how to boot without opening desktop

I am setting up a new machine, Mac Mini M4Pro Tahoe 26.1, and have been a long time user of creative cloud.

I am having a problem with boot. The creative cloud icon appears in the menu bar, but also the dashboard opens. I just want the icoon and not the dashboard. I've played with the settings and can't seem to accomplish that. What should I be doing? Thanks

yeah, I've done that and it didn't work. So, now I just have it shut down completely and need to go into applications to open prn.  I was asking to see if anyone has a similar experience with the issue while using Tahoe26.1 so maybe I could benefit froim their experience.
