Wacom tablet crashes Illustrator 30 (CS2026)

Community Beginner ,

Every time I use my Wacom tablet, Illustrator 30 (2026) crashes (Apple M3 on OS Sequoia). I removed all preferences and installed the latest wacom driver, but nothing has helped. The only way to use the tablet is to reinstall the Illustrator 2025 version. I thought it's good to share this. Maybe someone has an idea how to solve this.

Hi @Rita287356844jmn,

Thanks for getting back to us. Sorry for delay in getting back. Just checking in to see if you're still running into the crashes or if the issue has been resolved since your last update. I also wanted to clarify that the guidance around Wacom drivers applies to both macOS and Windows. You can follow the steps outlined in this article for Mac as well: https://adobe.ly/4aTMs47.

Please give it a try if you haven't already, and let me know how things look after that.

Hello @Rita287356844jmn,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind manually reinstalling the Wacom drivers by following the steps shared here (https://adobe.ly/3Xt9A1H) and checking if it helps?

Also, try the suggestions shared here (https://adobe.ly/3XxwKnE) and let us know how it goes.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for your quick reply, but I have a fairly new Mac (M3 processor) and have already tried all these tips (the link appears every time there's a crash), but they're all for Windows, right?

This worked now, I uninstalled the wacom folder in the apps folder, deleted everythin which I could found when I searched for wacom and deleted the WacomMultiTouch.framework in the Library. And then I reinstalled the wacom driver. Thanks!
