Hi Guys,
Has anyone attempted to try and configure a javascript/Jquery Countdown Timer to function in BC? were you successful?
My theory:
Install javascript/Jquery Countdown Timer to "Online Shop LayoutsIndividual Product - Large".
*Timer will activate based on tag "Release date of product" {tag_releasedate}
and
*Timer will end based on tag "Expiry date of product" {tag_expirydate}
Will this work?

Reegan

Hi,
Thanks for the response, Liam.
I actually managed to test my theory and got it working... had one minor problem with the format of the {tag_expirydate} which displays 18-SEP-2012 and the script I used required the date format to entered as 18 september 2012,
So I used a {tag_custom} instead to get it working until I am able to implement a permanent fix to the expirydate format.
I'll post the code I used and what I did to get it working later on this week, just incase someone needs help.
Regards,
Reegan

I just reformat so dates are compiled into formats I need ![]()
Glad you got it working.

I am looking for something like this for a site I am building... did you end up posting the code somewhere?

Hey,
I used this script, because it was simple and met my requirements at the time - http://devingredients.com/2011/11/building-an-extensible-jquery-countdown-plugin-from-scratch/
I did not have time to reformat the script as Liam mentioned only because the project was scrapped, however I did get the timer to run using {tag_custom} to start and end timer.
Worked like a charm.
Good luck.
