Am I being thick or has PPro, since the introduction of the whole AI-powered roto/"Unassigned Masks"(?!) thing lost its ability to do simple masking? Until recently, to mask out a portion of a clip, I'd open the clip's Opacity in the Effect Controls panel, click the pen icon and draw a mask. That's it. But that's now gone, and it seems every reference I can find to masking now only refers to masking an effect. And there's the new AI mask/rotoscoping thing, which I'm not interested in this project. How can I simply add a mask to a layer - I just want a portion of it to show; the mask will not move, and I have no effects on the layer - it's effectively like a garbage matte. Am I missing something? This is from Adobe's help page (https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere/desktop/add-video-effects/create-masks-and-composites/create-masks-using-shapes.html😞...in reality, the maksing tools have gone:...and if I select the pen or rectangle tools from the tool panel, if I also ha

I downloaded and installed Reader several times on my new laptop. Each time, I received confirmation of download and install, but app is not in my Program Files folder, nor findable in my Start function, nor in control panel Apps management - I can’t open it because it seems it’s not there. The installer file disappears from my Downloads folder when installation is complete. The whole app seems to vanish! This is my personal laptop (Windows 11), and I am an Administrator. Tried AcroCleaner and it didn’t help. Any ideas what's happening?

Hi! so i realised my backup was on the same hard drive as the original file. (i have 2 internal harddrives, one just for photography) so i tried to do the right thing and set the backup up on the other hard drive. Oh man, its been a nightmare! I have googled and read til my eyes bleed! I get the permissions thing. more googling, and some guy says set up and everybody and give full access, in desperation i tried it but my pc did not like it!! I have read about it here too, but my system doesnt match! I’m not sure im understanding, is it permissions to my hard drives? or within lightroom? I am using windows 10, waiting for the 11 upgrade! all the threads i bring up are so old, that the stream of commands are not on my pc! where do i find these permissions please? for now i have simply copied the LRCAT file to my backup hard drive, but doing that every day is a pain!  I have tried to set up a  new catalogue as some seem to get that to work, but even though i know exactly where the catalog

Hi everyone,I hope you can help me. InDesign keeps crashing on my laptop. It has always worked fine, but for the past two months I’ve been having constant problems. This is what happens:I work with both existing and new documents. As soon as I try to save them, I either get error code (2) or a message saying that InDesign cannot complete the request. After that, the program stops responding (I have to close it via Task Manager) or it crashes completely.I work on a Windows laptop and save files via OneDrive (this is required for work). I have already tried the following: Saving to a different location so the file path is not too long Using short file names Setting the recovery files to a different location Reinstalling the program Creating new files to check whether the issue is related to the original design Using only fonts that come with InDesign and no custom installed fonts Reinstalling my own fonts Creating a recovery file Saving as IDML and then editing/saving that

I created Adobe Acrobat Sign developer account and try to access adobe sign console using "https://secure.adobesign.com/public/login" .After successful login, instead of getting developer console,  I'm automatically redirected to: "https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/home/" instead. How to fix that ?

ver.2023で制作→ver.2025に変わった時におきました。

Hi, I need the Certificate of tax residence for Portugal, for the year 2025. Can someone please help me with this request? Thanks

Hi,Does anybody know how to paste an object into the perspective grid?Just to be more clear, I know how draw objects from scratch that will snap into the grid (Perspective Grid, there is a tool for that SHIFT+P) , but I have no idea how to copy and paste an existing object into the perspective grid so it snaps to it and act as any other object would normally do after drawing it by using the perspective grid.Your help much appreciated. Thanks

I am on RoboHelp R2026.01.11 and experiencing an issue with the Mini Toc in Frameless output, which is throwing an Invalid Resource error.

Hi there I recently used the free trial and cancelled afterward as I wasn’t satisfied. I was still charged for a year subscription. Could you please cancel my subscription and process a refund

I recently used the free trial but was not satisfied with the features, I then cancelled it but was still charged a full year subscription. I would like my plan to be cancelled and a refund issued

I’m trying to figure out the best workflow for reading and annotating a single PDF across my iPhone and Mac using Adobe Acrobat. What I want: One single PDF file (not separate local copies) Highlights and comments synced across devices Ability to open and read it locally (offline) without using data every time Sync annotations automatically when I’m back online What I tried: I uploaded the PDF to Adobe local storage on my iPhone. Then I chose “Save to Adobe Cloud.” However, when I tested it, the cloud version seems to be treated as a separate copy. Highlights made on the locally stored version do not sync to the cloud version. That confused me, because I chose “Save to Cloud” (not “Save a Copy” or “Send a Copy”), but it still behaves like a duplicate rather than a single synced file. From what I understand: Files stored in Adobe Cloud sync annotations across devices. You can also make cloud files available offline in the iPhone app. So my questions are: What is the correct way

I’m trying to relink files in a document without updating them so I can review them 1 by 1.I have successfully used  .reinitLink() on a mac, but It won’t update the link status until I reopen the document. I have been able to test sucessfully with .relink, but I don’t want it to update automatically.Examplevar pathVar = "/FullPathToAsset/"app.activeDocument.links[0].reinitLink("file:"+pathVar)I tried using links[0].update() after reinitLinkBut nothing happens. Is there a way to check links after these updates are made?

I’m one of four Assistant Editors on a docuseries and we’re very close to turnover on three episodes. I’ve created & saved a custom Label Color preset and would like to share them with the other AEs so they don’t have to recreate the wheel. I can’t find the Label Color preset in Documents (we’re on Mac). Where does Premiere save custom Label color presets?

I have several objects, already ungrouped, but when trying to distribute the spaces between these equally, they just overlap onto each other.  evidence:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w6m8c5N-Hj2LOz4SuS6eKegYWSxMIW5A/view?usp=sharing I just updated the last version of Ai, let me know if I’m missing something

The threads I’m seeing on this are some 15 years old, so.. here we go. Again.  Exploding with rage, because Adobe has managed to kill 3 more hours of productivity today.Stupidly upgraded to the disaster that is called paid version of Acrobat.  Quickly uninstalled, subscription cancelled. Then I went to reinstall Reader and there’s no box to decline McAfee. (Nor is there a way to STOP the installation process, aside from CTRL-ALT-DEL, which I engaged in a panic.)Is there no way to  install without McAfee these days?  If so, please list your fav alternate pdf reader. Thanks to the community. [abuse removed by moderator]

I like highlighting when I'm studying. I noticed that, now, every time I highlight something, Acrobat Reader automatically switches from the highlighting tool to the text selection tool, forcing me to click on the highlighting tool again. This is quite annoying, I'm pretty sure it didn't do that before. Is there a configuration I need to change to stop this behavior?

I’m trying to convert a table in a PDF file to Excel.  The columns and rows are incredibly obvious to anyone looking but Acrobat cannot get it right.  Columns that don’t exist are inserted, cells that are individual are merged, etc. etc.  The file I’m working with has about 20 pages and it gets the first handful right and then suddenly goes off the rails and I can’t even begin to guess what it’s thinking.  How do I share the file I’m working on with Support so that I can find a solution.  When I had Able2Extract I never had this issue.
