Solved

just like the title says. whenever i update the programme/reopen it, my keyboard shortcuts and other preferences get reset. i've tried saving over the default shortcuts, making my own separately named shortcut list, etc, and yet my shortcuts keep getting overridden every time i reopen the programme. i make sure that i save my settings every time i adjust my preferences so it can't be that i just "forgot", and it's impossible that i'm forgetting to save my preferences every time i use photoshop when i use it almost daily. it's very annoying to re-do all my preferences whether i want to doodle or do my homework. and it's not reasonable to keep photoshop open forever because having it open in the background while i'm using other heavy programmes like maya or unity makes my laptop turn into the sun. if anyone has advice to prevent this from happening again or any reasons why this is even happening, please let me know.

At some point in the past, I turned off the contextural task bar. I now need access to it, but have not been able to get it to appear in the workspace. I opened the window menu, and the task bar is checked and highlighted, but no panel appears. I'm using OS 14.7.4 on an Apple M3 w/16 GB, and version 26.4.0 of Photoshop

Is there an overlay option? It looks like the app should have an overlay option. Thanks

Hi everybody, I’m looking for some help with image trace settings or failing that advice on reverting to an older version of Illustrator. Image trace on the new version (2025) is nowhere near as good as the last version, which I think was called Illustrator 2022. On the last version the setting just called “Photo” did a good vector of the image you want to trace. In the new version the setting “High Fidelity Photo” does a terrible job! As you can see in the examples here. The left image was traced in the pervious version and the right in the new version. This is making a right hash of my band’s poster. Does anybody know how to make the settings on the new one the same as the last version? and if not, can we go back to the old version of Illustrator? or is the update irreversible? Thanks for your help, Gareth

In LRC, I have installed the plugins for Luminar Neo and Topaz Photo AI. There seem to be two ways to get to the plugins. One is File->Plugin Extras, the other is right clicking on the photo, the selecting "Edit In".  Question- why does Luminar Neo show up in both menu options, but Topaz is missing in the Right Click/Edit-In menu?

This is the first time I haven't been able to download my Instagram reel. It's my first time doing a reel around 45 sec, I usually do reels around 30-35 sec. I keep getting the same error message: "Download failed. An error occured while downloading your file. Try again."  I even tried downloading it on my iPhone and it won't do it there either. I've deleted my cache, restarted the app and still no luck. This is really interrupting my work. Any suggestions?

Hi all. I have a curious one here where my before + after spacing options are suddenly not working. They were working fine earlier today and I haven't updated or done anything out of the ordinary, but those options are mysteriously greyed out now. I can't insert the cursor into any of these. I've restarted and tried a brand new document. Not too keen to replace settings yet as I lose all my shortcuts every time. 😄Any thoughts?

Photoshop started with a pop-up about the new update so I reluctantly installed it. The option to clear layer style is missing. Please fix this.  Thanks.

Hello everyone.I am currently using Lightroom with a subscription via the Apple App Store. The subscription costs 12,99 € and contains Lightroom and 1 TB Cloud storage (I think), but no Lightroom Classic (I know). I recently checked my subscriptions via Apple. There I see 3 subscription options:monthly for 11,99 €monthly for 12,99 €yearly for 144,99 €But there are no further details on what is actually in these subscriptions. Also the Apple support could not tell me and asked me to check with Adobe directly. Can someone here check and let me know the difference between the subscriptions above (apart from the obivous year/month difference) ? Thank you!Hauke

Hello,I am trying to repurpose an After Effects file for another project. The original composition was set at 1080x720 in the AE file I received, but I had to change the size to 1920x1080 for the new project.I've already changed the size of the composition using the "Composition Settings" but I am wondering if there is a way to scale/resize all of my layers to correspond to my new composition size of 1920x1080 without having to do a ton of repositioning. There are a lot of elements and transitions that I would like to keep, and I'm hoping I don't have to recreate too much of that.I know I am basically moving from a 3:2 (1080x720) to a 16:9 (1920x1080) aspect ratio, so I might be out of luck here but I wanted to get thoughts of some others. Is there a quick and semi-painless way to resize my layers to fit the new composition size, or do I have to resize each individually because the pixel ratio is different?

