Hello, I was given a psd file for an advertisment for social media at 300dpi (4500pixels x4500 pixels...I need to get it to 1080). I have tried all the methods I can think of to export it at 72dpi without issues but every time there is something wrong with it (e.g. block color borders around images growing slightly, text/logo becoming bolder or moving slightly etc.). I have even tried rebuilding the file in a new 72 dpi file but that doesn't even work (if I turn a logo with text into a smart object then use the free transform tool to downsize it it looks different from the original 300dpi file on export). Is there any way to export the file so that it looks exactly as it does at 300dpi? Thanks
How do I even upload photos to sell I can't seem to find the button or is this it ?
Bought a product from Bracken Design which contains a 1GB .asl file with styles. It took 10 min just to import the styles. I immediately closed it after it imported them. Now, when I try to open PS, it stays on the splash screen. I'm on macOS Catalina 10.15.7, Photoshop 2020.
Hi all, How do I have photoshop open from a certain folder everytime I hit (CMD - O) or File Open? Currently it constantly opens from my download folder and all my files are stored elewhere so I have to navigate to my files everytime. I chekced the prefs and "file handling" only allows me ot tell it where to SAVE to, not where to open from. Please help!!
I use Photoshop exclusively for manipulating scans of philatelic (stamp) material added to my databases. Not sophisticated alterations but....essential for visual presentation ergo I am an amateur notwithstanding some 15 years of basic usage of the program. A couple of recent updates of Photoshop have made my work problematic. 1. The size of saved images are crucial if I embed them in articles I prepare for publication. Previously, when I saved an altered image I could see, prior to saving it, the size in the "save" window. As I reduced the image size the new value would be displayed on the right side. That feature is no longer displayed. See appended image grab. 2. I frequently use the "Exposure" popdown to enhance the quality of my images. Previous versions of Photoshop had a triangular symbol (quite small) that could be moved to adjust the exposure levels. That has now been replaced with a considerably larger
I uploaded a short MOV file. Picture and audio waveform appear in timeline. But no pix or sound in the viewer screen on playback.https://firefly.adobe.com/video/editor/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:c516efca-584f-47da-b521-4f144f6fadcc
I'm currently using Photoshop v26.10.0 and wish to update to Photoshop v27.0. In the Creative Cloud app, my "New updates" list includes Phototshop v26.11.2 and Photoshop v27.1, but not Photoshop v27.0. (Updating to v27.1 works and migrates my preferences, but that version of Photoshop has a bug that prevents me from using a specific feature that I need, hence my interest in updating to v27.0.)Within the Creative Cloud app, I can find "Older Versions" of PS, including 27.0, but when I install from that panel, none of my preferences/actions/presets are migrated, and my PS 26.10.0 is not removed. Is there a way to upgrade to v27.0 that will migrate my preferences and remove v26.10.0?
I am having a problem with color calibrating my monitor and Photoshop under Windows 11 that I didn't have under Windows 10. Settings:Monitor: Dell UP3216PQ (this is a wide gamut 10bit monitor)OS: Windows 11 ProCalibrating software and device: Xrite i1 Display Pro and its accompanying calibrating softwareSoftware for color management under Windows: Dell Display Manager With Xrite/Dell software, I have the option for two calibrations based on different settings. Normally I do one based on sRGB and one based on Adobe RGB. Xrite/Dell Display Manger calls them CAL 1 and CAL 2. So CAL 1 and CAL 2 are essentially sRGB and aRGB profiles created by the software. However, this monitor has hardware color calibration so it writes the tables into the monitor's memory (as far as I understand it). I understand when I switch between from CAL 1 to CAL 2, the desktop and windows apps which generally which are not aware of the monitor's color settings, turn out quite saturated in their col
Having a horrible time with the generative fill now that I paid for credits. The back story: I had tried removing wrinkles from a wedding dress in a shot last week using nano banana but it did some strange distorting of the subject and shifted the subject leaving weird bands around her. I tried a similar edit today with nano banana and this time it worked flawlessly! I tried it again on another shot. This time it said I had to buy credits to use the feature. Fair enough. If it was working this well now, it was worth it to me. So I bought 2,000 credits and tried again. It failed twice. No reason explained. I restarted photoshop. Tried again. This time it looked like it was working. Progress bar got close to 100%. Then I saw a message display breifly saying something about it was going to cost 10 credits. ok. But no result appeared. Tried again. Same thing. No results. Restarted photoshop again. This time it returned a horrible result. Similar to the time I used it last week. Distorted t

Hi I want to post a bug, since photoshop 2026 update something has changed with the HUE/Saturation adjustment layer. Everytime you seclect the adjustment layer the first field is selected. If I want to do something like change the brush with a shortcut or remove or make a mask also with a shortcut it is not working because the first field is selected and then you are typing in that field instead of changing tools with a key. Can you please change it back to how it was? Thank you.
