Generative Fill / Expand does not work in Photoshop 27.10.0. Generative Fill either fails with an error or remains stuck on “Generating…” indefinitely.The exact same computer, Adobe account, network connection and files work correctly when using the previous Photoshop version.I tested Firefly Fill & Expand, Firefly Image 1 and Firefly Image 5. All of them fail or remain stuck in Photoshop 27.10.0.Adobe Firefly in the browser works correctly.After reverting to the previous Photoshop version, Generative Fill / Expand immediately works again.This strongly suggests a regression in Photoshop 27.10.0 rather than an account, network or document issue.

I created a file many years ago before I stopped working with Smart Objects.  At the time, I wanted to sharpen sections of the image. I now need to enlarge the canvas slightly to augment the tile border, and in the process of doing that, I noticed that my Smart Objects have transparency.  AI says “the Unsharp Mask filter … operates strictly on the color and luminance channels of an image and does not utilize, modify, or factor in layer transparency or alpha channels during its calculation.”  In the first screenshot below, the finished image with all its usable layers is shown.  In the second, the bottom layer only is toggled on and reveals an out of focus section in the left upper corner which is replaced by the Layer in the 3rd screenshot (2166).  What I don’t understand is what is going on in screen shots 4 & 5, which show semi-transparent pixels.  Those areas seem to correspond with what is showing on the respective masks for those objects.  If transparency is not used for maski

Open a document by clicking its thumbnail under Recent Files on the Home screen. Do not click anywhere in the document and do not press any other keys. Press the Command (⌘) key. I am experiencing a reproducible issue with Generative Upscale in Photoshop 27.10 on macOS.When I use Generative Upscale > Firefly Upscaler, the resulting document is created, but the image is completely black.Steps to reproduceOpen an image in Photoshop. Choose Generative Upscale. Select Firefly Upscaler. Run the upscale. The result opens as a solid black image.Expected resultThe upscaled image should be displayed normally.Actual resultThe resulting image is completely black.Important detailsPartner models such as Topaz work correctly inside Photoshop. Firefly Upscaler works correctly in the Firefly web app. The problem occurs only with Firefly Upscaler inside Photoshop. I tested with sRGB, RGB color, and 8-bit images. I reset the Photoshop preferences completely. I signed out of Creative Cloud and signed back in. Its been more than one week that im facing repetitive Firefly (Fill and expand function) error inside photoshop with this message:The service is not responding. please check your Internet connection and try again.I checked my Firewall (is off), sign out and in several times, and also made sure To disable Rosetta mode and run Photoshop natively on Apple Silicon (its Mac), but the function is very randomly working maybe 1 out of 10 tries. I still have credits and this problem didn't exist before.  

The only neural filter that works is color transfer. All the other filters are grayed out and not functional.

I’m asking a question for a colleague. When ones uses the Levels adjustment in Photoshop, specifically clicking on the white dropper for the white background and the black dropper on the darkest line, is this adjusting the entire image? The reason for this question is to determine whether this technique results in a global adjustment, and not a selective edit, specifically when performing this on western blot images for publication. Global edits are acceptable on these images, selective edits are not. Thank you!

The Sky Replacement tool on my Windows 11 (25H2) PC was working perfectly up until I update Photoshop to version 27.10 .0 three days ago.Selecting Sky Replacement in the Editor (Edit » Sky Replacement) is OK and all my skies appear.When I select a sky, I find all of the sliders and functions, except Brightness function perfectly.The Brightness slider can be moved to both extremes, but no change in Brightness materializes. I have performed a clean instal of Photoshop, without effect (Uninstalled PS with Revo Pro Uninstaller, and thereafter deleted every Adobe folder I could find).Even performed a clean reinstall of the Windows operating system.Finally, I restored my system, from a Macrium Reflect X to a state prior to the Photoshop to version 27.10 .0 update. Low and behold - the Brightness for Sky Replacement works.It looks like a Bug, to me.Appreciate any comments/adviceBrian

Ever since I got a new M5 MacBook Pro Photoshop either freezes on launch or locks up just as it finishes launching. It's unusable. All I can do is force-quit. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app (twice) and renamed the prefs folder so it would generate a new one but nothing works.

For a company that charges an exorbitant premium subscription fee, their software stability is a absolute joke. A routine update completely destroyed the core Lightroom-to-Photoshop handshake workflow, rendering the standard 'Edit in Photoshop' feature entirely useless.When you try to bypass their broken code pathways, you are met with flat, washed-out color profiles that fail to render correctly even when manually assigning the proper color spaces. Adobe clearly does not test their systems properly before forcing updates onto paying users. They are using their consumer base as live guinea pigs for broken code.Instead of saving professionals time, Adobe’s lack of quality control turns simple, two-minute edits into hours of grueling tech support. It is completely incompetent, frustrating, and unacceptable for software that is supposed to be the industry standard. I am actively looking for alternatives to cancel my subscription.It is not surprising that so many people are switching away

I’ve lost the "Apply" checkmark in the Photoshop options bar if I use the remove tool; instead, I now have a semicolon icon.Lost it in the PS version 27.10 and also in the Beta version 27.11To apply a remove I have to use the contextuel taskbar.I already reseted all tools and restarted the option bar.Is this how the option bar should look or is it a bug in my versions?Would apreciate some help with this 

Rotate Object tool is not working.  It appears to work fine through the subject selection and rotation steps of the process, but, when it generates the final image, that image is “broken.”To me, it seems that the low-res object operations work fine and as designed.  However, when the selected image is generated, something is not working correctly.I have attached 2 screen prints - one during the low-res part and one of the hi-res generated image.

Hello,I recently moved my AppData folder to another drive as it was taking up a lot of space. The old path was C:\Users\<myname>\AppData\Roaming as is the default, and the new path is E:\Windows\AppData\Roaming. Moving the folder like this is a functionality supported by Windows, and Photoshop is the only application that has had a problem with it.After the move, certain functions in Photoshop cause the following error to appear:There are not any smart objects in this file, I just made a 16x16 canvas and immediately clicked "Quick Export as PNG." I have also noticed that the error message depends on what I do before first clicking Quick Export as PNG. For example, if I open a canvas, draw on it with the pencil too, and then try to export, I see this:Other export options such as saving a one-layer image as a PNG work but this is very inconvenient.Another thing I've noticed is when I open Photoshop now I don't see the typical Home screen with recent files and everything, it just ju

Do we have an update on the colour/contrast shift for both latest versions of PS and Beta?  Latest PS still shows the same shift when an image has been loaded.  There are other bug reports for the same issue, but no information available as to the status of this?

My ADP Pro v3 extension couldn't be loaded by Photoshop 2023 24.0.1 on macOS Monterey 12.5.1 (non-M chip). The error message is "The ADP Pro v3 extension could not be loaded because it was not properly signed.". I have followed the Adobe instruction at https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/extension-not-properly-signed.html#reinstall-extensions (uninstall and reinstall PS and the extension) but the issue remains.