Hi everyone, I need to know if I'm wrong or there is a bug in PhotoshopI have a psd file with, from top to bottom, 1 group, and 1 layerinside the group there are, from top to bottom, an adjustement layer with a stroke layer effect, a pic layer, and a background layerwhen I select everything, the "new york times" group and the "FOTO SINDACO" layer, and then I right clik on both and I choose "QUICK EXPORT" (I set jpg with maximum quality in Photoshop preferences), the exported file from bottom layer shows an error: it has the adjustement layer with stroke over the pic...see what I'm talking about: WHY???this circle stroke stays in upper group, and in this group there is a background layer that shoud stop any transfer mode or transparency, or any mask... In a second PSD file, I have a similar problemsee the layer structure:the Group 01  and 02 are identical; If I select both groups and right click to "quick export", this is what I have:The upper group, "0

Greetings, I have the base 20gb included storage on my creative cloud account which was active prior to the discontinuation of the desktop sync app. I know the files that were there have been deleted and are gone forever but the problem is the available space isn't freed up. When I view the details for storage usage on the web interface or lightroom mobile it shows 6.8gb used of 20. Is there a way to reset this somehow? Maybe it's a glitch, but uploading 20gb takes awhile and I thought I'd ask first.

Hi there!I rendered an animation in 3ds Max + Corona and, besides the LightMix render, I also ended up with the CMasking_WireColor. My plan is to whiten the background in Premiere, while maintaining a soft shadow. Unfortunately, using the Corona Shadow Catcher Material didn't give me the results I wanted.Does anybody knows how to select the background color in the CMasking_WireColor video, in order to select the Interactive_LightMix background video (the main one, with the textures) and lighten it up (similar to what is possible in Photoshop)?

I've searched for answers on this but not found answers that fix my issue. 1. Insert a transition between two clips, it defaults to start at cut. Can I set this (by default) to center at cut, if so, how? 2. I read that you can copy paste a transition - fair enough, here's what I did. Add a transition, set to centre at cut, select all following clips, Ctr + V to paste into the other gaps, instead of pasting the copied center at cut, I get the default start at cut, why is that?

Any help will be enormous.  This issue is maddening.  I've used Premiere Pro to complete many projects, I'm doing the same thing I've always done: ctrl+T to place a new text layer, with the selection tool, double click the text in order to edit.  However, for whatever reason, the software is not allowing the text to edit.  No matter how many times I click the text, Im simply unable to access it.  I've scoured the internet for any answer and no one seems to address it with any accuracy.  Please, any help is appreciated

In the past couple of months, everytime I try to combine 2 or more PDFs into 1 PDF, Acrobat is pulling/merging it as a Portfolio!?!?!? I do not want this & don't understand how or what changed.  I have Acrobat Pro DC.  Help!  Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

I still have PS 2022,2023, 2024 and now Photoshop 2025 on my Mac.  Can I get rid of the older versions without losing data from the older versions?

I was using Adobe photoshop and indesign for university but am no longer attending so I lost access to my account, I have little space on my computer, tried using the cleaner tool on my mac but recieved errors of the appliction not responding.  After looking further I am missing at least one of my adobe folders, Adobe Download, and it is not appearing under my Time Machine backups. Is there anything I can do manually to uninstall adobe?

Obrigado

I've seen this problem on three computers now where the latest update Adobe Acrobat 2025.001.20458 keeps crashing. It crashes after a 2 or more minutes when opening any pdf file. I've proved that it only happens on the latest update as the problem gets fixed when I roll back to Adobe Acrobat 2025.001.20435. I had to disable the automatic update in Adobe as the issue comes back once updated to 2025.001.20458. I've tried running AcroCleaner (https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html) and deleting all Adobe folders from the following:C:\Users\Username\AppData\RoamingC:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalC:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLowC:\Program FilesC:\Program Files (x86)C:\ProgramDataC:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\TempI've restarted the PC and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat 2025.001.20458 but still crashing. This is happening on Windows 11 64bit machines. Below is a copy of error report on one of the machines:Here’s the error report details.<
