Ask Your Scans Anything: Meet Adobe Scan AI Assistant

About this articleRead time: ~3 minutesPublished: May 12, 2026   TL;DR: AI Assistant in Adobe Scan is a generative AI feature in the Adobe Scan Android app that lets you ask questions about any scanned document by voice or text and get answers with citations. Think receipts, forms, handwritten notes, multi-page contracts: scan it, ask it, done.Ever scanned a 12-page rental agreement and spent 20 minutes hunting for the security deposit clause? That's exactly what AI Assistant in Adobe Scan is built for : you scan, you ask “what’s the deposit amount?” and it answers with citations pointing to the source. It’s not a new app, but a generative AI layer baked into the Adobe Scan mobile app you already use. The unique bit: AI Assistant only reasons over your scanned document and shows numbered citations pointing back to the exact section, so you can verify before you trust. What is AI Assistant in Adobe Scan?AI Assistant in Adobe Scan is a generative AI feature in the Android app that lets you ask questions about scanned documents via voice or text, returning answers with cited sources from the scan. What’s Causing the “Something Went Wrong” Error in Firefly?

What’s Causing the “Something Went Wrong” Error in Firefly?

We've seen a lot of posts recently from users running into the dreaded "Something went wrong. Please try again later." error while generating images or videos. You're not alone. This is one of the most reported issues in the community, and we want to help you understand why it happens and what you can do about it. Why does this happen? There isn't just one cause. Here are the most common ones:Server overload / high demand During peak usage times, Firefly's generation servers (and partner model servers) can get overwhelmed, causing requests to time out. This is usually temporary.   Expired login session / browser cache Your authentication token can expire mid-session, causing Firefly to fail silently. A stale cache can also trigger this unexpectedly.   Prompt contains restricted content Prompts mentioning children, trademarked product, or other restricted terms will be blocked by Firefly's content policy, often with this generic error.   Problematic reference image An ambiguous, low-quality, or complex reference image can confuse the model, leading to a failed generation, sometimes after a long loading delay.  What to tryWait a few minutes and try again. It may be a temporary server issue Fully close and relaunch your browser to clear the cache Log out of Adobe and log back in to refresh your session token Switch to a different browser (e.g. Chrome → Edge or Firefox) Simplify or rephrase your prompt, removing brand names or restricted words Try using a clearer, simpler reference image On Windows: reset your Firewall to default settings  For real-time updates on any ongoing server issues, please refer to the official Adobe Status page at http://status.adobe.com/ Worried about credit deductions when generations failed?Credits are deducted when you hit Generate, but if the generation fails, they are automatically returned to your balance. If you believe the credits weren't restored, please create a new post and share your prompt, the model you used, and an error screenshot with our support team. If none of the above work, please create a post on the community with the following information:Your browser & OS version The Firefly model you're using Your prompt (or a screenshot) Whether you're using a reference imageWe're here to help. The more details you share, the faster we can investigate.  Thanks,Kartika

Stop Reading PDFs. Start Listening to Them.

About this articleRead time: ~3 min Published: May 8, 2026 TL;DR: Podcasts in Adobe Acrobat mobile turns the documents inside a PDF Space into AI-generated audio you can listen to on the go. Pick Highlights for a quick summary or Deep dive for a longer walkthrough then edit the transcript so it sounds exactly how you want. Reading a 40-page spec. or listening to it like a podcast while you walk to your next meeting? That’s the move. Acrobat on mobile now lets you turn the contents of a PDF Space into a custom AI-generated podcast built around the focus you define, for the audience you choose, on iOS and Android. We would love to hear what’s working, what’s weird, and what you wish it did next. Drop your thoughts in the reply, we are listening. What is “Podcasts” in PDF Spaces?Podcasts in PDF Spaces is an AI Assistant feature in Adobe Acrobat on mobile that converts the documents grouped inside a PDF Space into a listenable, audio-first version of that content. Each podcast is generated from the PDF Space’s source documents, comes with a full editable transcript, and lives inside the Creations area of that Space, so the audio stays connected to the documents it came from. (See the official Adobe Help doc.) How does it work?Open a PDF Space in Acrobat Reader on iOS or Android, sign in to your Adobe account, then tap Creations in the bottom menu. (New to Spaces? See Create PDF Spaces on mobile.) Select Add content > Podcast, then describe what the podcast should focus on and who it’s for. Turn Your PDFs Into a Smart, Shareable Workspace

