud-verion that is available offline. Can I then import photo's from my camara to preview and edit in the cloud version? I am a bit puzzled as to how I can get this working in the most reliable way, i.e. that I can start working with my library independent of the availability of a (fast) internet connection.

Seems like there's a bug with vignette on the Lightroom application vs Lightroom Classic on Mac. Both apps and OSX is up to date. I called Lightroom support and they said it is working as designed, but told me I'm welcome to report it as a bug here.

I have installed an additional printer and now none of the print presets work. I get the following error message:"Print preset selection failed. Restoring the previous selection."And then nothing happens.Unable to set new presets either. All was working fine until I installed a new printer.Running Indesign 15.02 on a macAny ideas would be appreciated.TIA

Hi, hi! 🙂 I'm trying to copy form fields from one PDF to another but running into some odd trouble. The original PDF is 8 1/2 x 14 and it prints in landscape format.  The target PDF is basically the same as the original PDF with some minor updates - I made those updates to the Word version and then converted it to the new, target PDF. When I copy the form fields from the original PDF and paste them into the target PDF, the form fields change orientation.  I thought maybe rotating the target PDF and then pasting in the form fields might work but, upon pasting them in, the form fields are rotated as well.  What can I do to make the form fields paste correctly into the target PDF? Thank you so much!!

Illustrator changes the image resolution on its own when placing it , but not all the images !!I placed an image  with 300 ppi into illustrator and it changed to 72 ppi, that of course changed the size significantly.P.S. - I used place command in file menu, i dragged the image directly to illustrator and used the open command in file menu, same result - I checked the page resolution and the document raster effects, they both 300- I tried another vector software it didn't change the image resolution.- I saved it as TIFF from photoshop (which read the size and resolution correctly) and illustrator got it right !! but i need it jpg !!So, what could be the problem here ??

I've been noticing while editing one of my videos that the background has went from all black to transparent. I don't even know what happened and it's suddenly no longer black. Without a color matte, the background outside of the video is transparent. Any way that I can fix this?

I have crated a new presentation on adobe express. I'd like to it to play through the slides continuously and I would also like to upload to youtube. At the moment I have to click between each slide and it also wont upload to youtube as its the wrong type of file. Can anyone help with this?

I have good input signal, I can hear all my mics very well, the recording is being made and I can hear it playback perfectly. Why are my waveforms so small? They're almost non-existent. I'm guessing I'm missing something pretty simple here. But I'm just getting started, and I can't figure this out. Would be hard to edit this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This server is running ColdFusion 2021 Update 18. I'm attempting to edit an existing Service provider in the SP Configuration section of the Administrator. the page throws the following error in the Application log:  "Error","http-nio-8544-exec-5","04/17/25","08:40:48","cfadmin","Variable KEYSTOREPATH is undefined. The specific sequence of files included or processed is: F:\ColdFusion2021\cfusion\wwwroot\CFIDE\administrator\security\spedit.cfm, line: 487"and a similar error in the coldfusion-out log: "Error","http-nio-8544-exec-5","04/17/25","08:40:48","cfadmin","Variable KEYSTOREPATH is undefined. The specific sequence of files included or processed is: F:\ColdFusion2021\cfusion\wwwroot\CFIDE\administrator\security\spedit.cfm, line: 487"When I orginally configured this the keystore entry was present. The configuration works, our developers are able to write code against the SP Config, but editing it is not possible.

I'm having issues with a spot color. I need to print something on a press.  It was advised that I change the logo colors to all one shade of green and then set the green to a different color percentage so that my press guy only has two screens to burn (one for red and one for green). But I'm not sure how I acheive the correct colors of green when I change the color percent.  The logo is attached below. It was advised that I change it all to the darkest green and then change the percentage but I can't get the correct colors of green when I do that.  Help!!

Hello, This is my first post on here. I've been using Lightroom Classic for a while, and am happy with most of the  results although I'm far more of a "try it and see" editor than knowing all the theory. My project is making a photobook from a lot of scanned negatives and slides, mainly colour, from the '80s and '90s. I bought a scanner and am happy with the results. I'm exporting as .tiff files, as positives. There is some editing within the scanner software, but it doesn't seem too intrusive. Many of the images are good - well exposed and in focus. Others are out of focus, or have motion blur. When experimenting with the "Shake Reduction" option in Photoshop a few years ago, I got some great results, to the extent that many images I dismissed as rubbish back in the day now looked very good. I've also had some success with Topaz De-noise and Sharpen. My questions are: 1) What are the best De-noise options to use? Is there a Lightroom Classic function that effe

I am doing a tutorial. In that "Shape Layer" was created and named it "Rectangle". I do not think it is correct because a Shape Layer can contain any number of different shapes, giving a specific name is not acceptable. What do you think?

Sorry...I thought this would be super elementry but I can't find the answer anywhere. I've been using Photoshop for 15 years now but lately when I rotate a picture, it is rotating around some random point, not the center. It's doing this on different computers and different accounts. I'm sure the answer is super simple but all i can find is changing the rotation point in transform...not general rotation. Thanks and sorry for being stupid, This is probabaly like looking for your keys and discovering them in your hand

Hello, I've just reset my InDesign preferences (in case that was the source of my problem) but that did not change anything.Every time I go in "edit > shortcuts", InDesign immediatly stop to respond and I have to force-quit it....  Im on Mac OS Sequoia (and i've just upgrade my OS a few days ago, maybe it's because of this?)Anyone having the same issue ?
