Photoshop

After drawing a line with the line tool, changing the stroke thickeness doesn't do anything. Infact it looks like a box shape was drawn instead of just a line.  Has this always been the case? or is this a bug. I"m on version 21.2.0

Please reinstall the application.”I have already tried the following steps, but the problem persists:Uninstalled Photoshop through the Creative Cloud Desktop App.Selected “Remove preferences” during uninstallation.Used the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to remove Photoshop and Creative Cloud completely.Restarted the computer.Manually deleted all remaining Adobe Photoshop folders from:C:\Program Files\Adobe\Tried reinstalling Photoshop (latest version, and also older versions from “Other versions”), but the same error still appears when I try to open it.I have an active paid Creative Cloud subscription and just want Photoshop to work again.Could you please help me completely reset or repair my Photoshop installatio

Bonjour, Voilà, mon probleme est le suivant: L'orsque j'ouvre une photo, et que je veux l'imprier, je vais dans fichier/Impression, et là rien ne se passe.Si j'essaie une deuxieme fois, l'option impression est grisée. Si je ferme la photo et la réouvre, il se passe à nouveau la même chose. Donc impossible d'imprimer.MacBook Pro M4MacOs 15.6.1Epson SC-P400Photoshop 26.11Le pilote de l'imprimente est à jour pour Os 15.6.1. Si vous avez des idées !!??? Ce qui est étonnant c'est que je n'ai pas de message d'erreur lorsque la boite de dialogue d'impression ne s'ouvre pas.D'ailleur, lors d'un message de PS on coche la case "ne plus afficher", comment faire machine arrière, et avoir à nouveau le message qui s'affiche  Merci à vous de m'avoir lu, et de vous lire bientôt... 

When i try to change the text leading, i see this message: value between 0,00 point and 6,72 Points is required.And the software doesnt let me change the leading above that value. In this value, the texts becomes unreadable because the lines overlap. 

Hi everyone. I've searched the forums for an answer to this, but most-- if not all suggest going to your old PC and deactivating it that way.  This is not possible as I have done a fresh install of Windows 11 on my computer, wiping my old installation of CS6. My account shows only the MAC OS serial number is registered.  When I enter the serial number for the Windows version, I get the "already in use on maxium of two computers" error.   When I check the "Activated Devices" tab on my account, it says I have no activated devices. Am I just totally out of luck, and cannot use my old license because I don't have the old PC anymore? I appreciate any help on the subject.

I had a project saved to the cloud with multiple layers. I was adjusting the top layer's hue/saturation, then all of a sudden the project flattened and I could not revert back no matter what I tried. All the layers are gone. 

I am at my wits end, about 50% of the time I change from one tool to another this dialogue box pops up and completely breaks my workflow. I have updated photoshop to the most recent release. How on earth do I fix this 

Hi,  As a digital painter heavily reliant on Photoshop, I've always valued the software's precision and responsiveness. However, I've encountered a significant issue with the latest version, 2025 v.26. https://imgur.com/a/photoshop-2025-brush-tool-problame-OXCUHRL   When using the brush tool, the strokes are frequently interrupted, appearing as single dots. This behavior only resolves after switching to another window and then back. This is incredibly disruptive, especially when recording demonstration videos for my work!  Given the subscription-based nature of Photoshop, it's frustrating to consistently encounter such bugs with each new update (and you need to try to resolve them by yourself?) I don't know how to fix it, sorry for the bad words. I'm just mad for now T__T

I'm trying to Quick Export to Jpeg as i have done in the past years and the quality was set at 12...now the highest quality is 7 and I can't go any higher.So the photos are being saved like 24% instead of 100%... Please help....    Sincerely confused..Sam

Hi! i am embedding an illustrator file into my photoshop file but whenever i place the image it looks completely different from the original file and i do not mean the colors i mean the shapes are on completely different layers. Ive had this happen to me multiple times now but i dont know how to fix this. it just fixes itself after some time. Does anyone know a fix or what's causing this to happen?

