Photoshop

Can someone tell me what I need to do in Photoshop to get rid of the emboss effect in this image of text?This is an image file of text I got from a client's logo and removed the other elements. I am trying to make it solid black so I can print it, but the original image has an emboss effect that created white spots that I can't get rid of. I added a color overlay and that didn't fix it. I selected each letter and used Fill/Black, that didn't work. Any type of selection tool I use only selects the black, and leaves the white unselected so it doesn't get filled. Is there a way to select an outline of the image AND include the transparent space?I tried to recreate the text with the text too but lI can't get that font exact . . . there's something with the tail on the R that I can't find or replicate. TIA!

Whenever I use Save a Copy in Photoshop, I am using it to save an exact version of a file, but in a different format.   Is there a way to turn off adding "copy" to the existing file name when I use Save a Copy?  As of right now, I have to delete it manually and then save (or save and change file name after).   Thank you

I recently had issues with photoshop crashing as soon as the loading screen was done. It showed no errors at all. I reached out to support twice and eventually after installing a much older (2023) version which did actually show an error we found it it was ICC profile issues.Note: This also caused issues in Lightroom where none of the thumbnails would be visible.I fixed this setting the ICC colour management in Windows settings to Automatic and then restarting the graphics drivers (Win + Ctrl + Shift + B)Then everything worked. So if you have this issue try this!

It works in the Beta program of Photoshop but not Photoshop CC 2026.   I like using Photoshop because it has this extension for Kubota Dashboard and I want to see it be able to continue--I have a lot of presets I've invested in in the Kubota dashboard.  

Ik heb mijn oude iMac 27" vervangen door de laatste beschikbare 27" versie met een 500 GB interne SSD (non-upgradable omdat deze erin is gesoldeerd, net als bij alle nieuwe iMacs van tegenwoordig). De hoeveelheid beschikbare ruimte is 80 GB (419 GB in gebruik). 40 GB RAM ter beschikking en 8-core Intel Core I-7 processor.Bij het gebruik van Photoshop krijg ik steeds vaker de mededeling dat de werkschijf vol is. Een week geleden heb ik een 2e harde schijf als werkschijf aangemerkt (6-TB harde schijf, 4,8-TB beschikbaar). Dit gaf een bevredigend resultaat en ik kon weer verder met Photoshop.Nu krijg ik WEER de mededeling dat de werkschijf vol is en als ik bij de werkschijven kijk staat alleen de SSD er in en is de externe schijf verdwenen.Ik heb nog 5 andere schijven aan deze computer hangen, maar geen van deze worden gezien als geschikt voor Photoshop.De help-functie blijft maar terug cirkelen naar een externe schijf als werkschijf te gebruiken, MAAR ZE ZEGGEN NIET HOE JE DIE HERKENBAAR

Is Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 compatable with Photoshop Version 27.2?If so, how do I properly set it up?If not, what version of Photoshop do I need to go back to?My Nvidia graphics card worked previously, but with Photoshop Beta installed.Maybe I need to reinstall it instead? Thanks for any help 🙂

Hello! I've always been a gamer who usually buys higher end GPUs but stopped gaming and bought a PC without GPU for editing and general surfing, but now when I'm editing with the on-board GPU on my CPU I can really feel the difference from my latest 7800 XT from my last gaming pc.I'm looking for a good enough GPU for LR/PS with some lighter AI features Current setup is;R5 760032gb DDR51TB M.2 Are cards like 3060 12gb or 5060 Ti (8gb version) good enough?Photos are 24MP rawThanks in advance.

Hi everyone,I’m using Filter > Vanishing Point and I’m running into an issue I can’t figure out.I create the first plane normally. Then I extend it by dragging a corner to create a second plane. Photoshop automatically creates the corner points for this new plane, but I can’t move or adjust those points — they seem locked to the original plane’s perspective.What’s confusing me is that in every tutorial I watch, people are able to move and adjust the corner points on the second plane freely, while in my case only the original plane’s points are editable.Is this expected behavior in certain situations (image type, plane angle, resolution, Photoshop version)?Or could this be a setting or limitation I’m missing?Thanks!

I am working on texturing/painting something for a video game. Within the photo I used a single color as a base coat (fiest phto) for an area but I wish to texture it similar to other parts (inside the red circle in the second photo). My thought would be to copy an area somehow and just use that as a brush to paint over the area that I need (like a bunch of copy and paste but faster?). This is very zoomed in an there is a lot of area to paint, so it would just be a huge time saver as a brush than trying to blur/smudge or copy/paste. I tried the clone tool but it doesnt cover a lot of area at a time because it pics up other parts of the photo.  

