Verg large files sizes

New Here ,
Dec 01, 2025 Dec 01, 2025

I'm trying to save a 7-page PDF, but it's saving as 210mb. Compressing the file works with Adobe's online compressor, but the images become very blurry. Am I missing something? There are 6 images spread across 7 pages.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

A 7-page PDF becoming 210 MB usually means the images inside are very large or not optimized. When the online compressor makes the file smaller, it reduces the image quality, which is why it looks blurry.

Here are a few things you can try:

1. Use PDF Optimizer (Acrobat Pro)

File > Save as Other > Optimized PDF

You can control image quality and size more precisely.

2. Check if the images are scanned

Scanned pages can be very large. You can apply Optimize Scanned PDF to reduce size.

To know more about optimizing the PDF please check the help page https://adobe.ly/4pGtEcU

Let us know how it goes.

Your PDF is huge because the images are likely very high resolution. Compressing online reduces file size but also image quality. To fix this without heavy blurring, try resizing or optimizing the images before inserting them into the PDF, or use a PDF editor that lets you adjust image compression/quality during export.
