We have certain items with grayscale photos that use CMYK ink that we need to convert to black ink only. However when I use Convert to Grayscale or Digital Printing (B/W) to achieve this, the photos become extremely dark, unless I turn on Output Preview, at which point they appear brighter.  The dark appearance happens whether I’m viewing them in Acrobat or a web browser.  Why is this happening, and how can I prevent it?  It has caused confusion when proofing to clients.Using Print Production → Convert Colors → Gray Gamma 1.8/2.2 gives slightly better results for the photos but turns all of the text a faded gray color.Examples shown below:Original photo using 4 colorsConverted to grayscale using preflight, regular viewing in Acrobat/web browserOutput preview turned on in Acrobat

Here is the (very) simple process. This added to V1 level, Drag a short clip to make a sequence. Use the Type tool to add text, e.g. TESTING, this creates on V2 level, with a black background Find Track Matte effect, drag onto V1 Video, then in effects select V2 (Text layer)The text appears on top of the video, but the video is now visible through the lettering, depending upon the letter font size. This is what I want, BUT, the text background colour is BLACK.Can this be changed?I’ve done this effect in other ways, but it involves more colour layers, I was hoping to change the degault black, rather than having to use several colour layers. Thanks in advance.

I am a package designer working on a presentation. The past week or so, I’ve been having issues where a package image doesn’t show up when its Ai file is placed in Ps. In order to keep my presentation Ai files as small as possible, the placed images are PNGs, sometimes JPG, but I prefer the transparency of the PNG. (Not sure if that’s relevant, but possibly.)In my workflow, I start by making label layouts in Ai on the supplied dieline. In another Ai file, for the presentation, I place my layouts on top of images of, let’s say a bottle of cranberry juice, to simulate what my label would look like on the bottle, and save the presentation file. To make a shelf render (a picture of the new cranberry juice label on shelf in the store), I place the appropriate page, linked, from my presentation document into an image in Ps, masking out the unneeded content. Then I place that PSD file into the presentation file. Then save the presentation file, and make it a PDF for distribution to the approp

I manage a small business IT dept.  We have Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 licenses.  I have a laptop that died  and wish to install Acrobat on a new laptop but it says the license is in use on another device.  I cannot get onto that device to deactivate.I tried logging in with the user account from that laptop and it states there is no account.  This is bizarre since I had to create the account to register the product.I can find NO phone number to call support and have been running around in circles. I am so frustrated with Adobe right now I am thinking of switching to another product. Any advice would be helpful.

I placed an SVG of a bar chart into an Indesign file, and Indesign is rasterizing the SVG rather than keeping it as a vector. When I export a relatively low-quality PDF for web viewing, this makes the chart look awful. What’s worse, Id is even clipping some of the bottom pixels from its own rasterization. I want this graphic to be vector, because that’s the only way it’s going to look decent--why is that so hard? PDF works great with vector graphics, so it makes no sense to me that Id would rasterize this.I made the SVG in Inkscape originally and further modified it in Illustrator. It is all paths and (outlined) text--no raster image anywhere in it. I have checked through my Export to PDF options for anything relevant, so I unchecked “Compress Text and Line Art” but that did nothing. Any advice much appreciated.

Hi!Second one of the 2 different recordings recorded with external participants in the same project got stuck in the processing step (for almost 1 day). For this reason, I cannot download the original recordings of the participants separately to make edits on them.   Screenshot: First one is completed. Second one is stuck at processing.  Screenshot: Cannot download because one of the recordings is stuck at processing. Anybody knows a solution? Thanks!

Hi, I am not sure how I set this up or what it is. Is this a good way to create consistent spacing between a caption and an image frame above? If so how do I adjust it? Thank you,Charlie

I've been doing this same exact process for over a dedace without any problems whatsoever. Suddenly, today I keep getting an error message saying that Adobe Illustrator is "unable to export the following files". I'm just trying to run a batch export to SVG on 24 artboards containing very simple logos. What changed? This has never een an issue before...

We really don't want anyone uploading documents into PDF Spaces and allowing Adobe to hover up all our organizational data to train their AI. The PDF Spaces tool sounds neat but raises some serious data loss prevention and access control and compliance auditing concerns.

Creative Cloud does not give any options to install 64-bit programs on my computer (even though I run a 64-bit system). Acrobat (not Reader) in particular I’d like to have as a 64-bit, but there’s no option to change it to that. How do I go about changing this? Are all apps available in both 32- and 64-bit architecture or not?
