Problems with selection and visibility of Artboards

New Here ,
Nov 30, 2025 Nov 30, 2025

I'm using Illustrator 2026 and finding myself struggling with artboards. The name is now on top in a bright font, and as I add graphic elements that are bigger than the artboard, they cover the name so I can't see it. I also can't select or move the artboard. How can I fix this?Screenshot 2025-11-30 at 15.36.03.png

Did you check the artboard panel if the artboard is locked?

it's not locked, if I move the graphic element that covers it I will be able to see the name of the artboard, select and move it. it's only a matter of display

You should be able to select and move the artboard and contents with the Artboard tool without first  moving the element.

You're right, I can do that, but it's not very intuitive and makes my work much more complicated, especially when I have many artboards and need to go through the list one by one to find the right one.

You don't need to go through the list. If you have may artboards, you will see the artboard selected in the Artboard panel when an object is selected on that artboard.