I upgraded to 2026 and I get an error if I open more then one ARW file type at a time. I can open 1 at a time, but if I open multiple, I get this error "Could not open “XXX00401.ARW” because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file. I've never had this before and never had issues until. now.

As a paying customer I have to voice my dissapointment with the state of Adobe apps and improvements year after year. I am looking at my Activity Monitor and can't believe Photoshop takes up 4,5GB of Memory without any open files? I feel everything is being dumped into mediocre AI development while the usability of Apps keeps dropping.
Hi, I just purchased teh Photo Shop App and find it very linmited in what it can do.On line video show versions of Photo Shop with alot more features. The version I have cannot do simple tasks like revert colours.
This happened to me tonight. Could not fix. So I lost all my work. Found some solutions that worked for some folks, but none worked for me, though. Adobes products are getting worse and worse constant errors.
I am reporting a reproducible issue affecting Photoshop versions 23.0 through 27.0.Behavior in Standard Mode (Non-Admin):Home Screen: Does not load (blank or hidden).Neural Filters: Clicking the menu item causes an immediate crash.Export As: Returns an error or fails to open.New Document: The "Use Legacy New Document Interface" checkbox is greyed out.Behavior in Administrator Mode:When running Photoshop.exe as Administrator, all the above features work correctly.Comparison:Photoshop v22.2 works correctly in Standard Mode. The issue appears in v23.0 and later versions. Then, I have compared the log files located at %AppData%\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2026\LogsRunning as Administrator (Working) The log continues writing after the "Dev Ready" notification and proceeds to load plugins.[2025-11-18_15-30-38][45740][Warn] [general] We are going to deprecate hostInfo access soon. Hello,I use an Intuos Pro Wacom drawing tablet (A4). I've recently noticed (I don't know since which Photoshop update) that when I draw a line on the tablet with the Intuos Pen, there's a slight delay in the line appearing on the screen. I don't like that. Is this due to a setting in Photoshop, or what could be the cause? Perhaps an outdated graphics card (NVIDIA Gforce GTX 1050)?
Hi folks, This is a super basic question (I'm only a very occasional Photoshop user!). Please check the video below. I want to draw a gradient only on the selected layer, but when i click and drag, it creates a gradient layer above. How can i draw a gradient only on the selected layer? Thanks!
Hi guys, Every time I use select and mask to refine my selection and output it as a new layer with mask, then disable the mask to look at the before, I get a bunch of artifacts on my image. Refining the mask using a brush with white or black doesn't work either. I'm attaching a picture for you to see.I'm on a MacBook Pro with an M2 Max chip and 96 GB memory.
When I try to download my edited image it remains at 66%
Hi everyone. When I choose a color in Photoshop (2026 Mac), either using the eyedropper or the "Color" window, it's selected as the background color. This never used to be the case; it simply became the foreground color. How can I set it to become the foreground color, as it was in previous versions? Perhaps there's a setting?
Hi, folks. I have a roughly one-thousand-layer Photoshop file, and I'd like to export all the layers as files (even if I have to do it in small batches), but I do not want Photoshop to grab the entirety of the canvas, which it currently does with each file. The result of my exports is that I'll have one huge canvas with a tiny layer exported each time. I would like my layer and canvas to match in size. To be specific, my original document is about 150 inches by 92 inches. Each layer is roughly 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches. When I run Export Layers to Files, I end up getting files where the smaller layer is placed within the entire 150-inch canvas. But what I want is for each exported layer to match the layer size, not the canvas size. In other words, I want each exported layer to be roughly 2.5 by 3.5 inches. Is this possible? I'm using Photoshop for Mac, 27.1.0. Thanks!
The file in question is 90.7 mb, and i can open files much larger than it is without a problem. Is there a workaround for this somehow?
