Manual Update Files for Legacy Versions of Illustrator (AI-10, AI CS2, AI CS4, AI CS5, AI CS6).

I don't claim to be a "creative professional," and barely claim to be a "creative amateur." However, I have been using Adobe product (mostly Photoshop and Ilustrator) for over 25 years and am very happy with the legacy (perpetual license) versions.

"Automatic Updates" are no longer available for most of these legacy products. Luckily, Adobe still maintains almost all updates on its FTP-site <ftp.adobe.com>. However, I have NOT been able to locate ANY updates for Illustrator on that site. (Updates for almost every other legacy Adobe application are present, going back over 20 years, but apparently NOT for illustrator.)

My Question: Does anyone know where Adobe has stashed those "manual update" files for legacy versions of Illustrator? Are they (somewhere) avaliable on that FTP-site? Are they stored there under a different name or category?

Any help locating such files, particular for AI-10, CS2, CS4, CS5 and CS6 would be greatly, GREATLY appricated!

(I mean, they MUST be out there somewhere, right?)

Thanks in advance for any help, -- "The Very-Old-Timer".

Hey there, you can generally find most of the original CS (and some CC) installers here:

However, for the most part, those are the base installers for those releases without any updates... Finding updates for the perpetual versions is more challenging and the key, as always, is making sure the source is authentic. Some people rely on the Adobe FTP server while others use archive.org. I don't think this is a safe assumption. I hadn't come across the FTP server until recently, but it seemed like a bit of a mess and going back over old posts about it apparently files have been moved and removed without warning many times before.

Old Timer,

In addition to what Doug said, this ProDesign page reaches back into the Creative Suite downloads:

https://prodesigntools.com/tag/ddl/page/5

You can follow the Direct links/Read more to get into details; and here are links to Downloads, Extras, and Updates, for CS6.

https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html

However, the link to Updates is blind (leads to another Adobe page).

I believe Jim can say how things are now, and whether there is hope, @ProDesignTools

Illustrator is in there so hope that helps, at least for CS6.
