Since version 27.4 and continuing in 27.5 I’ve been experiencing image flickering when using the Curves adjustment. In version 27.4, the issue occurs in all Curves use cases. In 27.5, it appears primarily when applying Curves as a Smart Adjustment on a Smart Object. It is slightly improved, but still noticeable when using Curves as a standard adjustment layer.I’ve attached a video demonstrating the issue: The first example shows Curves applied as a Smart Adjustment on a Smart Object (strong flickering). The second shows a direct adjustment on a non-Smart Object layer (no issue). The third shows a standard adjustment layer (minor flickering still visible). I was using the Filter Aberration parametric filter extensively and suddenly stopped working. I’ve tried everything I can think of to get it working, but it just won’tAll of the other parametric filters work just fine, but when I click on the Filter Aberration Chromatic nothing happens, over and over.I’ve tried all of the following:Reset preferences Delete preferences Restore Default Filters from the Parametric Filters flyout menu Upgrade to newest version of Photoshop (currently on 27.9.1) Uninstall and reinstall Photoshop Update my graphics drivers to the most current (RTX 4070 Laptop w/ drivers dated July 22, 2026) I’ve tried on numerous files, including low res files Plenty of web searches looking for solutionsI can open and edit the Filter Aberration Chromatic properties on my existing files, but I can’t ever seem to get it working with new files.Is there anything else I can try?Any temporary files or something that the parametric filters use that maybe I can delete? Last week it began returning unexpected results when tasked with fixing a small area. I noticed two things:First: it can’t help but hallucinate. It will reliably return a snake, a bow and arrow, a jar of something or what not. Usually in situations were it used to reliably fill in a texture perfectly and out perform Firefly Fill & Expand.Second, it seems to have lost the ability to seamlessly retian texture over a small area. Often it comes back mangled or oversharpened if it doesn’t have an ice pick or a toaster thrown in.Anyone else seeing this? It seemed like a pretty sudden server side thing so please please please don’t ask me to post 10 pages of my system info efectively killing this thread.

I’m using Photoshop v 27.9.1 on my Windows 11 Pro laptop. I noticed yesterday that when I open a file via the “Recent” section of Photoshop’s Homepage, I cannot use Undo via Ctrl Z. I can only get Ctrl Z to work if I: minimize / maximize Photoshop, tab to another program and back to Photoshop, or undock and redock file tab. It’s almost like the Ctrl Z keyboard command doesn’t relate it’s to Photoshop unless I do those things. Possibly due to my file being a tab? Ctrl Z works no matter how I open the file if I have the file set to show as a window first instead of a tab.The only way I can get Ctrl Z to work consitently as a tab now is by opening a file via “File, Open / Open Recent” or starting a whole new file to work on. This issue happens more times than it doesn’t now. There were sometimes when I opened a file via the recent section of the home page and Ctrl Z worked right when I went to use it. HELP WITH REINSTALLING OLD PHOTOSHOP VERSION 26.2 (2024) After updating Photoshop software to 26.3 (2025) from Photoshop (2024) (old version deleted in the process) it came up with the following message when opening Photoshop: "macOS 14.6.1 or later is recommended for maximum performance and correct operation of Adobe Photoshop 2025. An earlier version of macOS was detected." As I'm not able to update to macOS 14.6.1 (see operating info below), I decided to uninstall Photoshop 26.3 (2025) and reinstall the older version Photoshop 26.2 (2024) so I would have no issues using Photoshop. The app shows that I have installed the 2024 version and that an update is available, showing it correctly, HOWEVER when I open Photoshop, it's actually the new version 2025!I have uninstalled and reinstalled (via 'other versions' on the app in Creative Cloud), restarted the computer several times without any success to get the old software back. Question:Is there another way to go

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting in this forum so I’ll do my best to explain my issue. Today I encountered an unrelated issue regarding Photoshop brushes having seemingly random inputs. So, after a little reading, I saw that the solution seemed to be updating my drivers. I checked my laptop and saw there was a backlog of updating so I went ahead and installed those as needed. After rebooting and launching Photoshop, my brushes were fixed but I noticed the whites on my canvas, color picker, and layer thumbnails were tinted blue. I searched this forum and found someone else encountered this on this thread but the posted solution there did not work for me. Instead, I found a YouTube video from 9 years ago addressing a similar issue (instead of blue, it was yellow). They went into Device Manager and added sRGB profile to their monitor and set that as default instead of the monitor’s native profile. That semi-worked for me. I have several M1 Macs—from Mac mini to iMac—and they all have the same issue. Whenever I open Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign, even if I don’t do anything, WindowServer will jump to around 80–90% GPU usage. Once I start working with files, even just opening a single image, the whole system becomes choppy and starts dropping frames, with GPU usage almost maxed out.But : if I switch the app to full-screen with menu bar mode (press F), the window shadows disappear, GPU usage drops back to normal, and everything runs smoothly—even with large files open. This makes it pretty clear the issue is related to how window shadows are being handled in macOS 26 and how it interacts with Adobe apps.It’s been months since Adobe 26 came out, and I’ve been waiting for updates to fix this, but even the latest versions still haven’t solved it. Using Save As Photoshop PDF, I was able to save PDFs above 50,000 pixels wide yesterday using 27.8.After updating to 27.9.1 this morning I could no longer save a Photoshop PDF above approximately30,000 pixels wide  (Photoshop PDF was no longer an option in the dropdown). After reverting back to 27.8 I can now save PDFs from files over 50,000 pixels wide again.

In Photoshop 2026 (ps ver 27.9.1) and Photoshop Beta 27.11 on both Mac and Windows, when you create a Clarity and Dehaze Adjustment layer, painting on any layer masks below that Clarity and dehaze Adjustment Layer results in the effects of said Clarity and dehaze adjustment Layer turning off until one stops painting on a layer mask, which of course makes it quite difficult to erase or add to a layer mask when one doesn’t see the results “live”. In addition, the same thing happens if one uses the Properties panel to adjust either the Density or Feather of any of the layer masks below the Clarity and dehaze Adjustment layer.  Clarity and dehaze Adjustment Layer added with and adjustment to both the Clarity and Dehaze sliders   Painting on or trying to adjust the properties of any Layer Mask below the Clarity and dehaze Adjustment Layer hides the effects of said layer.

v279.9.1 is extremly broken! undo whatever youve done because it it extremely unusable. wacom interaction is slow, sluggish and unresponcive. Ctrl Z doesnt function AT ALL. I did not stay to find out what else is broken. I rebooted the wacom and computer, tried old and new documents and realised the fault is you and not me. It was especially aparent when i loaded the old version of photoshop and it works perfectly.

The following issue is most likely caused by a user error (aka Me), but for the life of me I cannot figure out what action I am performing to cause the subject error.  At some point small random square anomalies appear in all my edited images and such are saved with the file upon performing export operations.  See the attached edited image and zoom into the sky to see such anomalies for examples, with anomalies existing in other areas as well.  Any thoughts on what is causing these anomalies and how to resolve this issue?  Thanks ahead of time for your response.

I just upgraded to Photoshop 27.9.1 and the HUD color picker center square is mostly white, with some color fading in on the right and bottom edges of the square. The regular color picker on the tool menu still works fine.