I have an image of an asphalt texture. I want to create a wet effect, as if the asphalt is after rain, while also adding a nighttime effect, with light falling approximately in the center, like from a street lamp. I would really appreciate a detailed answer.

I use photoshop 2022 all several years on my windows 10 Home laptop. I have bought a new faster laptop, with more memory and with windows 11 Home. On this new laptop photoshop CC is refusing to open any kind of jpg or png or pretty much anything except a psd file. I can start up photoshop, but when I load for example a jpg-file after some seconds the application crashed. Activating or deactivating GPU settings in photoshop (PS) and load jpg-file, PS crashed again. Setting ‘GPU gebruiken (use)’ on or off reaction is the same!!!  PS application crashed. Switching Open CL on or off, PS crashed again. Installing/updating of graphics driver did not solve the issue.   In Windows Log-book I see : "Toepassingsnaam met fout: Photoshop.exe, versie: 23.0.1.68, tijdstempel: 0x618562eb Naam van foutmodule: ntdll.dll, versie: 10.0.26100.7019, tijdstempel: 0x9c8f8241 Uitzonderingscode: 0xc0000374 .....  Hi everyone,Is anyone else experiencing this issue with Photoshop? It keeps corrupting/glitch or changing the fonts whenever I switch to a different one. Even after quitting Photoshop and reopening the file, the problem persists and happens repeatedly.It’s extremely frustrating—especially when I’m trying to get work done. I use Photoshop on both Mac and PC, and this issue occurs on both systems.Has anyone found a solution or workaround for this?

Hi everyone,I'm writing to report a frustrating performance issue I've been dealing with since updating to Photoshop 2024.Whenever I work on a project with multiple artboards that has a decent amount of content (layers, groups, effects), the performance takes a nosedive. Simple tasks like panning the canvas or moving an artboard result in severe stuttering and lag. It feels very unoptimized.I never had this problem with the 2023 version on the exact same machine. My PC is powerful enough (Spec: [CPU i7 12/GPU 3070]) to handle these files, so it seems to be a software regression.Has anyone found a fix for this? Is Adobe aware that the Artboard performance is broken in the new versions?Thanks.

I updated PS to 27 on a MAC. Now all of my settings are gone. All of my shortcuts, workspaces and actions are gone. It's like a fresh install and I need all of this back. How do I get all of this back. Workspaces, shortcuts, and actions? It also reset my working profile from Adobe RGB to sRGB. I've fixed this, but it's madenning.

Hi, I am unable to see any plugins for Photoshop, and get an error "Access RestrictedPlugins are unavailable for your user type"despite having a Photography Plan subscription ! I tried several times yesterday and today. Rather annoying as I need a plugin for my work.Does anybody else have this problem ?  

I recently bought a new computer and have installed the Creative Cloud apps on the new device.  When I navigate to a folder containing PSB/PSD files, the document icons are blank white pages, as shown in the screenshot.  Does this mean there is a porblem?  Also, when I right click on a file in Lightroom Classic, "Edit in Photoshop" is grayed out, as shown in the second screenshot.  Files do open in Photoshop however, but I would like to be able to open them from Lightroom.  Does anyone know what the problem might be?  Thanks.     

Im trying to edit some of my pictures and the dress ended up being too short to where it exposes a small portion of me under,. I wanted to maybe copy a piece of the dress and add it onto the photo to lengthen the dress in a way but im not sure how to. 

Greetings Adobe Community, I was preparing a file in Photoshop for After Effects, removing the white background into transparency. During this time, I had the December RTX driver installed, Release 582.08. This is also the same driver set that does not allow CUDA to be accessible for exporting in Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. Photoshop would crash when attempting to remove the background of a main subject. Once this action was activated, a Photoshop crash report would generate and give the option to send to Microsoft (we use Windows Enterprise). Most of the time the front-end of the crash report would freeze and Photoshop had to be shut down using Task Manager. In some cases, the report was sendable. I cannot get a snippet of this report anymore as we have since roll backed to the September video driver, 581.42, the roll back driver that still allows CUDA export. So two problems were fixed rolling back 581.42, as the Photoshop crash also stopped occuring. So