Turn Your PDFs Into a Smart, Shareable Workspace

About This Article  Read time: ~3 minPublished: May 8, 2026   TL;DR: PDF Spaces in Adobe Acrobat Mobile brings PDFs, photos, webpages, and notes into one AI-powered workspace you can customize and share right from your phone. Add your sources, let AI Assistant summarize and answer questions grounded in your content, then share with role-based permissions.Nobody wants to open multiple PDFs on their phone to find one paragraph. That’s the whole problem PDF Spaces solves. Instead of a folder you scroll past, you get one workspace where AI reads everything for you, and you just ask. This post is part announcement, part open discussion, we want to hear what’s working and what we should improve next. What is PDF Spaces in Acrobat Mobile?PDF Spaces is an AI-powered workspace inside Adobe Acrobat Mobile (Android and iOS) that lets you collect PDFs, scanned documents, photos, webpage links, and text snippets into one place then use AI Assistant to summarize, answer questions, and generate two-speaker podcasts grounded only in your sources. Per the Adobe Help docs, it’s available in the Acrobat mobile app today. How does PDF Spaces work?Open PDF Spaces from the Acrobat Mobile homepage and add content, supported files, scanned docs, gallery photos or fresh camera scans, webpage URLs, or pasted text. Review the Overview page with auto-generated AI text and audio summaries. Tap the chat panel to ask AI Assistant anything about your sources. Customize the experience by reordering items, editing the summary, fine-tuning the audio transcript, or adding notes, text blocks, and a custom podcast. Share with the right permissions pick a link-access level and a role to send via direct link, email invite, or apps like Outlook, Gmail, Teams, or WhatsApp.  Why this matters: Most AI PDF tools are readers, you ask and they answer. PDF Spaces flips that into an authored experience: you curate what your recipient sees first. That makes it less of a chatbot and more of a narrative-led briefing tool, useful for client handoffs, study packs, and onboarding kits. Learn moreCreate PDF Spaces on mobileCustomize PDF Space experiencesShare PDF Spaces on mobileAcrobat Mobile release notesTell us what you thinkThis is built real workflows, so real-world signal matters. Her oimage Adobe Premiere 26.2.2 update

What's New in Adobe Premiere 26.2.2 – May 2026

Version 26.2.2 fixes a critical stability issue that was causing Premiere to hangIf you've been battling freezes and hangs in Premiere 26.2 or 26.2.0, this one's for you.The FixAdobe has released Premiere 26.2.2, which addresses a critical stability issue that was causing the application to hang. If you updated to 26.2 or 26.2.0 and found yourself staring at a frozen timeline — or worse, reverting to an older version just to get a job out the door — this patch is specifically aimed at that. The fix came out of internal engineering diagnostics and was corroborated by a clear pattern in community reports. You weren't imagining it, and you weren't alone. Why It MattersStability fixes don't get the spotlight that new features do, but for working editors they're often the most important updates Adobe ships. A hang mid-edit isn't just an annoyance — it's lost time, broken focus, and in deadline-driven work, it can cost real money. The fact that multiple users independently identified 26.0.2 as stable while 26.2.x was the common denominator gave engineering a strong signal to work from. What You Should DoIf you're on 26.2 or 26.2.0, update to 26.2.2 now. You can grab it through the Creative Cloud desktop app. If you downgraded to 26.0.2 to stay productive — a completely reasonable call — it's worth testing 26.2.2 on a non-critical project before fully committing back to the latest version.Full release notes are available here: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere/desktop/whats-new/release-notes.html What the Community Was SayingThe thread volume around this issue made it hard to miss. Community members reported hangs triggered by basic actions — dragging clips on the timeline, clicking the bug report button, just navigating the interface. Several editors noted that 26.0.2 ran perfectly and used that comparison to make a clear case that the regression was version-specific, not environmental. A couple of posts that captured it well:"Constant crashes on version 26.2.0" — Tjay documented crashes happening every single time a clip was dragged on the timeline, across both new and existing projects: https://community.adobe.com/bug-reports-728/constant-crashes-on-version-26-2-0-1558068"Instability and slowdown issues in the interface" — Fabrice290640085dc3 reported general interface instability and slowdowns starting immediately after the 26.2.0 update: https://community.adobe.com/bug-reports-728/since-the-update-i-ve-been-experiencing-instability-and-slowdown-issues-in-the-interface-premiere-26-2-build-65-1558015  Thank you to everyone who filed reports and kept the thread details clean and specific. That kind of documentation directly helps engineering triage and prioritize fixes like this one. Have you updated to 26.2.2 yet? If you were affected by the freezing issue, let us know in the comments whether the fix resolved it for you — or if you're still seeing problems, share your setup details so the team can take a closer look. Thanks again for updating Premiere.

This slider controls how closely the output follows the input image. Higher values allow more creative freedom.Sample Prompts Choose from a variety of sample prompts to quickly achieve your desired results or explore different creative directions.Generate Without a Prompt You can now generate results without writing a prompt: If the input is a sketch, it will be refined into a cleaner, more usable version. If the input is an image, the output will be a stylized, cartoon-like version.Flux 2 Pro & Gemini 3.1 Models Flux 2 Pro & Gemini 3.1 are now available in the list of models to choose from.Fixed UV Fixes:[Vote Count : 8] : Can't open file / The account you signed in with doesn't have access to this fileThis build includes the memory bloat issue fix. While Illustrator is expected to consume higher memory for very large and asset-heavy documents, memory usage should stabilize appropriately once documents are closed. The continued accumulation of memory even with no files open was observed in some cases. We’ve addressed the primary accumulation scenario. During our continued investigation, we also identified a separate class of smaller memory growth patterns in certain workflows, typically in the range of ~10–12 GB over extended sessions. These are different from the original issue, and we have already identified the associated workflows and are actively working on additional fixes for an upcoming release. Please try it and let us know if the issue is resolved. We’ve tested it on our end and it is working as expected.