In Photoshop: I open a photo and duplicate it. Adjust Saturation in HSL adjustment layer to say 75 (yes very high but really want to see what's happening). On duplicate I addjust Saturation (not vibrance) in Vibrance adjustment layer to same, 75, amount. The photos are very different.Why?See attached photo.

Hi, I frequently import TIF drawings into photoshop in RGB 204, 204, 204 (grey), but need to change all pixels to 255, 255, 255 (white).At the moment, I'm using the paint bucket to change the grey pixels to white. This is time-consuming because PS doesn't do a flood fill because of jagged edges. Is there a way of getting PS to recognize all the grey pixels and change them to white?

What is the importance of "Apply Layer Mask"?  

I am writing a book about a painter.  I have many of his works, but they are damaged. The damage is very evident in the photos I have taken. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to "repair" the damage by retouching the photos. I'm on a Mac Mini running Sequoia and have a creative cloud subscription. My experience is limited, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I want this simple effect:The line is above the text and where they intersect, it cuts the text content. Where they don't intersect, the line is visible. I'm using red just to make it clear, but I will be using a black and white texture to emulate something like this: Important: I need the text to be editable, so the texture will stay on top, untouched. I can't rely on making a selection out of the text and then create a mask from that selection, because then I'm stuck to only being able to use that text. Also, when it comes to the texture, should my texture be 100% black and white, or can I use texture that has gray as well? Or do I absolutely need black over transparency, only? I would like this to be a workflow where I can save it as a style so I can easily reuse it. Thanks

Hi community,can we change a server path in PS Droplets? The situation is as follows: we have several Droplets, some of which are linked to JavaScript, where we no longer have the original PS actions. Now the server path has changed and the server has been taken offline.Is it possible to change the path in the Droplets? Or does anyone know of a way we can do this so that we can use the Droplets again? Thank you very much for your input.

This is one of those things that I have been annoyed by for ever, and I am wondering if it can be bypassed? When you are zoom way way in to a path or shape and need to move a point, if you are close to a guide then the icon switches to the Guide Edit tool.   The GIF below is not 100% to scale as I could not get a screen shot of the edit guide icon, so I made it.  You'll get the idea though.  I was zoomed in to close to 3000%.  So is there, say, a spring loaded shortcut that will force Photoshop to ignore the guide?  I can turn off the guide of course, but the whole point is to align to it, and better still, snap to it.  This happens with Pen, path select, and direct select.

Photoshop Team first I do not want to sound unappreciative of your work in PS. However, just realized the panel in PS where Files (image attached) are located. How difficult would it be to add LrC link. This would definetly enhance the interoperabilty between the apps.

I'm planning to buy a PC primarily for Photoshop and Lightroom, along with some video editing using After Effects and Premiere Pro. I need it to be powerful enough to handle the latest versions of these programs smoothly for several years.I have an option to choose between Ryzen 7 7700X, Intel Core i7-14700F and Intel Core i9-14900KF. What would you recommend? I'm currently leaning towards Intel Core i9-14900KF but I've read about some crashes/issues so I would like to be sure it is actually the best option.The other specs would be these:RAM: 64 GBHDD: 2 TBSSD: 2 TB M.2 NVMEGraphics Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX4070 SUPERGraphics Card Memory: 12 GB GDDR6X

In short, how do I use the Curves adjustment layer to match the RGB values of a layer that is ABOVE it?(the one I'm sampling—the one I need to remain UNaffected by the Curves layer) As soon as I click on the Curves layer, all RGB info from that topmost layer disappears. Because this is hard to describe in words pardon the following 9 images 🙂   

I tried resetting preferences -did not work. I have the latest version of photoshop.

I need to increase the size of the menu names and tool icons so I can see them. The standard download size is much too small for my eyes. Can this be done?ps. I work on a 17" laptop
