Solved

I've written a workaround for the inability to programmatically put arrowheads on lines. My script creates a numeric label and a line. It checks the current document for the required graphic style that has arrowheads. If it's not found, I present the File dialog so the user can open a "styles" file, in which the arrow graphic style resides. In that file, I generate an arrow by assigning the style to the line, and then select and cut the numeric label and the line with the arrowhead. Then I switch back to the original file and do a paste(). All of this appears to work, except nothing is pasted. It's baffling. If I eliminate the cutting and pasting from the script and do that manually, it works. Also, after the script runs, there's something on the clipboard because Paste is enabled in the menu. But it does nothing. Any ideas? The code:var arrowStyle;    try    {        arrowStyle = workingDoc.graphicStyles.getByName("DiagramArrow");&nbsp

I have posted a couple of pictures of something weird happening with my text box. It's like there is an object with a text wrap placed on it in the area, but there is nothing there. I've checked my master pages, I've checked there there are no locked objects, I have checked that my paragraph style ragged edge is unchecked... all to no avail. I have attached a couple of pictures to show what I mean. I have even deleted everything in this area, and dragged down a new iteration from the block before, and it does the same thing. Going a bit crazy. Anybody have any idea what might be going on here?

Working in a project and the select tool (v) is stuck as a rectangle shape tool. No matter which layer I click on, it just starts making a rectangle. CTRL Z doesn't even undo it. It's also doing it in every comp in the project, even one's without any shapes or masks. I can't click anything and am only able to move by using the arrow keys or dragging position. Please help ^->

I have a text field called Name.  I have two other text fields called City1 and City2.  If the word Chicago is entered into the Name text field, I want the City1 text field to be visible and the City2 text field to be hidden.  If the word Detroit is entered into the Name text field, I want the City2 text field to be visible and the City1 text field to be hidden.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have tried several fixes from the forum.  So far nothing works.  All my other apps are fine.  Please see attachment to see what message comes up.  Thank you. LP

I have been waiting for 3 hours now for someone to take my support question. Three hours! Adobe tried to make me "talk" to their robots but I need to talk to a person - but there are no humans at Adobe Support.Or are they having the longest cooffe break ever? No.There is no one there! But they do take our money every month. Is it even legal to take customers money and not deliver the whole package but pretend like you would?

I just noticed a pop-up in the update that states you can now edit PDFs within InDesign. I haven't been able to. edit anything What am I missing? I can't find anything in the menus.

Using the phone app is nice for short form content because it saves you the trouble of transferring your files back and forth with a computerbut the app is missing some very basic audio EQ and Reverb effects

Is it possible to move my Adobe Express webpage project over to Dreamweaver? There are certain design changes Adobe Express does not (yet) accommodate . . . and I can't find any Adobe Express hacks for what we want to do. It's been over a decade since I worked in Dreamweaver but I'm willing to figure it out!

Is there a way to show all typed text typed into a scrolling text field when you print a fillable PDF form even if all of the text is not visible on screen (because it extends the text box)?

Hi, I have been getting a really annoying bug where my clips change back to the default setting when working in my projects. It's not always the same cause but its severly slowing down my workflow and I'd like some assistance if possible. I've tried resetting the media cache, updating drivers, resetting the workspace layout but it keeps happening in all my projects and its infuriating. The "Show Source Clip Name and Label" is disabled but it keeps doing this anyhow. I've tried switching it on and off but it just stays as my default "Ceruclean" colour once the problem occurs. Refer to the video below for evidence. Please help if you can

In Text Frame Options, Baseline Options there's an option to align the First Baseline Offset to a selection of Ascent, Cap Height, x-height, etc.   Left at the default (Ascent), swapping through typefaces it's clear the offset doesn't align to the ascent. As I understand it, it's meant to be the lowercase 'd'. Though I haven't seen an explanation as to why it doesn't align.   It makes me wonder if it instead is aligned to the top of the Em square defined in the design of the typeface. Would anyone have any confirmation or evidence of this?     <Title renamed by MOD>

I am trying to calculate sum based on a drop down on a page generated from a template , can someone help function doFoodTotal(){var aNameParts = event.targetName.split(".");var cPostFix = aNameParts.pop();var cPage = aNameParts.shift();if(/^P\d/.test(cPage)){var fSum = this.getField(cPage + ".Additional.Total.").getArray();var totalF = 0;for (i = 0; i < fSum.length; i++)if(this.getField(cPage + ".Additional.Category." + i).valueAsString == "Food"){totalF += fSum[i].value;event.value = totalF;}elseevent.value = 0;}}

Ever since the last PS update I keep losing my workspace altough I constantly re-arrange and save it. When I re-open PS the workspace is lost and everything is scattered and the UI is totally different. I have deleted my named workspace, re-established it with a different name but problem is still there. This never used to be a problem before. Please fix this bug.   W10Ps 21.2.1   [version added to subject by moderator]

Hi everyone,I’ve been working with a lot of scanned documents and exporting them as PDFs using Acrobat Pro, but I’m running into issues with file sizes being way too large for easy sharing or archiving.I’ve tried the “Reduce File Size” option and even optimized some settings manually, but I’m still not getting the results I need—either the file is still too large or the quality drops too much.Does anyone have a go-to method or best practices for compressing PDFs effectively in Acrobat Pro? Are there specific settings or techniques that balance size and quality well?Appreciate any advice or tips—thanks in advance!Best regards

Ctrl + C keyboard shortcut needs to be hit between 2-10 times usually before Illustrator recognizes that I did anything. But it's not just keyboard shortcuts. If I click Edit > Cut then click Edit again, the option to paste is greyed out 100% of the time. If I click Edit > Copy, nothing ever happens the first time. After the first time, it seems like a random roll of the die on whether or not Paste is then greyed out under the Edit menu. Usually 2-10 times to get Illustrator to understand that I want to copy something. Only Adobe apps are having this issue. No other software I regularly use is having any issue with the clipboard. I already reset my preferences, disabled "Include SVG Code" in the preferences, closed all other programs running, rebooted, restarted in safe mode. Nothing helps. Windows 11Illustrator 28.4.12 different machinesHappens with Photoshop too but only sporadically

Has a general Community email policy change been made lately? For a reason I have not been able to identify, in the last 3 days I've become bombarded with emails of Community discussions that I have not been a part of or shown and interest in. Every time I look at my inbox I find another 20 Community emails.

As we are sending out contracts for signature, I would like to remove a form field that Adobe insists on installing.  It insists on installing an esignature form field at the bottom of a our contract page.  The contract already has a signature field applied.  It will not allow the contract to send unless this form field is installed(twice).  Just wondering how to edit this second automatic field out before sending.