Release Notes - April 2026

Release Notes - April 2026

This month's update includes a redesigned Generative Fill interface with reference image support and an updated model picker in the contextual task bar. Rotate Object received visual and interaction refinements, and a broad set of stability and workflow issues have been resolved across Generative AI, Adjustments, Actions, and Type. Feature Updates & Additions Generative Fill: Redesigned InterfaceThe Generative Fill dialog has been redesigned. Reference images are now accessible directly in the interface, with no need to switch to a separate panel. The model picker now appears in the contextual task bar alongside the prompt. A curated set of models replaces the previous long scrolling list, making it faster to switch between Firefly, Gemini, and other available options. Your generative AI credit balance is now visible in the contextual task bar while you work. Firefly Image 3 is no longer available in the Generative Fill model picker. The new default model is Firefly Fill & Expand.Rotate ObjectRotate Object now has a rich tooltip. Hovering the icon shows a brief explanation of the feature along with a link to documentation. The bounding box, boundary affordances, and icon for Rotate Object have been visually refined for better clarity. Photoshop now shows a "low-resolution preview" notice when Rotate Object is active on the FLOW canvas.TypeThe Dynamic Text icon now has a redesigned tooltip explaining what Dynamic Text does and how to use it.Properties PanelExposure adjustment controls have been updated to use the new modern properties panel style, consistent with the rest of the redesigned panel system.Remove ToolGeneral Distractors now requires the same GPU hardware as People Removal. On systems without a compatible GPU, the option will be grayed out rather than producing unexpected results. Bug Fixes CrashesResolved multiple crashes: in the Filter Gallery, when scrolling certain panels, during Layers panel menu operations, when canceling an in-progress generation from the Properties panel, when reopening a JPEG after File > Close on Windows, in the Adjustments panel when switching tools, and when dragging images into a document on Windows ARM.Generative AIReference images added via the Properties panel are no longer permanently deleted when generating the first variation. Uploading a reference image or using Style Effects no longer causes Photoshop to freeze. The Properties panel text area is now responsive after a reference image is deleted, and the correct dialog now appears when switching models while a reference image is active. On Windows, typing in an existing prompt no longer inserts text at the beginning of the field, and placeholder text now displays correctly in the Properties panel. Prompt edits now sync correctly between the Properties panel and the contextual task bar. The contextual task bar remains visible after switching between Generative Fill and Generate Image. Variations now load correctly when Photoshop is relaunched while a progress bar is active. The prompt area no longer expands unexpectedly after adding a reference image. Several Properties panel layout issues have been corrected: the prompt box is no longer offset to the right, the scroll bar in the text prompt area is restored, and text typed into the prompt field no longer disappears after clicking Generate. The panel is also no longer interactive during an active generative operation on Windows. The Generative AI hub now opens correctly from the Properties panel and home screen, and no longer reopens unexpectedly when the app regains focus. Credit amounts for Gemini 3.1 and Firefly Image 5 are now displayed accurately. The credit hub dialog no longer appears cut off. The Photoshop icon in the hub no longer shows as an Illustrator icon. Non-Adobe accounts can no longer access the Generative AI hub. Generating on a blank canvas with Firefly Image 5 now works correctly. Background removal no longer triggers unintentionally when using a reference image. The GenAI Hub no longer appears blank in non-English locales. Interruption dialogs for credit exhaustion and quota limits have been removed from the workflow.Rotate ObjectSwitching documents while in Rotate Object edit mode now keeps the edit session active and displays the overlay correctly. The Generative AI credit hub now launches from the Rotate Object Properties panel, and the Rotate, Spin, and Tilt fields are now properly aligned.Other FixesSaving an Adjustment Preset for the Green channel in Curves now works correctly. (Thanks for the community report.) The Hue/Saturation panel no longer crashes when using the color picker or eyedropper. A preview issue in the Clarity and Dehaze panel has been corrected. The "Reset Color and Vibrance" option no longer appears when unavailable, and canvas size units now stay in sync with the Rulers setting. The Essentials action set now loads correctly in release builds. "Insert Action" is correctly translated in all supported languages. Type path direction icons (Start, End, Midpoint) now update correctly after reversing text direction. The toast notification after creating a new gradient now dismisses correctly. If you have questions about anything in these notes, or feel like we left something out, drop a comment below.
