Mis-Linked Illustrator App?

Enthusiast ,

Not sure where to post this. When inside CC Home Page there is a link for Illustrator (Ai). However, the link opens Illustrator Beta and not Ai. Tried to see which way the link was pointing or whether it was on my end.

Hi @westdr1dw,

Thanks for sharing this. Illustrator should definitely launch the standard version when selected. Could you please confirm your operating system and the version of the Creative Cloud Desktop app you currently have installed(check via top-left hamburger menu > Help > About)? It would also help to know whether this only happens when launching Illustrator from the Home page, or if the same thing happens when opening it from the "Apps" tab.

For now, please try signing out of the Creative Cloud Desktop app and signing back in, then test again to see if Illustrator opens correctly. Also, if you open a .ai file directly, does it launch the correct app or still open the beta version?

Let me know what you find. Looking forward to your update.

Abhishek
