I was trying to compress a PDF while logged into my account using the PDF compressor that is labelled and described as "free" but it kept pushing me to either add the app to my subscription or start a free trial. I couldn't continue to the compressor without selecting one of these. Even if I landed on the drag-and-drop page, it would forward me to a viewer where I have to select compression again, and get fed the same upgrade push again. Instead, I logged out and could use the compression tool completely for free without any sales prompts. Why is this? Why is an Adobe user (Photography subscriber) treated worse than an anonymous visitor?

I have a script ready that pushes a report to the folder as a text file.    But want it to use the InDesign document name in the dialog - at the moment it shows Untitled.   It's not critical, but how do I get the filename into the output file automatically?    Any ideas?

Hi thereI have many tens of thousands of images in my various LR Classic catalogs and everything is stored locally on my Macbook Pro M3 hard drive. In total it's taking up over 200 gb of space, most of which is backups and previews. I try to only keep the most recent backup of each catalog but I think the previews are an issue and I need to delete some to free up space. Is there an easy or sensible way to do this? I really only need to keep the previews for the current and recent projects I'm working on. How do I find and delete (or make smaller?) the previews for older folders? And then what happens if I want to go back and edit images from one of those older folders - will it then just recreate the previews at that point?Note that I don't use smart previews as I shoot wildlife and often have to check for details and sharpness at 100%. But it could be good to swap the older previews for smart previews now to free up space?Thanks for your help!

Hi all, I need support ASAP! I need to upload a very important agreement along with two other documents. One of which requires approver's signatures. I think my agreement is too large since it contains pictures, but I have compressed it 3x, and still having trouble uploading and even getting a preview of the signatory. Please please please help me, is this a temporary issue that i should wait out and try again, or should i keep compressing the agreement, or? The error message is never clear on what the issue is, so I would appreciate the prompt support. Best,Fatima

Wenn ich eine Lightroom-Kopie eines Fotos mit einer Farbe markiere, dann wird diese Farb-Kopie nicht zu den anderen Fotos mit derselben Farbe hinzusortiert, sondern sie separat neben dem ursprünglichen, nicht farbmarkierten Foto.  Wenn ich nun von einem Foto mehrere Kopien ziehe (cmd+T) und diese jeweils verschieden farbmarkiere, dann werden sie eben nicht zu der Gruppe der anderen farbmarkierten Fotos hinzugestellt, sondern sie bleiben im unmarkierten Rest der Session. Mit der Folge, dass sie gerne übersehen werden. Was muss ich tun ?

I need to modify several JPEG, JPG, PNG, and BMP images to 350 dpi and 200mm width, then automatically save them as JPGs with optimal quality (12) and standard baseline.I recorded an action.Then I used the following script to repeat this action. However, when encountering PNG files, the action halts and prompts me to save the original PNG. Hello everyone! Today I downloaded Creative Cloud Pro. I have downloaded Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. The Creative Cloud app was first in Nederlands (Dutch). I just switched it to Englih.  My Question:How do I download my Creative Cloud app's in English language?Right now everything is in Dutch. 😞  - My Apple OS is in Dutch. - I live in The Netherlands- But I need Adobe programs to be in English How can I do this? Do I have to unstall and reinstall? I didn't see anywhere to choose my lanuage before I downloaded. It automatically downloaded the Dutch version. Or do I have to reinstall my Apple OS to English first?  Thank you very much!- Jennifer  

I've used PS for 2 decades now. I used to be able to click a KBSC file and it would instantly load as a new workspace/keyboard shortcut. Now it does nothing. I spent all morning looking for information on trying to manually install or import via another method like dropping the file in the preferences folder for the system and I've reached the limit of understanding and find a way to achieve what was so simple some years ago.The reason I'm trying to do this is because I reset my workspace by mistake and all my keyboard shortcuts for that workspace was lost.Since I had previously saved it and often modified it via the KBSC panel I thought I could easily point to the previous version and I'd be set. Or get the KBSC from my other computer and bring the workspace and KBSC back to the previous version.So can someone explain why things are more difficult now to do something that was so easy just some years ago? I am having issues importing jpegs with clipping paths in inDesign 2026.  Normally when i import these files in inDesign 2025 they would automatically clip the jpeg for me, but when I drop these images into 2026 they keep their white backgrounds. I have tried using the import dialogue box, and when showing additioanl options, the photoshop clipping path option is greyed out. I have tried images that worked in the 2025 program so I know it's not an issue with the images. I have also tried using the automatic clipping path but it doesnt recognise the path and is not perfect.  Has anyone else experienced this issue and can fix this? I know I can export images from photoshop as png's, but I have a lot of images and dont want to crop and export them again. Thanks in advance

I have a plugin that I'm developing and I'm using a floating dialog. When LrC has either the Library, Map, Slideshow or Web module active, the floating dialog can be brought to the front by clicking on it from the Windows Task bar. The floating dialog will not come to the front when Develop, Book or Print are active. Is there a trick to this? Is there something that I'm missing? Is it as designed? My pc that has all of my CS3 apps is old and slow as molasses. I know it isn't supported and hasn't been for a while. I know there are updated versions. My programs work fine and I'd like to remain using them since a paid a few thousand for the whole package. Does anyone know a way to piggyback them to a new computer and bypass the whole "your apps are old- not supported" spiel? 

Well, I've been using Illustrator long enough to know that the answer is probably no. There are probably ways to write a script that keeps track of elements in a variable, but that's not the answer. that's why I'm also flagging it as a Feature request.It just accured to me that in software like blender, there's a difference between selected elements and "Active Element", which is the last-selected element. That allows operations to happen clearly between selected elements and the active element: e.g: booleans (pathfinder), style and material transfer...Currently, Illustrator sorts such operations by what's on top and what's at the bottom, which is not as intuitive. if I want to subtract shapes (A) from another shape B, it would be easier to select the shapes (A), then select the shape B last, and execute an operation. That's a lot more intuitive than having to sort shape B correctly, select all the elements, then choose the right operation (minus front/minus back...). If Illustrat

I am having problems with the new lightroom update 15.0.01 (The lightroom assissted culling update). Whenever i am importing images from either my memory card (copy and import) or from my hard drive, just (Add to library) Only 1 or 2 of my images are actually gettting added into my library. i have ticked the option for do not add duplicates checked, and i am able to select all the images i am wanting to import. but they are not actually adding to the library! i keep repeating to pricess and only gaining 1 or 2 images each time. so there must be an issue. when i kept trying this process with the copy and import option through my memory card from the 200+ photos i was wanting, by the time i had actually got all the photos in my library i had over 1200+ photos in that folder on my hard drive!  i am really worried about loosing images when i try to mass import images such as portrait shoots and wedding galleries

I've tried everything: logging out, checking out enhanced security, and repairing Adobe. Nothing works, and I really need to use the tool ASAP for work. Very frustrating.
